TWG Tea Omdömen 

We placed an online order shortly after they opened for shipping to Denmark and we were very pleased. The teas arrived quickly, very beautifully wraped along with a letter and free samples.

I bought two varieties from I.G Airport duty free shop where the lady kept insisting that I take two different flavours of Darjeeling tea and not for once mentioned the price of the tea she showed . The flavour was mediocre but the price of 500 GM of tea is the same as a diamond jewellery. It’s a completely overhyped , overpriced scam of an outlet and must refrain from buying . The packed ones gives you the misconception about the price till you buy the leaves by weight . In my opinion , avoid the outlet at all costs unless one wants to be robbed in broad daylight .

I went to the shop in Oxford Street. The shop is beautiful and the selection of tea amazing. Also the service is wonderful. It reminds me of Mariage Freres. The tea is also as expensive.

But that is where the similarity ends. Marriage Freres have very good quality tea however, the teas I bought at TWG were all very low quality and actually reminded me of Lipton. The issue is the base tea is poor quality and the flavourings seem unnatural or weak. It is as if they sprayed the tea with aroma which washes off when wet!

I am wondering if the tea has such low turnover that the teas sold to me were a couple years out of date. But then all three different teas were the same poor quality and taste and one was advertised as new.

Another bug bear is the way they act as if it is an old established tea purveyor but actually it is a a newish company with a clever marketing team. It is just pure hype! All glitter but no gold.

Very disappointing. Go look around as it’s pretty but buyer beware!

I ordered several items to be shipped to my address in Singapore. I ordered 5 days in advance before leaving the country. One would think that this is enough time.

Since nothing was moving even after 4 days of having ordered the products, I contacted TWG via email and WhatsApp. Regardless of which person I spoke to, their attitude was extremely rude, impatient, and off-putting.

Service is absolutely miserable and unacceptable.

as i was unfortunate and lied about the usage policy in the SMALL prints ,believing i will be covered ,FOUND out i am not covered the policy does not cover on any components then whats the point of having so called WARRANTY totally scam ,,Stay away from this company you been warned

It is the extremely high cost of the tea that has disturbed me. I bought 110g loose English Breakfast Tea at a TWG shop in London recently - actually trying to seek refuge from the rain. I have only just realised that it has cost me £34.00.

Tried to order some tea I had in S.Korea recently, and it took an age trying to find a website that served the UK. I had to call the branch in London to see if it was legit.

The person who picked up the phone on two ocassions were not very friendly and very abrupt.

They ended up advising me to buy a tea that was completely wrong (I even gave them the name of the tea) but they said the equivalent in the UK was called something else.

Wasted money on two boxes of tea.

I really enjoyed visiting this shop even though it was heaving with customers. The way everything is laid out is traditional and encourages you experiment with different kinds of teas. I ended up choosing a gift set for my partner and the Black chai. Prices are a little on the high side but worth it as a treat.

Ordered from them. Was dispatch and send. But customs get hold of it. We were told that on their policy, it is our responsibility to pay customs for inspection of the parcel. I asked to clarify this policy,
"11.2. Shipments to all other countries will be made on a duties unpaid (DDU) basis, which means you are solely responsible for payment of any applicable duties and taxes upon receipt of your order. If you are purchasing from NON DDP COUNTRIES, you are the importer on record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. You may be subjected to import duties and taxes that are levied once the merchandise reaches your country which are payable by you. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. "

This is there reply,
"Thank you for the reply. Kindly note that New Zealand is a non DDP country and we ship all our consignments on a duties unpaid (DDU) basis, which means the recipient is solely responsible for payment of any applicable duties and taxes upon receipt of your order and any additional charges for customs clearance"
We will only received a partial refund as they will charged us an estimated SG$101.36 for freight charges as the parcel will be send back to them.

Very disappointing for a prominent brand. Do not buy from them. There's a big chance your parcel will be held by customs.

Because of lockdown, we had to order our favourite tea online. We had to pay for shipping, but not too bothered as the tea arrived really quickly and perfectly packaged. Really pleased, would order again.

Ordered here a week ago and just the next day my order was shipped. Very fair costs for DHL Express delivery and very delicious teas. The package was securely wrapped and arrived safely. The customer service has answered all my questions with great kindness and always on the next day. I'll definitely order here again. But do pay attention for anything you write at delivery instructions during the order process. They can forget to apply it :-)

I ordered from them a week ago, and it was one of the best online shopping experiences ever for me. Shipping was prompt, and they gave me a lot of samples to try with a note explaining each tea flavour. They also added a cute postcard too. It really made my day.
I will definitely purchase again! Their tea is luxury, so is the service.
