Turisol were great last year but now not so much
We have used Turisol for a previous holiday and had no issues at all. This year however was different. Don't get me wrong, the villa (villa maite) was lovely and the kids loved the pool. However we had two major issues, the first of which was the electric tripping out of you tried to use the hob. Called the 24hour emergency line to be told they couldn't get out till the following day? So not a proper emergency line more of a report the issue and wait line. When the maintenance guy came out he had zero English but we made so with translate to get to the realization that you can't use the oven and hob together. Go figure, they insist this was highlighted but I have yet to be shown where and as a group of 9 on a budget we expect to be able to cook a meal at least. This has a massive impact on the rest of the stay as our options for food became very limited and more expensive.
The second more serious issue happened after we returned from the beach and everyone showered. The down stairs suite my wife and I were in had water on the floor so I assumed it must have been one of them getting water everywhere so I cleaned it up with a sponge. Only to find out later when the bath filled with water that it was raw sewage that had back flowed from the septic tank due to a blockage likely caused by the previous occupants as no one in our party was using the restricted items they listed. Again we called the 24 hour unhelpful line to be told we had to wait till the morning. This led to my disabled wife and I having to sleep on the front room floor which was not acceptable and we should have complained and demanded separate accomodations. But we gave them the benefit of the doubt as previous stays with them had been fine. After we had our security deposit back we raised the issues and got the stock answers that the responded within x time and implied that it was our fault due to restricted items ( sanitary products) which none of our party were using. Some people have had token refunds but we just keep getting the same response. Glad we got our deposit back but can no longer recommend them as a company if they won't accept that what happened was unacceptable when paying for a service.
