I am NOT a tech nut so was expecting a…
I am NOT a tech nut so was expecting a phone that was ready to go once battery and card were inserted. All I need is a replacement for a landline that will no longer work in a power cut and with large numbers that were clear (no letters). Instead I was confronted with loads of meaningless to me instructions on how to set it up so in fact it is useless to me and money down the drain. Don't need tips etc. only a working phone

We completely understand that you were looking for a straightforward replacement for a landline. Mobile phones do work a little differently — unlike a landline where someone simply connects the service, a mobile requires a SIM card to be inserted and activated to allow calls and messages. Once this is done, it becomes just as simple to use as a landline — with the added benefit that you can take it anywhere with you.

As for setting up SIM account or adding credit/top-up for outgoing calls, you may have to reach out with the SIM network provider directly - this can be O2 if you used the free SIM.

Bluetooth version is useless!.
I needed to replace my damaged Nokia 6500c (blue screen issue), and didn`t want a full blown `smart` phone, so I opted for the TT 240 after an online chat with their company. My sim card fitted this phone too, AND the literature claimed it had Bluetooth, which was important to use in my car (hands free!).
Well, I later found out the Bluetooth version was the most useless ever!. It wouldn`t connect with anything in my or my wife`s car.
This fact was NOT mentioned on their website!.
Be aware of this issue.

Poor network information
I was not told it won't work on certain networks had to buy a 2nd SIM card and port my number twice, took longer than it should have

Ordered my third phone from ttfone…
Ordered my third phone from ttfone (tt760). Large buttons and screen to replace my old phone which is 2g/3g with a 2/3/4g one. I don't need data because I don't need internet on a telephone just text and calls. Good service, help and advice from Ttfone by phone or email and free prompt delivery within 2 days.
