Just a crap business that loots money anyway it can especially from students WHO DONT LIVE HERE. So they just keep trying to cut that payment when I'm not in the country. PLUS you have to inform them 30 days prior to cancelling which is bull.

Literally just paid for a day pass as the website said they were still open at stevenage.
Once my payment went through I got an email saying that they are closed.

Trugym...Stop taking payments from new customers when you know full well that you are closed !!!!

And update your website!!!!!

Joined new TruGym in Gateshead at the beginning of the year as the gym opened covid lockdown forced the gyms to close. I was asked if I’d like to suspend or cancel my membership. I choose at this time to cancel our memberships and truGym continued to take money from my account. They now refuse to refund monies taken. Dreadful management of memberships I’d avoid this company and invest elsewhere!

Absolute disgrace of a place rude obese staff.
why have staff who cant help you on how to use equipment.
Asked Hayley staff on Friday for help and she said she did not know how to use the equipment.
How can she not know how to use the equipment when she is prompting the gym as she is staff.
All she did was sat down and eat and not help at all.
Staff are the ones who represent the gym and are suppose to behave in a professional manner.
Not sit there and eat cakes.
Ridicules customer service overall.

Absolutely horrified with this gym had been warned by friends should have listened taken 180 pound out my bank in two days with no apologies they taken my money early puttting me in my overdraft refunded it then quadruple charged the next morning this place had is no idea what they are doing the staff clearly haven’t got a clue and just rude still not sorted my money out been told I have to wait till Monday as the feels on desk said he can’t do anything. typical!!!!

I have returned to the gym since the classes started up again, I am happy with the distancing and cleanliness however the standards of the classes are poor, normally they are run by independent trainers but in the move to save money they are run by existing staff. They are young, inexperienced and basically don't want to be there. They put on load music then procede to shout over it. This week i have attended a tone class and a body pump, both were identicle. The Pump was supposed to be run by a girl who no longer works in the gym but according to the booking form she is still there for next weeks session. The only classes worth attending are the ones run independently, much better than the loud lacklustre performances of the staff. Please look at the clientele, they aren't an average age of 18, I am 62 my friend is 72 and we have a lot of people in that age group.

It is quite literally impossible to make a complaint or voice any issue and actually receive a response from this terrible company!! I've been emailing the headquarters with no response for 2 weeks and there's ZERO guidance on their website or online for who to contact (other than your local gym) or how. Poor poor POOR.

So unhappy I've been unfairly charged for 3 months membership when I haven't been since maybe Feb, if AT ALL this year (it's now October). But no way to resolve it. Fuming to be honest.

Joined the gym, but after a few visits I realised that it wasn't as good as I had hoped, the kit was very worn and in some cases bits were missing, the staff were ok, the atmosphere wasn't as good as some other Gyms I had been to. I tried to cancel my prepaid membership within my cooling off period, but they were having none of it. Still fighting 4 months later, just about to take it legal now as they think they can ignore consumer rights and do what they want. The branch (Chatham) don't even answer my emails now! I would think twice if you were thinking of joining, I feel like they just want your money and really don't care too much about the customer.

I've had an amazing time going to this gym. It was a great gym to start off my journey on becoming the best version of my self. The atmosphere in the gym has probably been the best part of going there as it motivated and helped you stay focused when you get there. All of the members that I have encountered at the gym were very supportive and helpful.

Sticking dirty equipment, staff either disappear to back room for long periods of time or sit chatting to each other. Staff come across rude and unapproachable. God forbid you request to leave is apparently impossible! I’m going to have To cancel direct debit. I imagine at this point they may get back to me and I will explain to them that I have given the agreed 30days notice
And if they choose to ignore it then that’s not my problem.

Nice gym and good clean facilities best one in Stevenage.

I regret to inform you that we customers are still experiencing problems with the hot water supply at True Gym in Peterborough.
I was particularly disappointed to learn that after my morning's training before I go to work there was no hot water available and when
I informed staff they were apparently unaware of the problem. I would have expected that in the circumstances that notices would have appeared in prominent areas to warn customers of the problems and so giving them the opportunity to make other arrangements.
Also, I have noticed that when we do have access to hot water the showers are awkward to operate because they will only supply hot water for short periods of time. Pressing the required button on the shower used to supply us with hot water for at least 15 seconds but now it only lasts for five seconds at the most making the experience very uncomfortable.

I usually have an enjoyable and productive work-out at TRU-gym but these problems are starting to make my experience there more and more difficult and depressing.

Stockton branch- good value and friendly staff but the steam room has been out of order for weeks and no sign of it getting fixed.

Rubbish customer service. Lied about helping me reinstate a deleted direct debit so that I would end up having to pay an admin fee on top. Don't join this gym

So far, an excellent option for a gym considering the membership prices are cheap. I was paying double on a different gym and was always having problems but this is miles better.

i will have to leave as they have stopped combat and that is all I went for I came all the way from Tonbridge and now I cant get there anymore as there is no buses from Tonbridge and I cant catch trains .but I think the standard went down when you took les mills away and it was bad that nobody was allowed to say anything . I am 69 I really enjoyed it but not now kind regards shirley

Having moved from another club where I paid more than double the price and much later opening times and had to give 3 months notice to leave - although there was a pool - thought I’d try. Bit apprehensive being a female in my 50’s. Very convenient opening at 5 a.m. and surprised how nice the changing rooms are. Amazing range of equipment - I’ve never seen such an impressive collection of muscles which I found inspiring and people seem to just get on with their workouts no swearing or bad behaviour.

LACK OF CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION

I absolutely love TruGym and spending time there. I use both the free weights, machines and also classes. The classes I would go to are Les Mills Combat and Les Mills Grit as I find those the most challenging. I'm really disappointed that the Les Mills classes were stopped without any form of surveying or feedback from gym members. Bring back Les Mills Body Combat please!
