I wish I could give NO stars!!! It is a shambles!! Poor facilities. Staff are underhand & rude. They do not stick to their policies. My partner cancelled his membership verbally & it was fine, they took another two months. I cancelled several times verbally & writing. They are still refusing to cancel & trying every month to chase for more money. We were both members for over a year. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Huddersfield gym- horrible service, old gym equipment.
i had cancelled my membership as i was on the monthly contract, they still charged me for the next 2 months.
would not recommend this gym

Awful!! Awful!!! Awful!!! If you like swimming, prepare to be hugely disappointed! When the pool isn't packed out with kids' lessons or totally closed off for Aqua Swim, it is a free-for-all in the pool - There is no lane discipline whatsoever, young teenage boys messing around throwing each other into the pool and balancing on each other whilst bashing into people who just want to swim. No on-duty lifeguard (is this actually legal!!!). The pool is like something you'd see on a really seedy Butlins holiday campsite, all it needs is a few lagers hanging in a net in the corner of the pool for the local demographic! The pool is regularly cold (the boiler once broke down and there was literally no heat in the pool), and the steam room frequently fails. If you want to swim, join the KAL club in Huddersfield, an all-around much nicer experience!

0 star! False advertising! Jamie (Manager) advises staff to continue informing customers that your vehicles are safe while using premises, due to the gym car park being protected with CCTV cameras. Found out from Jamie following a hit and run incident in the gym car park the cameras are DUMMIY! Poor customer service and conflicting information provided by staff! Staff were non empathetic and unhelpful following the incident. Your cars are not safe! Head office failed to respond to emails!

Cancelled after one year membership. All exercise bikes not working, along with many treadmills and crosstrainers out of order for weeks. Most of the equipment is very old and remains unfixed for long periods of time.
It's not worth the membership money.
You are better off going to the non-contract gyms you can cancel anytime and who also have new and maintained equipment

Jacuzzi not in use all the time.
Air con on at the gym qhich is fine, but not at the pool. Also, water little bit too cold sometimes.

Poor service. Consistently fail to keep to their own opening and closing times. Management ineffective and ambivalent. Save your money, go elsewhere.

This company doesn’t care about its members, it’s purely about money for these people. The TruGym in Uxbridge closed without warning and we’re still taking payments AND bookings. It wasn’t until I arrived at the gym to see it closed with a sign on the door saying an eviction notice had been implemented and Google saying that the gym had ‘Permanently Closed’. I paid for a year membership and at that point had several months left. The number for the centre was not being answered, neither were emails. Other centers couldn’t help and ahead Office have ignored my emails and email forwarded from managers at other centres.

I have been trying to contact them for a refund for months and have been completely ignored. I don’t think a company who can close a centre without notice and not refund members but somehow have other centres opened and are opening more???

TruGym this is unlawful and action is being taken.

Absolutely the poorest new customer relationships ever!!
Told the main desk I was receiving a poor service from my current gym and would like to try out the Thorpe bay facility’s for an hour to see if I liked it.
Was told by receptionist I could only had a brief tour and if I wanted to try out any equipment I would have to pay for a day pass £16.
Absolutely flabbergasted of the audacity and attitude she had with me. After trying to negotiate and explain that if I like the experience I was going to be joining for the year at £38 per month I was still shunned and advised I would have to pay £16 for a day pass. Please bear in mind that was at 18:30 in the evening and I only wanted to try for an hour. Totally disgusted with the service offered with no thought or effort of building a customer relationship.
Good luck TruGym you are going to need it!

So 1 year later since Trugym Plymouth closed overnight with no warning, I still have received no reply from them about money owed to me. They are a bunch of thieves. To anyone else who has lost their money to them, use bank chargeback. I got 11 months subscriptions back this way.

Two month an still have not go paid the right amount. Keep Saying I will get paid but not doing it.

A positive and social environment to train and meet people. Fantastic facilities. Training and fitness levels catered for the individual. A relaxing atmosphere also with the benefits of the jacuzzi and sauna.

Gym is always clean and tidy, good choice of equipment and friendly staff.

Top gym, amazing staff, quality machines to use 💪🏼
