Caring and sympathetic at this difficult time

This is the second time I have had to use Tranquility. Peter is easy to speak to. Kind, compassionate and reassuring.
I felt my little dog would be well looked after once I left her with them. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Peter was just the nicest man to talk to and deal with. It’s such an awful thing to have to be organising but he made it so much better. He was also super professional and efficient.

At a time when it feels like your world is falling apart and you have to deal with the logistics of what is a truly traumatic experience, we can only hope that the people we are dealing with are understanding and respectful. Pete at Tranquility Pet Cremation was exactly that and a bit more. Our family were deeply upset at having to say goodbye to our 8yr old spaniel after he lost his battle with cancer. As if the trauma of having to say goodbye to your best friend and faithful companion isn’t bad enough you also have to deal with what comes next. Well that couldn’t have been made easier than it was thanks to Pete. Our vet had left the house at around 5:30 pm after sending Jarvis on his way and as arranged, Pete turned up around six which gave us a good half an hour with our beautiful boy. He came into our home and treated myself and my sobbing family with the utmost respect, just the right amount of solemnity and even managed to get a smile from us after sharing an anecdote. He was so understanding of our grief and gave us all of the info we needed. He handled our beloved boy with all of the care that this precious cargo deserved, and then left us with kind, gentle reassurance that Jarvis was in good hands. Communication was spot on and we received the call to say that our beloved boy was ready to come home. We were pleased and upset at the same time but were dealt with superbly, with complete understanding. We got through a few of Pete’s tissues on collection but we were certainly made to feel comfortable in our grief and very welcome. I hope to not have to deal with Tranquility Pet Cremation for quite some time now for obvious reasons. But when the time inevitably comes I would look no further. Thanks again Pete!

From my initial contact, Peter was professional and considerate, explaing the service provided. On arrival at the premises there was a basket to place the cat in. I was given time to chat about the cat and when ready had a few quiet minutes to say my final goodbye. The ashes were presented in a nicely decorated cardboard tube to bring home and scatter, together with some paw prints. It was a sad period for me but made a little easier with the thoughtful service provided

Right from my arrival, Peter's remarkable empathy and ability to put me at ease in a challenging situation stood out. Both he and his team showed genuine compassion and attended to all my needs. I departed confident that my dog was entrusted to capable hands, in a place where he would receive the highest level of care and respect.

Buyer beware. The whole process of saying goodbye in a dignified way to my pet cat has been soured due to the lack of service. I’m £45 out of pocket for the urn that never arrived. The owner will not return my calls, emails or text. I would not recommend.

We sadly lost our beloved Schnauzer Flora in March and it has taken this long for us to feel ready to write a review, as still can't believe she has gone.
Peter handled the situation with empathy, and personable to us. He answered all questions we had, and was on stand by with tissues when needed - which was a lot! Peter was brilliant with us and our daughter, whilst we were a complete mess.
Thank you again Peter for helping send Flora over the rainbow bridge to gain her wings.

Peter is someone who truly 'gets' how we feel when we lose a beloved pet. His compassion and empathy are palpable.
Expectations are high from one's first contact with Tranquility, because of this warmth and understanding at the outset. It seems that the negative reviews of late relate to a lack of subsequent communication from Tranquility, and whilst it is true that communication (other than the invoice) was not forthcoming after our beloved pet was taken to Peter, the care we received was kind, thorough and appropriate at a heartbreaking time.
The loss of a pet is a devastation all of its own, Tranquility understand this - and who knows what is going on in the lives of the amazing team at Tranquility? The communication breakdown of the last month seems to be a blip in an otherwise 5 🌟 history.

A heartbreaking experience – poor service and broken promises

We sadly had to use Tranquility following the loss of our pet on 10 September. Unfortunately, the service we received caused more distress at an already difficult time.

- We were told our pet would be collected, but after their driver had an accident, we had no choice but to take him to their location ourselves due to already having our pet for over 12 hours.

- Accidents happen, so we understood at the time but looking back, considering we were grieving they could have done more.

- The staff member we met was polite and explained everything clearly. We agreed on a wooden casket (with ashes sealed in a bag) and confirmed delivery for Monday, he gave us his business card and told us to contact if for anything, this left us leaving feeling reassured.

- Communication after that was very poor. Messages often went unanswered, and we had to repeatedly chase for updates. On Monday, no delivery arrived. After several more delays and calls, our pet was eventually returned on Wednesday.

- To make things worse, he was delivered in the wrong container (a scatter tube instead of the agreed wooden casket). When I questioned this, I was told it was “a c*ck up” and would be rectified quickly — but days later, nothing has been resolved.

Throughout this time, we received little to no apology, and were even accused of being “threatening” simply for chasing them for answers.

This whole experience turned what should have been a dignified and respectful process into a stressful ordeal for my wife and me. Tranquility showed little care or professionalism, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I will try and included screenshots of our communication for transparency so others can judge the company’s service for themselves.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! full of lies from the start. delivery date not adhered to. i understand delays but when questioned, i was ignored and also then said he was struggling because he didnt want to come all the way as was too far (after he committed to it). After being ignored, he agreed to drop my little one off but rather than the casket i paid for, was delivered in a scatter tube. When asking for this to be rectified, i was completely ignored. absolutely disgusting. An already difficult time was turned into complete hell.
No customer service skills at all. in fact, even when asking about the casket, he eventually replied 'that is a c**k up on our behalf, i will get that rectified ASAP' - which he didn't.

Disappointed is an understatement.

You are trying to cover your back from the awful service you provided.
Yes, max was returned within 5 working days but you informed us he would be returned on the Monday...and when it was delayed, you didn't even get in touch.

Oh, and not the same person. I am Jodie, dealing on behalf of my sister and you know this.

I had an extremely upsetting experience with Tranquility and cannot recommend them. From the start, there was no communication – I was never informed when they picked up my dog. I had to constantly chase for updates, as they never reached out to explain why things were taking so long.

They were supposed to take care of clipping, but to this day, they still haven’t located it. Despite this, no one has bothered to contact me with an explanation or resolution.

When they finally delivered my dog’s ashes, they assured me everything was included – but it wasn’t. This added even more distress to an already heartbreaking situation.

This company showed a complete lack of care, compassion, and professionalism during one of the hardest times of my life. I would strongly advise others not to use their services.

What a lovely and genuine person Peter is. When my darling Millie suddenly left me last weekend I was distraught. Peter was patient and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Millie was returned to us in a compassionate way. It is distressing to lose a pet but Tranquillity made this so much easier. Thank you Peter for caring for Millie and us.
