Jiro was our tour guide for Tsujiki…
Jiro was our tour guide for Tsujiki Fish Market, and he was so personable, kind and extremely knowledgeable and helpful! He gave great tips on where to eat at the fish market and also helped guide us to purchase souvenir knives! We had several great bites that we were not even hungry for lunch, which carried my daughter and I until dinner in Kyoto! Jiro was also extremely helpful in many recommendations for us in Kyoto, that we had an excellent meal that evening as well! Thank you so much Jiro!!

Our tour guide, Jiro, did a fantastic job! He spent time getting to know the members of his group and was kind enough to let us do side quests during the tour (like stamp collecting!).

The Tsukiji fish market walk and food…
The Tsukiji fish market walk and food tasting tour was a great experience thanks to Jiro. At first my wife was hesitant to go because she is a vegetarian, but Jiro was able to accomodate her diet and in the end she was very happy about going. Jiro is very knowledgeable of the area and culture and was very enthusiatic to share his knowdge with us.

Jiro was a enthusiastic tour guide through Tokyo, shareing the history and culture though his own personal lense. He answered questions honestly, openly, and was good fun all round. Perfect tour guide.
If you are booking multiple days of tours, don't rely on tourist Japan to put them together, choose your own accomodation and connections as many of them are completely up to you anyway. The 8 day tour was effectively a colletion of individual day tours with a bonus pickup from train station to accomodation on arrival via train from airport.

Do not book a "Tour" with this company…
Do not book a "Tour" with this company as its not a tour company, you will be organising yourself for most of the "Tour" with nearly mornings and tight schedules, think of this company more as pre booked activities not a Tour!
You're better off booking these activities individually as it will give your more time to enjoy your holiday.
Most of the important information you'll be given will be in fine print and difficult to find as you as you jump from Web link to pdf making it very difficult to follow their complicated instructions and if you miss their deadline you miss the activity.
The accommodation they book will more than likely not be convenient, you'll also have no ability to make changes as go as you've booked nothing and most things require the person booking to make necessary changes.
Whilst the guides are great, it seems they all work for multiple companies, so there is absolutely no need to book with this company, especially don't book a multiple day "Tour"

For the benefit of future travellers, our packages are designed as a combination of guided experiences, accommodation, transportation planning, and independent exploration time, rather than fully escorted tours where a guide accompanies guests throughout the entire journey. This is outlined on our tour pages and is intended to provide a balance between expert guidance and the flexibility to discover Japan at your own pace.
We would also like to clarify the suggestion that we are not a tour company. The majority of our tours are operated directly by Tourist Japan and are carefully designed, reviewed, and continuously refined by our team to deliver the highest-quality experience possible. For a small number of specialized experiences, we work with trusted local partners who meet the same standards of quality, professionalism, and guest care that we expect across all of our tours.
Guests are not expected to organise their trip themselves. Prior to departure, travellers receive detailed travel documentation covering accommodations, transportation guidance, meeting points, arrival information, and tour-specific instructions. Before each tour, guests receive dedicated information explaining exactly where to be, when to arrive, and what to expect. In addition, our Customer Service and Operations teams remain available throughout the journey should assistance be required.
We also offer one-on-one pre-travel calls for guests who would like additional support reviewing their itinerary, understanding logistics, or discussing any questions before departure.
We appreciate your comments regarding the way information is presented and are always looking for ways to make the travel experience even clearer and easier to navigate.
Regarding accommodation, hotels are selected based on factors such as location, quality, accessibility, and proximity to tour meeting points, and many packages offer guests a choice of hotel category during the booking process.

Tour of Tokyo with our guide Jiro was the best!
Jiro led a fantastic tour of Tokyo. We enjoyed seeing and learning about the beautiful Imperial Palace and exploring the iconic Sensō-ji, where we got a chance to experience the rich history and vibrant atmosphere of Asakusa.
A memorable part of the tour was walking through Shibuya Crossing in action and experiencing the incredible energy of one of the world's busiest intersections. I also appreciated learning how to navigate Tokyo Station and Tokyo's extensive metro system, which made exploring the city much less intimidating.
Overall, the tour was informative, well organized, and a great way to experience Tokyo's most iconic sights. Highly recommended!
