Abysmal Customer Service Now it Spartan.
I've run a few tough mudders at Belvoir and the runs and the camaraderie were fantastic. The customer service this time has been appalling.
I've broken my foot and unable to attend, and as I transferred my ticket after they cancelled last year due to covid I'm not entitled to anything. I can drive up to collect my (paid for) t-shirt or I can spend another £9.99 to get it delivered. I've explained I cannot drive (so my kids are missing out on lidl mudder as well), but just got told to get someone else to take us up.
I've always enjoyed my TM's, but it does seem since they were taken over by Spartan, the customer service has gone out of the window. They are still polite, but in no way flexible.
Sadly its time to find a new event run by someone else :(

Tough Mudder: An Amazing and Rewarding Challenge
I've ran Tough Mudders at multiple venues in multiple countries. The challenging courses keep me motivated to work out and train all throughout the year, and the incredible community keeps me coming back. I love that they change up the course each year, introducing new obstacles so there is always something fun and different. It is a great and rewarding challenge!

Just finished the 10K at Mordon park, rubbish obstacles, one was piggy back one was wheel barrow 🥱 no mud at all at the ‘tough mudder’! Waste of money. Check out Nuclear race. 100% better
0% refund policy
i have for 3 weeks prior to my race been trying and get a refund as i have had covid and i am now suffering severely from long covid i have been emailing two SO CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGERS !!!! neither of them showed any compassion or understanding to my issues they both stood behind there company policy of 0% refund .As a company they should learn how to conduct there selves in a understanding and humane manner

Me and my partner tested positive for covid 2 days before the event
Online it clearly stated any purchases made online are able to get a full refund if cancelled 48hours before the event both me and my partner sent an email requesting a refund with proof of positive test
After a Couple months waiting for them to respond I finally got a reply of them refusing refund, they said refunds only eligible if cancelled 48hrs after the purchase was made :/ i went back on the website to check this, shockingly the refund t&cs had changed (surprisingly during the time the head of tough mudda had resigned and the company had claimed bankruptcy) :/

I refused to accept them to move my ticket to another event as i am 10000% sure on what i saw online both me and my partner witnessed this
No way will i ever book to do this event in the future
I will definitely be taking this further they have no clue whats coming for them

Our Tough Mudder was delayed a year due to Covid which was unfortunate. I was happy to delay my entrance to the 2021 Tough Mudder in Scotland. Unfortunately this got cancelled at the last minute (7pm on the Friday night before the Saturday and Sunday events). As infuriating as that was (I was already up in Scotland for the weekend at this point to prepare for the event) I gave them the benefit of the doubt as they offered an option to a delay to another event or a refund. Me and my girlfriend opted for a refund immediately. This was nearly 3 months ago. My partner has not received a refund at all. I did receive a refund of £69 but paid £79 so have chased via email several times over the last 8 weeks. Neither of us have had a response or even an acknowledgement of our emails. All the while, Tough Mudder send out marketing emails almost daily and post to Facebook all the time. There is no phone number for them. I can see from the reviews we are not the only ones. My partner has done the event 3 times already and I had never done it before so it's pretty woeful to treat both new and repeat customers this way. They should be ashamed but I assume from the way they have not responded to anybody they know what they are doing and don't care.
Excellent experience
Excellent experience, teamwork like I've never experienced before , the obstacles are amazing, from giant hay bales to amazing monkey bars with wheels , exclusive to tough mudder.
Thoroughly enjoyed it & met some new friends, ill be doing another one for sure 👍
Absolute Scam
I'd give 0 stars if I could because while this looks fun you will get nowhere if you can't go. "No questions asked" refund policy for 48 hours and you have to pay an extra "refund guarantee" fee to extend the period. There is no customer service phone number and even if you manage to find it "no one is available to take calls" and you can't leave a message. Their refund page pops up with a 404 error and you have to wait 3+ months to get a response from customer service via email. After paying the extra fee due to the pandemic I was DENIED my refund when they finally got in contact with me. At this point they have flat out stopped responding to my emails.

If I could give zero I would. Like everyone else- absolutely appalled by their non existent customer service. Money making extortion is the aim of their game. My event was cancelled in the end and I am still waiting on refunds. Emails are unanswered and there's no other way of contacting them. Yet my inbox is full of numerous marketing emails from them. DO NOT GIVE THEM A PENNY. I've heard numerous stories of people with extenuating circumstances unable to compete and they refuse to give refunds. Ive heard them charge "cancellation fees" that just so happen to be the exact amount that someone is due in a refund. Absolutely disgusting company. I've taken part in a few now but had my eyes opened this year and will NEVER give them a penny again.
Tough Mudder rip-off
Same story as everyone else here: my original event is being "postponed" by a year, so Tough Mudder is claiming that the event hasn't been cancelled. Emails to customer service go unanswered for long periods of time. Terrible service and a ridiculous way to treat first-time (and last-time!) customers.
Awaiting response for refund queried a month ago!
I understand that TM had to move the event date because of covid, that is completely fine. However, I have sent over 4 emails with no response as I cannot attend the rescheduled date.
They can find the time to send a multitude of marketing emails but yet cannot provide a refund to loyal customers who cannot attend rescheduled dates.
I would appreciate it if I could be refunded for the event I could not attend due to the change in date. Poor customer service not to even get a response or provide a phone number. Please provide a refund ASAP.
I am giving one star
I am giving one star, solely because our charity will make some money from this event on Saturday. Otherwise I think they are a dreadful firm to deal with. We are bringing a team of adults with learning disabilities (around 30) to either watch or participate! This group do not have bank cards, mobile phones or e mail addresses, so are unable to 1….Carry out lateral flow tests without a lot of help
2…have no facility to upload results ( all of them already double vaccinated)
3….would have to pay £15 to have it done on site, despite someone who was there earlier in the year, not being charged
4….Only have cash to purchase drinks etc
5….we have advised Tough Mudder if all of the above points, which they have ignored
This is blatant discrimination against disabled people as they will not make any concessions for them
Personally, it took me 4 strongly worded e mails to just get myQR code ( as a spectator to be sent to me)
We were in a packed football stadium last week…..no lateral flow test needed!
Ther is no way to contact this company by phone.
I would strongly advise against anyone using Tough Mudder….they do not deserve your hard earned money
I am now, as Chair of our charity, contacting our local MP and seeking advice on how to make a formal complaint about Disability discrimination
(Plus……why are we paying to watch? I watched my niece 2 years ago…..no charge)
Emails ignored for 3 months
After contacting on a number of occasions regarding my refund for my ticket, I finally received a response stating that they would issue my refund as it was inline with their refund policy. 2 months and approximately 5 emails later and j still have not received my refund. Appalling and stressful service!!!!

The event itself is great fun. But god help you if you have any issues - customer service is appalling. No phone number, emails go unanswered and any changes are chargeable. They also structure things so you can change events (For a fairly hefty fee - but ok) problem is there will be nothing available in your area so you end up changing once to a new event, then again a few months later to get an event in your area. Very clever way of scalping more money from people.
