Unterirdische Organisation - kein Matsch!!!
None existent communication.
Great event, massively let down by their utter lack of communication.
Very poor customer service
Incredibly poor communication, unresponsive to requests for help, they don’t offer advice (you have find out something and then ask for it, rather than them inform you of the options). No refunds but they don’t help you solve problems either, or reply.
Such a shame. Enjoyed the race a couple of years ago with friends, after this year’s experience we won’t ever use this lot again - there are alternatives out there that have far better customer service experiences.
Tough mudder scotland 2025 = awful
Tough mudder scotland 2025 = awful. Only went as a spectator and felt like I needed a medal at the end lol. Poor traffic management in and out, yes we all know there’s too many cars on the roads these days but surely plan with that in mind?! Took hours to get in and out. Then the wee food area where the food trucks were was deffo not big enough. Also had to queue for food for like 45 mins. The routing and signage system in that area was pish too 😂 lots of bottlenecking. And don’t even want to mention the state of the portaloos 🤢
Tough Mudder 2025 - Scotland
First and last I reckon. For some reason there was last minute changes to the obstacles, either several of the big name ones they had been advertising with removed from the line up just days before.
One obstacle was literally walking in a burn for about 20 metres that claimed “danger 4 feet depth”, it didn’t even touch your knees. Another had you pick up a car tire and walk around a field in a circle, it was honestly just embarrassing.
The optionally £26 for professional photos was a complete waste of money as only about 5 of the twenty obstacles even had a photographer, several didn’t have any staff there at all.
The whole thing just felt understaffed and mismanaged. Would not recommend.
I have entered the Worlds Toughest…
I have entered the Worlds Toughest Mudder in UK 2025. It's 24 hours and 100 miles. It costs money and you need a support team, which also costs money.
Cut to getting a spot to pitch up your tent for you pit crew and this is where it started to go wrong. I tried so many times to get a spot that was marked in yellow (grey colour means allocated and yellow is available). It never worked and I tried for days. I reached out to the race director via email and was effectively told "When the checkout button does not appear it means that that pit spot is already taken." Erm, why is it in yellow then? Followed by "It is a error with the ticketsocket website that it is showing C1 & C2 as available, as they are not." No kidding! that's what I have been saying all along and sent you screenshots to illustrate this. Dont you think its reasonable you should help me get a spot seeing as it is your website that is not working and now I'm worried that even if I do manage to get a spot, it may be an error and i end up with none?
Please sort out your customer service, god knows we are all paying alot for this and deserve better.
Farcical
Farcical.
Organisation was just painful. 2 hours traffic jam to park. 2 hour traffic jam to leave. 45 mins to check in. Fairly tame boring course (no tear gas in the tunnel, no ice in the oce bath, broken ski obstacle, etc). Spent £75 for ticket and I would have had more fun and harded work out just going for jog. Will not be coming back for another event.
Tough Mudder Scotland was a shambles
Tough Mudder Scotland was a shambles. Very disappointed. If you like a 2 hour queue to get into a car park and then queues at every obstacle (which were pretty poor to be honest) then this is for you. Take the family to and it makes it even more fun!? Kids love being stuck in a car that long. Very disappointed and won't be going to a tough Mudder again
Tough Mudder Scotland 2025 -What a Shambles
I did this a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Two major issues this time. The first was access which was totally inadequate. Several hundreds of cars trying to access the site through one tiny lane. No signage on delays so road full of locals. No traffic control so if you were coming from the right direction it could work but we were not. Had to leave the car and walk to the start. Course was poor. The event had virtually no muddy obstacles as per the website, pretty much a straightforward obstacle course, with a 25 min wait at Mudderhorn. I will never do this again. It's got totally commercialised, no thought of the experience at all.
Tough Mudder Scotland 2025 - never again.
Tough Mudder Scotland - 2025 ... a let down from Start to Finish.
Paid £30 per person (£90 in total) to camp the night before the event having travelled 4+ hours, although in previous years this was for free and included access to Apres Mud, showers and other benefits. Instead, this year we were stuck in the furtherest corner from the event village and had the luxury of 2 solitary portaloo's.
The 15km event in itself did not live up to expectations, classic Tough Mudder obstacles absent; 'block-Ness monster', 'artic enima', 'mud-mile'...to name but a few.
To top off the underwhelming day, we were stuck for approx 2 hours in the grid locked car park trying to leave, a distinct lack of planning & marshalls coordinating traffic - one marshall more concerned with stopping people using the portaloo's at the campsite rather than helping people enter/exit.
Despite having ran 10+ Tough Mudders, this will sadly be the last.
Trying to transfer a ticket
Trying to transfer a ticket, multiple emails, no answer and no human to talk to!
Awfully Organised - West London
I attended the West London event (May 10) as a spectator.
What unfolded was extremely disappointing. My friends, who regularly run 10K <60mins, took nearly 4 hours to finish the course. According to their Garmin data, approximately 90 minutes were spent completely stationary!!
Where the 5K and 15K courses merged was particularly bad. There were only six tubes available at that obstacle, and huge waves of participants arriving. At that point, a steward advised participants to skip the obstacle altogether. As a spectator, this created a great deal of confusion and anxiety, unsure whether my friends had passed.
Tickets are £15 for a spectator and start at £85 for runners, who were advised to bypass obstacles and so were not able to fully engage in the advertised number of obstacles.
I’ve attended other events such as Wolf Runs, and I have to say the contrast in organisation is quite striking.
Not tough and no mud.
I completed the West London (Henley) event with a group of 30 coworkers. As others have said it was a complete disappointment. It wasn't tough and there was no mud, didn't even have to use the showers at the end this time.
Most of the obstacles were pretty boring and there were huge queues, our team completed the previous Horsham event in under four hours, this took over 6 as we spent so long queuing for obstacles - 40 minutes for the longest one. As others said the electrified obstacle at the end wasn't working either.
For such a hot day too the first water station didn't arrive for a long time and when we got there the water butts were empty. Everyone then got moaned at for taking full bottles of the energy drink. There was also no water obstacles in that section to keep us cool.
Shame - we're not signing up for the next one. I think TM need to re-invent themselves a bit.
Terrible- queues for obstacles
Terrible- up to half an hour queues for obstacles at london west. Lack of water stations and not worth the money
Worst Course we have done in 75
After 75 Tough Mudders, I’m Sad to Say This Might Be My Last
I’ve proudly completed 75 Tough Mudders over the years, but unfortunately, this year’s experience left me deeply disappointed. What used to be a 5-star event now barely scrapes a 1-star rating.
We always run in the first wave, but this time it was so overcrowded that we faced 20-minute waits at some obstacles. It felt like there was more running than ever before—without much purpose or payoff. Just running for the sake of running. The promise of new obstacles? Unfulfilled. We saw nothing fresh or exciting, just the same setups recycled again.
Iconic challenges like Arctic Enema, Walk the Plank, were missing, and classics like Hang Tough are still far too low so anyone tall has no chance in completing the obstacle . The creativity and thrill that once defined Tough Mudder seem to be fading fast. The Hero Carry and Wheelbarrow obstacles I could at home in my garden so a complete waste of time.
To top it off, the event shirts were disappointing in quality—worse than we’ve seen in years. It felt like a step backward to the old Fruit of the Loom days. Water stations are few and far between and on hot days could prove problematic for some participants.
I truly love what Tough Mudder used to stand for, but the spirit and innovation seem to have been lost. After so many years and incredible memories, it’s heartbreaking to say this may be our final one. I hope the organizers take this feedback seriously and bring back the heart and originality that made these events so unforgettable.
Gone downhill
Have done a few Tough Mudders over the years and thoroughly enjoyed them. Did the 2025 West London one yesterday and found it a major let-down. Many of the great obstacles like the ice challenge were missing, the height of the monkey bar challenge seemed to be set up for kids and the electroshock therapy didn't work.
My main issue though was the lack of water stations throughout the course. Only 1 during the 5K run, which resulted in one of my team mates suffering with dehydration and unable to complete the last few obstacles.
We asked for an extra bottle of water at the end, but were refused and told that they could strictly only give one bottle of water per competitor.
Such a shame as this used to be a great event that I've introduced many friends to over the years, but can no longer recommend it.
2025 what a let down
2025 what a let down. The 15k is just endless walking. Obstacles were terrible and very few compared to previous years. Electric walk at the end not working either.
Confusing description for season pass
I was pleased with my Season Pass last year. However, this year it is unclear as to what is included. On one part of the webpage, it stipulates 'entry to ALL Tough Mudder 5km and 10km' events. I feel that a reasonable interpretation is that you can do a 5km and 10km per event, surely that's all events. However, you are limited to one per event day (you can't do both 10km and 5km like last year). Then they cancel Manchester and that is two season pass credits taken. You cannot carry them over to other events (e.g. run twice at one as compensation).
