I have used TokenTax for the 2nd year and the customer support really make it worthwhile using this service. They have helped me through this process and I am grateful.

The software is great, thee is of course a learning curve to it but once the information is in place then it works great. There customer service is really fast and very helpful with explaining the language of accounting and helping get everything in order. For a layman this is a great program and worth every penny!!

First of all the were quickly and personally responsive at my first email inquiry. Kerri was my support person, and was stayed with me through a long series of back and forth email, helping me every step of the way. I am a retired dentist, and I am sure some of my questions were due to my lack of computer technology, even though I got into bitcoin early. If the rest of their company is as good as their support team, I would buy their stock. I have very seldom written reviews, but TokenTax's support was even above the 5 star rating I have given it.

I have used TokenTax for 2 years now, and not only has it helped make things easy for me and my CPA, as a relative tax and crypto novice I have learned a LOT that will help my for years to come. Software is pretty intuitive overall, very powerful with the API pulls.

Only reason for 4 stars is it seems a bit pricey, that may change with time I presume as market competition picks up. But for now this is the way to go and I recommend it to anyone needing the service.

Token Tax support was able to help me with an immediate issue that I would not have been able to resolve for months on my own.

Their chat team was knowledgeable and helped me out greatly when I needed it.

Also, I would not have been able to figure out the on chain data on my own without their software, especially with transfers on and off exchanges to the my zapper wallet, their software made it easy. Thank you!

This is my 2nd year on TokenTax. I started using it for tax reporting due to the ease of use and quality of support. It is amazing how reliably responsive the Support Team has been, even in the height of tax season. They are friendly and always willing to put in the necessary and sometimes tedious research to help sort things out.

Tom went way out of his way to help me out. Crypto taxes stress me out, but he really helped me. Thank you so much, Tom!

I HAVE HAD MY CRYPTO TAXES 8949 DONE BY TOKEN TAX FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS. IVE TRIED OTHER SOFTWARES, THEY WERE NOT AS SERVICE RESPONSE ORIENTED AS TOKEN TAX. TOKEN TAX LETS ME UPLOAD MY EXCHANGES INFO TO CREATE MY 8949 NEEDED THAT NO ONE SHOULD TRY TO DO ON THEIR OWN. IT KEEPS MY PREVIOUS RECORDS THAT ALSO GIVES ME PEACE OF MIND. THE SERVICE TEAM REALLY HELPS AND RESPONDS BACK TO YOUR NEEDS!! IT WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE WITHOUT THEM. I WILL ALWAYS BE A CUSTOMER OF TOKEN TAX!! I used them for 2 years. Excellent experience both times. Year 2 they raised the prices quite a bit to like $3500 for whatever reason, but it's still well worth it for the peace of mind (I thought Year 1 was weirdly cheap anyways).

You upload all your docs, they figure out the details, asked you some clarifying questions, then deal with the taxes, file, and handle the transfer for you.

I liked how they explained the filing options so you can make the right tradeoffs for your situation.

If I make more on crypto in the future they'll be my first stop.

I signed up for the VIP plan in December last year because I wanted to do my taxes as fast as possible. Also, my crypto activity is somewhat large, though it has nothing complicated. I didn't use complex stuff like Defi, yields, NFT, and other stuff. But I have a large amount in general. So I wanted correct calculations to ensure I paid the right amount.

They failed to deliver by April. They didn't even start by then, though I specifically paid for VIP. And today is October 17th, and they still didn't provide the result.

But the main problem is that they don't understand blockchain tech. As a tech guy, I pointed to the mistakes that they wouldn't recognize otherwise, but I don't know what non-tech people would do. In general, their system is very basic, lacks all the standard stuff, and provides wrong results, so you must double-check everything with Excel. To my understanding, they specialize in simple operations, like exchanges on Coinbase, and have very limited support and understanding of the on-chain operations. Take this into consideration.

The other stuff they promised for the VIP plan doesn't exist. Like they promise consultations with a tax expert, chat support, reports, etc. Nothing like that was provided.

UPDATE: So they answered here. With a just attack on me, and most of the things they said are lies. Anyway, at least they confirmed everything in my review. Also, they phoned me personally and said they would report me to IRS for an audit because I left a bad review. So beware.

Excellent company, very very helpful. The issues with cost basis are tough, but their team is very helpful and knowledgeable with this. 2021 was just a crazy year related to defi and staking and farming, so there will prob be some work there needed, but their team was excellent to walk me through it in chat. Very much recommend TokenTax, it helped me a ton.

The software does not always match purchases to sells. Probably can be fixed if I could get hold of customer service chat - I have waited hours and at times over 24 hours to get no help! Got a flip answer that I had already done - when I responded - I got no further response. Had to start again on the long wait... hope that the next customer service person will actually look at my account. Update: it took 4 days of slooow chat but did eventually get the problem fixed. There has got to be a better way to work with the customer.

Frustrated with this site. Cost basis missing even when all coins are fully accounted for. Deleting and restarting API data is loading for 1/2 of the year, where it was fine before. I wish I had saved $200, I cant get the thing to work. I know it doesnt work because it works on other sites with access to the same data. Taxes are due, and I am forced to use a different service (starts with a k...ends with an oinly). Id like to get my money back.

Token Tax software is great, and their service team is even better. I've used it for years. They continue to make the product better every year and they continue to add more and more exchanges and defi integrations.

I have used TokenTax for several years now and I am so impressed with Zac and his whole team. They are so responsive and provide excellent customer service. They not only help get my taxes dialed in, they also educate and help you understand the best strategies.

I have used TokenTax for 2 years in a row and they have been great both times. I used their VIP service this year since I used a number of different chains and had some non traditional transactions. The team was responsive, professional, and knowledgeable (shout out to Ana).

I would 100% recommend their service for any level of crypto tax help.

I purchased a subscription for tokentax in 2021. It did not work at all for me.
Anytime I would recalculate my gains for 2020 I would get a different result (I even got once a loss for the same year while it was obviously not true).
I spoke to customer service but it didn't help.

I tried four different crypto tax softwares and this was the best for my purposes. The team was super responsive to my questions and I would never have sorted out my taxes without their help. I couldn't recommend highly enough.

I went thru 2 crypto accounting software programs before finding Token Tax. The others were horrible with no chat or customer service, and one took my money knowing they could not even interface with my exchange. Complete waste of money. I worked with Elle and she was awesome. Helped me get everything downloaded and then upload my tax forms. I wasted hours with Cointracker which was horrible and took days to email me back telling me they are having issues with Kraken trades coming over. I cannot tell you how many hours my accountant and myself wasted trying to figure out why my trades where not showing. Thanks for all the help Elle.
