I am a Makaton tutor based in Derby. I have been using Makaton now for nearly 16 years so I was able to communicate with my son. I became a Makaton tutor in July 2025 after finding a passion of using it through music. I now endeavour to help families all over the UK communicate with their children and make professional settings more inclusive for our SEN community. My son TJ and myself joined tiktok in 2023, under the name @tashaandtj, and took the platform by storm with our learning to communicate journey and have now racked up an amazing amount of followers across social media platforms. Tasha is an amazing Makaton tutor — kind, patient, and understanding. She always goes above and beyond, taking the time to make sure everyone in her class understands. Her explanations are clear and thorough, and she never rushes anyone who needs extra help. I would 100% recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Makaton!

An Amazing Level One Makaton Workshop
Tash is a phenomenal makaton tutor, I've followed her on TikTok for a while now and supported her and her son's journey. She's helped me so much and made the course enjoyable. I was the youngest on my level one workshop and she was so accepting and patient. I can't wait to do all of my other levels two, three and four.

Tasha is amazing!
Tasha is amazing!! I am a grandma to Bertie who has down syndrome, Tasha is a great tutor of Makaton for all ages, she interact really well with the mothers and babies and makes it a fun and relaxed class , she’s really good at what she does and would recommend her to anyone 👍

Natasha was superb
Natasha was superb. Right from the beginning, and even before the session began she was helpful, welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable of the subject matter.

I can't praise Tash enough! She's an amazing, enthusiastic teacher who has the patience of a saint! I'm 65 yrs young so don't pick things up as quickly as I did but I never feel inferior to anyone else because Tash reviews everything we do so that us young uns can pick it up more easily! We have a fantastic group and I'm thoroughly enjoying learning this new, vital skill so that, as he grows, my little grandson will be able to communicate wholly with his family!
