Finished a fantastic Level course. I am dyspraxic and find multitasking (thinking and doing simultaneously) very difficult, but this was a very gentle and easy introduction into Makaton. I feel able to communicate with my many non-verbal students now and can't wait to have them begin to feel more at peace from being able to communicate with us!

Tasha was great! The lesson was good and easy to understand. She was patient and supportive throughout the course.
She didn’t put anyone on the spot if she/ he made a mistake, instead she would encourage everyone to do the sign again together, which would make you feel less pressure and feel ok if you did a mistake!

I started my Makaton journey believing that Level 1 would be enough for me, but here I am today, ready to sign up for Level 4—and that is entirely down to our incredible tutor, Tasha. She believes in you even when you don’t believe in yourself and gives you the confidence to keep going when doubt creeps in. She goes above and beyond to find information or signs we may need for our own personal use, and that speaks volumes about the kind of person she is. Tasha doesn’t just teach Makaton—she genuinely cares, and that makes all the difference.

tasha is a very good teacher she made me feel at ease with everything she was very helpful in guiding/prompting you through the course if you was'nt quite sure of some of the course she made it fun aswell i was at ease making some mistakes and it was good being paired up with strangers to work on a task i feel quite confident that i will understand the basic makaton signs as i was absolutley petrified of doing the course at the thought of strangers seeing me make a fool of myself but it was not like that at all everyone was very friendly and the time went really quickly i would highly recommend anyone who wants to learn makaton to do this course with tasha

Natasha was a great teacher. The session included lots of practical activities and she gave clear and specific feedback throughout. I felt very comfortable to give things a go and make mistakes.

Tasha is a wonderful teacher! You can see the passion she has for Makaton, for children, and for overall just inclusivity of everyone. She brings a lot of knowledge, experience and care into the lesson. She made me feel comfortable. It was the first time I had ever attended an online workshop with strangers, and I will be honest, I was nervous about the idea of it. But she was very welcoming and kind, and just made the whole experience a lovely one. Definitely would recommend her to anyone thinking of learning Makaton!

I completed Level 1 Makaton training on Zoom and Natasha made me feel so included and accepted. She was so friendly and made sure that everyone understood. I learnt a lot and will deffo be booking level 2 in the new year.

From the moment I arrived at the workshop, it was clear that Natasha was someone special. She greeted everyone with genuine warmth and friendliness, instantly putting the whole group at ease. There was no awkwardness, no pressure, no sense of being rushed — just a calm, welcoming atmosphere that she created effortlessly. It’s rare to meet someone who can make a room feel comfortable so quickly, but Natasha has that gift, and it made a huge difference to the experience.

Throughout the entire workshop, Natasha demonstrated not only her skill as a tutor but also her kindness, patience and passion for teaching. She explained each concept clearly and took her time to make sure everyone understood before moving on. What stood out the most was the way she balanced being informative with being approachable. It never felt like she was lecturing us; instead, she guided us through the learning in a way that felt supportive and encouraging. Whenever someone needed extra help, she gave it without hesitation and without making anyone feel self-conscious.

Her teaching style was engaging, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable. Natasha used clear examples, practical demonstrations, and gentle humour to keep the workshop interesting from start to finish. Even when covering more challenging parts of the training, she managed to make everything feel manageable and positive. It’s easy to lose confidence when learning something new, but with Natasha, it was the complete opposite — she created an environment where we all felt capable and motivated.

Another thing that really stood out was her passion for Makaton and her belief in the importance of inclusive communication. You could hear it in the way she spoke, see it in the way she interacted with us, and feel it in the patience she showed throughout the workshop. That passion was infectious. By the end of the session, not only had we learned new skills, but we also understood the deeper value of what we were learning. She didn’t just teach the content — she helped us connect with it.

I left the workshop feeling genuinely inspired. Natasha helped me build confidence I didn’t even realise I needed. She made sure I felt comfortable asking questions, she celebrated our progress, and she always stayed positive, even when we doubted ourselves. Those small moments of encouragement had a big impact, and I’m incredibly grateful for them.

Overall, Natasha is not just a friendly tutor — she is a truly exceptional one. Her kindness, professionalism, and natural ability to teach made this workshop one of the most enjoyable and meaningful training experiences I’ve had. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering this course, and I feel very lucky to have learned from her.

Tasha was very experienced and made me feel very relaxed with encouragement and praise.

Great experience and amazing tutor! I have learned so much and will definitely be uniting this at school to help the children!

I wanted to learn some makaton due to working in a nursery, one of my key children who is 3 has downs syndrome and communicates solely using makaton. She tries to communicate and I have no idea what she was trying to say so I wanted to do a makaton training.

I can confidently say after this training from Tasha I am now going to be able to understand what my key child is trying to communicate and I can communicate back to her in makaton which is amazing.

My confidence in using makaton was at 0 before this course, and its now a 10!! Tasha delivered the course in such a brilliant, fun, interesting and interactive way, praising encouraging and supporting us when needed. I attended a level 1 Makaton course with Tash, she is an amazing tutor with tons of knowledge. I have used the signs continually with my son and will definitely be signing up to a level 2 course. I was nervous about attending but Tash made me feel at ease right away and has really raised my confidence using signs.
