I paid off my title loan but they want to repo my car
I paid off my title loan and actually overpaid due to bad quote on amount still due. I sent a complete 2-page summary of monthly interest rate amounts plus regular payments. I clearly showed that the loan was paid, and they are still insisting that I owe over $500.
When I try to talk to anyone, even at the corporate office, I am often hung up on. The issue was passed around and then it was decided that the correct math I submitted was not right, but no one wants to tell me what was wrong. I have been going round and round with them. They still call to tell me my loan is overdue and each time I tell them it is paid off. The notes they promise to add to my file, never get added. My conversations are often not recorded in the record at all. Now I am receiving notice that they want to repo my car. They owe me $249 and my title. VERY bad service and I need to join a class action suit against this company for the way they handle loans and the outrageous interest rates. This has been going on since April 2026.
6/22 I have reached out to that number many times. I am promised that the matter will be looked into or they hang up on me. Why would I continue to be abused by this company and call again. If TitleMax wants to send a detailed counter payments proof with money still owed, that would be helpful. Just telling me I still owe money, and no proof does not cut it.
