I had a fire hazard with a lamp in my home. Eric, a Ting member was monitoring my home and discovered that there was arcing occurring during specific hours of the day. He isolated the pattern and then alerted me. I felt very protected by the Ting sensor, service, and Ting team! The Ting sensor is provided to me by my State Farm insurance company at no charge to me. I let the State Farm team know about the potential fire hazard and Ting's ability to prevent a fire immediately!

One of my surge protectors was getting too hot. I received emails and phone calls concerning this issue. I do not remember the name of the lady that helped me but she was extremely nice and very helpful, we figured out the issue quickly and got rid of the problem

A fire hazard in one of the rooms in the basement. I heard about from the Ting team and it was resolved because when we found out where the problem was, I could turn off the breaker to that room permanently. I don’t use that room any longer so I don’t need it on.

Ting was provided to us by State Farm. We were in Belfast when I got notices of a hazard detection. Ting worked with my neighbor to try resolving it. When we returned, I followed Ting guidance and found the problem. I may have to determine whether the issue was a surge protector or the wall outlet it was plugged into. The interaction with Ting was far above expectations.

I received our Ting monitor several months ago courtesy of State Farm. Recently I received an alert on my phone that Ting found an issue that required immediate remediation. After uploading a few pictures I initiated a chat session with Rob. Based on the time of day the issue was detected we were able to eliminate lights and devices until we determined that a power strip for our TV and stereo was the culprit. After replacing the power strip with a new one Rob and Ting continued to monitor to ensure there were no more issues.

I got a text and an email notifying me that a fire hazard was detected in my house. Soon after I got a call too, to get some preliminary information. The next day was another call with an extensive exploration of all possible causes for the alert. It was found, removed, and then watched for several days to ensure all was well. I would have never known or even guessed I'd had a problem - probably until too late. The rep was friendly, understanding, helpful and determined. The communication was exceptional.

I was having a lot of brownouts at my house. I was contacted and they helped me troubleshoot. They quickly got an electrician and help find the source. All of the interactions were amazing and they paid the electrical company super fast. We have this through our Farm Bureau Insurance and I’m beyond thankful they helped keep my family and home safe.

To start I have to say I was kind of skeptical of this Ting thing wasn’t sure I’d ever need it. Our home is only 5 yrs old. Until Ting contacted me I was unaware of a problem. They were tenacious at identifying the problem. After several different attempts to narrow the problem down it became necessary to contact an electrician. Ting took care of all that. They have a network of company’s to handle issues. John from Archer Electric came by within a couple days. We recreated a couple tests again then John noticed a discolored neutral wire at the arc fault breaker in question. It was determined that replacing the breaker would be the best practice under the circumstances. The breaker was replaced and Ting monitored my system for several more days to ensure the fix was permanent. It was thankfully. So I’d like to thank Ting and John for a job well done. I'd have to say I’m now a believer.

I received a notification on my phone of a fire hazard and what I needed to do. It was little confusing being asked to send a bunch of pictures. I sent what I could figure out and called the number. Right away they knew that the problem was in something hooked to a timer that came on at 8:40 pm and went off in the morning. Right away I knew it was my outside lights along the driveway. They held on the phone while I shut the lights on and off. Even with the timer in the off position the tech saw arcing. The only way it would stop is if I shut the breaker in the garage sub panel off. So I left it off until we could find the exact problem. Then noticed the top of one of the light was broke and water had been getting into the fixture. Replaced fixture. Ting monitored for 24 hours and then let me know that every thing looked good and there was no more arcing. I was VERY impressed with the whole procedure and how knowledgeable the people on the phone were. I received the Ting thru my State Farm home owners plan for free. And I can see why. It very likely saved my whole garage from going up in flames. Would def recommend.

I forgot I have this valuable tool. It was provided by my insurance company and is invaluable. I received a call from Ting but did not get to phone in time. I then was looking at my email and saw one from Ting. I opened it, and it said I was having electrical problem. I called Ting right away. The lady I spoke with was very cordial, Nandini. She helped locate the problem, and we will be replacing the fixture this weekend. It was a great experience and was unexpected, as I didn't know there was a problem in that fixture. There was arcing in my wall. I learned about it from Ting - emails, texts and I think there was a phone call as well. I thought I knew what the problem was. The Ting agent had me unplug the light I thought was the problem and they watched to see if it stopped or continued. They kept in touch for several days until it was obvious that the problem had stopped. I was happy that a problem was recognized and solved before any damage was done. Ting was provided by my insurance company.

We had an arcing event happening and we tracked it to a couple sources, both of which happened to be great value led bulbs that were reaching the end of life and were flickering and causing some electrical disruptions. My whole team all worked with me to resolve this. M&Z you did a great job. C, you've got good people working with you

I received a message about a detected fire hazard at my house. Called the phone number provided. Once I was back home Ting walked me through various steps to pinpoint the trouble. Ting arranged for an electrician to come out to my house to locate and fix the problem. Ting continued to monitor the situation and requested that I call out my service provider to check my lines and run tests. Ting was there assisting and monitoring every step until the problem was resolved. My Ting Monitor is provided to through State Farm Insurance. It provides an invaluable sense of comfort knowing my house is constantly being monitored.

The hazard was apparently a damaged neutral line coming to the house. Ting sent an email and a text that there was a hazard and we should contact the electric supplier and tell them that this is an emergency. I called them right away and they were here within a couple of hours. When I told them what Ting said they were skeptical. "We'll look but if we don't find anything, you should probably get an electrician." After doing their testing they found that, indeed, the neutral feed was at fault. They said they've seen worse but there's no doubt that this needs repairing. I asked and they hadn't ever heard of Ting. There's no way that we would have known that there was anything wrong with the feed. Ting found it. Ting's sensitivity was great. I don't know if, in fact, it was an emergency that could have caused a fire. I'll take Ting's word for that. But this wasn't just Ting promoting itself. There was a problem, Ting found it, and it got fixed. I am telling everyone I know about this product and this service.

We had no idea the squirrels had chewed through our ground wire outside and we were getting dangerously high voltage into our home, potentially causing a fire. For some reason, my iPhone off-loaded the app so I didn't get the notifications, but Ting persisted, and sent me both emails and texts. The text is what did the trick, and brought the issue to my attention. Very pleased State Farm provided our Ting, but I'd have gladly paid for it knowing what I know now!

My sister called to tell me that my mom's TV was not working. I realized when I got home from work that I had no electric in two rooms. Shortly after, I received a call from the Ting Fire safety team. Nick was great. Walked me through things to check, who to call to have further evaluation completed, was available when I had questions and called back the next day and the day after that to check on things. It was nice to have a kind voice on the other end of the line helping out with directions and support. Thank you Ting.

My "Hazard" was that our home's main electrical panel decided to give up after 30 years of service. It was cutting out, then surging... over and over again. About the time this was happening I received a message via a text that you noted a problem and that it was serious. This was in the evening. Called my electrician who came out early the next morning. Sure enough the electrical panel needed to be replaced asap which he did that day. Glad Ting was on top of this situation and notified us. All of this could have been much worse. Thanks

The hazard was the pressure switch on my irrigation pump, the pump quit working and upon inspection I saw that the pressure switch was indeed fried, burnt up from shorting out. With the help of the Ting team, especially Roberto, we were able to find the circuit that had the problem. After buying a new pressure switch and installing it, everything started working perfect. No more notices showed up on the Ting monitor and the pump working we are all good. Thank you Ting team.
