Rang this organisation regarding our timeshare. Spoke to a gentleman called Jeff. He was extremely knowledgeable and polite and patient, and gave thorough advise on how to exit these illegal timeshare contracts, which are such a burden to people, especially people of older age
TCA was very helpful
I contacted the TCA through their website support agent requesting that someone contacted me to discuss a concern we had about a timeshare we previously had. Jeff called back within the times requested and was very helpful, answering all our questions.

What if you have already sold your timeshares?
While having privately sold my timeshare holdings in MVCI several years ago I was continually being plagued by cold callers trying to recover monies from Marriott on my behalf. I always ignored such calls until a couple of weeks ago when I was approached by an extremely plausible gentleman who assured me that I had a genuine claim for illegal mis-selling and that the earlier disposal of my holdings was absolutely no bar to such a claim.
Although I was pretty certain of the advisor’s bona fides I nevertheless had nagging doubts and sought a second opinion from TCA last week. Jeff Macklin of TCA called me very speedily and, following an extremely knowledgeable and detailed discussion, organised a Zoom meeting with an ECC senior advisor, based at their Malaga office, who specialised in Marriott timeshares. When the meeting took place yesterday the advisor had already consulted a member of M1 Legal, who handle all legal work for EEC in Spain, and confirmed my suspicions that the Spanish Courts wouldn’t entertain any claim from me as my name no longer appeared on the relevant deeds.
I am extremely grateful to Jeff and TCA, as well as ECC, who were all exceptionally helpful thus preventing me from pursuing an invalid claim saving me a lot of time as well as the upfront costs requested.

I got a couple of phone-calls some 11 years after getting rid of my timeshare claiming that I hadnt really got rid of it because I didnt have this type of bill of sale from McDonalds Resort. Threatened with a CCJ if I didnt engage with them . The number they were using was connected to a company selling solar panels which on a Google Search was showing to be scam.
I couldn't lay my hands on the paperwork although I had emails saying the sale was being finalised and I wasnt going to be the owner
Spoke to Time Share Association Jeff who was brilliant explained the options and said he would arrange a call from ECC who duly rung on this Friday promptly at 10. Basically got great advice from Jeff and ECC. I wasnt worried because I knew that if there had been any issues then I would had been chased up for Fees which I hadnt !! but wanted some advice from people who deal with these types on a daily basis
Received a third call which I answered without looking because I was waiting for a plumber to ring and spoke to a third person who was chasing up mis selling of Macdonalds time shares !!
Jeff was superb at Timeshare Consumer with his time and knowledge .

TCA enabled me to save losing nearly £6K to scammers by providing much helpful detail concerning the people I was dealing with. TCA are a well organised and very helpful group who have undertaken, at no cost, to do checks that confirmed my worst fears that I was being cleverly deceived by ruthless people who care not who they hurt with their criminal enterprises. I am most grateful to TCA for there timely assistance.

Monster court claim scam
The review that was posted about the monster timeshare scan saved me a lot of aggro as I was being pressured by David Hutchinson for money. I told him it was a scam and he got very upset. This gave me the info I needed to support my claim. Thank you so much

Help on clearance of Timeshare
Since 2017 I have used numerous firms to get my timeshare contract cancelled and hopefully some compensation. All firms have proved to be scams. Now in process of trying to recover via Section 75. Have used TCA numerous time in researching for possible scam firms.
Finally today spoke TCA who confirmed that the Transfer document I had received direct from the resort was all I needed and there was nothing else requiring action ie payment of outstanding maintenance fees, legal documents issued by a court as all the "scam" firms had suggested I needed.
Tank you TCA for the true information and clearance of my long term worry. Moral -speak to TCA before paying out any money on timeshare termination.

TCA saved me from €6000 scam
Having been telephoned by many people offering to get money back from miss sold timeshares I accepted one from a Barcelona solicitors that said a court claim was in progress against Petchey Leisure/ MGM Muthu on a no win no pay basis. Emails followed with a variety of forms that all looked very promising and eventually gave a court settlement for a substantial amount. The catch was that the solicitors claimed that tax needed to be paid to court before release of the settlement directly to the claimant and required c. €6000 and provided details of a holding account to enable this. Backed by several convincing telephone calls and emails I as ready to make payment but, at the last moment, decided to get my son-in-law to do a check on the internet to ensure there was no hint of a scam. Within a few minutes he came up with an article from TCA of a scam virtually identical to what I was just about to do! I did not make the payment so TCA saved me that €6000! I have since been in contact with Keith and he was able to show me the many flaws in the paperwork I was provided with from the scammer. All I can say is thank you TCA! They are first class and doing a great job. The message to all is don't enter into any commitment to pay up front money with anyone claiming to help you get a timeshare refund etc. without first getting TCA to check them out.

Advice on scam to sell timeshare
I contacted this company to find out if a timeshare company that promised to help my parents get rid of their timeshare were trustworthy or not.
They did some research into this and helped confirm my suspicions they were not!
They looks into the company house records and presence on the internet (or not as it turned out) and helped me avoid a scam for sure. Thank you.

Do not use either of these company’s.
If you want to terminate your timeshare you can request a contract termination direct.
We sent a letter recorded delivery and have had confirmation that our agreement has been surrendered with no further obligations.
Don’t waste more money, it cost us £6.50 with Royal Mail and we did not pay our 2021 Maintenance Fees.
