Student Review
Writing this review as a student who used Time4Learning since early 2021 and am now moving on to Graduation Alliance instead. I've been using T4L as a way to self-educate as the traditional classroom setting didn't work well for me. Considering the fact I was in control of my own education, I wasn't aware of the importance of accreditation! If your high school child is serious about pursuing a higher education, please point them to another program that is actually accredited and will offer more services to prepare them for college. In addition, T4L updated their courseware from Edgenuity to Subject.com, and I honestly preferred Edgenuity far better. Subject.com seems to implement more AI into their material, and when it comes to educational courses I feel AI shouldn't be heavily incorporated especially for a paid subscription. Lastly, I don't know whether any of the assignments are graded by real people. Not being able to receive valuable feedback from an educator made me feel as if I wasn't growing academically. Parents, please do the research and find a dependable program that will ensure your child's future success.
If I could do 0 stars, I would...
I am a homeschooling mom of multiple kids and like most of us, I am constantly trying to find what works best for my children. Homeschooling is not one size fits all. We try things, we pivot, we adjust. That is literally the entire point.
I chose to pay for the annual membership upfront because it was cheaper per child. As a family on a budget, I thought I was making the responsible choice.
Within three days, I knew this curriculum was not going to work for my kids. My kindergartener was expected to read instructions independently, which is not developmentally appropriate. My second and fourth graders were confused navigating the program and didn’t know when they were finished for the day. It felt overwhelming and frustrating instead of helpful.
So I did what any reasonable homeschool parent would do. I reached out immediately.
Not only did they refuse to refund a single dollar, they offered me more time and account credit for a curriculum I had already clearly said does not work for my family. That makes absolutely no sense.
I was also told canceling would only stop auto renewal, but then my account showed cancellation notices and warnings about my children’s progress and reports being deleted. The entire experience has been confusing, inconsistent, and honestly really disappointing.
Eight hundred dollars is not a small amount of money for a homeschooling family. We are not out here wasting money for fun. We are trying to invest in our kids’ education and do the best we can with what we have.
If something is not a good fit within a few days, there should be some level of understanding or flexibility. Instead, it felt like once they had my money, that was it.
If you are considering this program, just be absolutely sure it will work for your family before committing, because if it doesn’t, you will not get your money back.
Homeschool moms deserve better than this.

Trash.
Oh, last time I've been here it was so much better comparing it to now..
1. Takes your money randomly
2. Almost impossible to get a refund
3. Infused with ai slop everywhere, including in science activites about animals, floating deer with 10 limbs.
4. Extremely easy for children to cheat by typing "ActivityComplete()" in the console
5. New website they made a partnership was entirely written by AI and probably can be entirely hacked from a a kid learning cybersecurity in high school.
6. Copyright infringement literally everywhere, female mario, weird ai link and zelda, and taking stock images without paying and putting them in places that don't make sense.

Deleting reports while I am a member
I have been with that program for five years. I called them because you used to be able to pause or put an account on hold for the summer, but I was told you couldn't anymore. They wanted us to pay the full amount through the summer, and while we were trying to get a new debit card, we missed one payment. It turns out they deleted all my childrens' reports for the past five years. Now I cannot do transcripts for my oldest. I was told when I signed on that they save those always. Nowhere in their information does it say if you miss a payment they delete your reports, but they are certainly blaming me in their emails.
If I could leave a zero
If I could leave a zero, I would! Technical issues with no one willing to help resolve, schoolwork for high schools that a kindergartner could do, to not being able to get a refund because I paid in FULL!
Stay Away!
I wrote two other reviews during the time I could not get ahold of or hear back from them. I mentioned we were contesting the charges. We eventually did get ahold of the office and they denied our request for a refund. It took three times of contesting with the credit card company before we won. Keep trying if you can. I am watching closely to see if I’ll be charged in the future as many reviews have warned to watch out for that. Beware their grading is all AI and it gives false scores half the time. This was thoroughly tested and there is no way to accurately know how your student is doing. If your student is getting consistent 100 percents or consistent 50 percents it means nothing. Try the testing and see if you can get any kind of consistent scoring - you won’t be an able to because it’s all over the place. There is NO answer key for the parents - even though they advertise it - an answer key does not exist. What you get is a note saying to refer to grader feedback. This is unacceptable in every subject but particularly in Math! The grader feedback is ai and half the time a jumble of vague nonsense. The only way this could possibly work with AI is to have zero subjective answers and a direct answer key for the parents. They wouldn’t be able to offer writing and would have to tell their customers to supplement for writing, but at least that way they could offer what they advertise.
Be careful before you give them any funds.
Be careful. Company website is misleading. If you give your money - no one will assist and you receive pre written responses back referring you to their fine print terms of service. Once the fineprint is highlighted - its true it says no refunds on certain subscriptions - however they clearly try to mislead parents just looking to find the right curriculums for their children - they could easily note that no refund policy where they advertise the "14 day guarantee."
I attempted to cancel because their material/ videos and software is outdated ( looks like it was made like pre 2015), there is no cohesion in their curriculum plans ( meaning when you try to plan tomorrow's lesson for different subjects- the parent needs to put everything together from different sources) unlike other curriculums where you click on tomorrow's lesson and it has the whole lesson planned - with all related pdfs/teaching plans and answer keys sectioned off and 1 click away for the particular lesson.
Time4learning website advertises a 14 day guarantee on their product. When you click on annual membership - it does not say anywhere on
the purchase page the annual membership is not included in their guarantee. Instead it shows the 14 day guarantee then brings you to their cart purchase page - where it still does not make that clear. It is buried in their terms page and therefore it is deceptive as a consumer cannot easily and clearly tell that the 14 day satisfaction guarantee is available for someone who purchases a monthly plan but not for someone who purchases a yearly plan.
If a refund is offered for the monthly and not the annual- it should be clearly stated on the main purchase page- not hidden in terms of service or tucked at the bottom of webpages- that is the definition of deceptive.
The business is hoping people purchase the annual subscription, trial the program and then when they attempt to cancel Time4learning hits them with the following email
" Thank you for contacting us, we're happy to help.
Per our Terms of Service agreed to upon sign-up, there are no refunds on annual membership purchases. We've made sure that your account will not auto-renew, and you'll have full access to the curriculum and all the site's benefits until your annual plan expires on xxxx"
How many customers have they scammed out of hundred of dollars??
Charged me without notifying me and won't refund
Time4Learning charged me $288 for an annual subscription without my knowledge and without appropriately notifying me. But they did notify me the day they took the money out of my account. But why not the day before so I could cancel? And they say they don't refund yearly subscriptions. Shady, unethical business practices.
Time4learning is bad.
it does not teach me. it wastes my time. i would rather pefer ixl and it charges my mom ALOT just for this to happen. Would you like robots making fun of you when you get one answer wrong? and there is a reason why i got it wrong. Would NOT reccomend.
Fyi for other families...
Fyi for other families...
TIME 4 LEARNING charges a renewal thats approx $250 for a year. They don't send you any notice before or after payment and refuse to reimburse you if you want to discontinue their program.
In my mind they are no better than a SCAM.
Hope this warning helps others.
We will never use it again.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Refused to give a refund. Multiple ads state money back guarantee. None of the ads give stipulations. Paid for the whole year. After 2 days of use, realized it wasn’t for us. No customer service to ask for help so requested a refund to no avail. Finally after not response to our email we called and waited on hold for more than an hour to be told we should have read the fine print and realized we wouldn’t get a refund because we paid for the whole year. What kind of company doesn’t care about their students enough to give their money back so they can explore better options? Currently disputing with my credit card company. We went with Miacademy instead - so much better. Do not use time 4 learning! Submit a review to the BBB if you already have and had an experience like ours!
DO NOT RECOMMEND
My little brother and I have been using Time4Learning, and the biggest problem is the poor reports. First my older brother and younger brother and I have been getting hit in the face because the reports. When I do a freaking hour it says I did 1 minute for every subjects too. Also, I did a test and when it said I got 90% on the test, the next day it's 50%.
A LOT of bugs do not use
I have been using T4L for 3 months and it never ever tracks like when I do all my work it never tracks this app is very bad I do not recommend this app for anyone and my brother got questions that he never learned
Buyer's Remorse does not apply to T4L
On October 31st, I made an online purchase of an educational program, T4L, for my two children. Before finalizing my purchase, I carefully reviewed the cancellation policy and bylaws associated with the service, which clearly stated that I had the right to cancel my subscription at any time without penalty. In an effort to save money, I opted to pay the full annual fee of $563.33 instead of the month-to-month rate of $84. Later that same day, my husband and I conversed with a group of fellow homeschooling parents. During our discussions, we discovered an alternative program that offered similar features to T4L but at no cost. After thoughtful deliberation and consideration of the pros and cons of both programs, we reached a decision on Monday, November 3rd, to cancel our subscription with T4L in favor of the free program. Following the cancellation instructions provided on the T4L website, I proceeded to cancel my account online and also sent an email to their support team confirming the cancellation. I noted that my account was promptly deactivated, but to my dismay, the funds I had paid were not refunded. Seeking clarification, I called T4L's customer service and was informed that because I had opted for the annual payment, I was entitled to maintain access to the service for the remainder of the year and that no refunds would be issued. They explained that my cancellation indicated that I would not have access to the program for the subsequent year, but they did not address my concern regarding access to services for which I had already paid. I expressed my confusion, questioning why I could not utilize a service I had paid for, given that my account had been cancelled
DISAPPOINTED! A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!
I had been using T4L for 3 years for my child. However, this year they changed the platform and it's been a complete nightmare. The instructional videos are only between 3 to 7 mins, with an occasional 12-14 minute video. They ask questions of the students without adequate teaching. When the student scores 100% on an assignment, parents cannot see the work that the child submitted. When sending messages to customer service about this, they take a long time to email a response and when the response finally comes it is a tone deaf response that doesn't address my issue. They kept telling me repeatedly I can click on "Review and Retake" on the assignments/quizzes and I can see my child's work. However, that is only true on assignments where my child scored less than 100%. For all of the assignments where my child scored 100%, the work does not show. I have no way to print essays, assignments and quizzes where my child scored 100%. The parent portal is useless and the reports are inaccurate. There was an assignment where my child refused to answer a certain question, with my permission because of a religious objection and the grader marked the question wrong and wrote a message for my child to answer the question. It's ridiculous and absurd how T4L has attempted to strip the parents control over their own child's education. The previous setup allowed parents to grade their children's essays, now T4L have inserted themselves in grading the student's essays. Hiding a student's submitted writings and hard work is not acceptable, neither is prohibiting parents from accessing all of their child's work. I'm looking for a replacement curriculum right now. T4L's current platform is a huge disappointment. They should've kept the program they way it was.
Time4Learing a Homeschool Nightmare
Time4Learing was a great program for our kids several years until this year. This year they went AI based and it's absurd. We'll be switching next year unless the bugs are worked out. I would recommend all parents looking into Homeschooling stay away from Time4Learning until they get their program fixed. Our parent login is almost useless. The reports are inaccurate, you can't see a snapshot of all their grades like last year, the grading is questionable with AI, and the parents cannot make any changes or see what their kids answers were. Time4Learning is failing this year, and no one should reward them by signing up until they get this mess fixed.
Charged for 11 months after cancelling
I cancelled last year and they continued to charge me $43 a month. I have been dealing with a family emergency and not checking my credit card statement monthly... I called, they acknowledged my son had not logged in since Nov 3 of last year (it's October 20) and refuse to give a refund or even a partial refund. The curriculum is terrible! The service is worse! Avoid this like the plague and spread the word that it's a scam!!!
Customer service is poor
Customer service is poor, with slow or no responses and billing issues such as charging after cancellation. Price increases have occurred without corresponding improvements, and the program no longer offers flexibility like putting accounts on hold. Overall, it is a frustrating experience that does not live up to expectations and feels like a waste of money.
Unreliable platform for student records
Unreliable for student records. Choose a more responsible platform for your homeschool student. This company deletes student information at the end of your billing cycle so if your student is out of school for a 2-month summer, when you return to the Time4Learning platform, expect grades and data to be gone...as if families didn't subscribe to the Time4Learning to be a reliable source for their student records. Poor customer service and lots of unaccountability for a mediocre program. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more each month for a peace of mind with an ethical company. Too many reviews about poor records management with the Time4Learning platform. Beware.
