We can see our statements,maintenance and financial records at a glance on TG web site which makes it easy to keep up to date with the running of the property
The staff that I have contact with are very helpful and extremely experienced
Any problem with a maintenance issue Lucy is always on top of the situation and makes sure the problem is solved to both mine and the tenants satisfaction
Kevin has just let one of the properties for us in very quick time.When the property became empty he gave us advice on what was needed also photographs of things that warranted attention ect and with his advice and working with Lucy the jobs were completed to our satisfaction
The Team is run by Amber who is a very professional leader who oversees the whole process .
All in all a very successful team

My move-in experience has been disappointing. I may update this review depending on how the outstanding issues are handled.

During the initial viewing, there was a delay in meeting the agent. I spent approximately 15 minutes trying to contact the office for directions and an update, but I was unable to get through by phone. I eventually received help locating the appropriate entrance. The parking space and access arrangements were not clearly shown to me during the viewing. Overall, I liked the property so I went ahead with an application.

After paying the deposit, I asked whether a brief second viewing was possible so I could familiarise myself with the entrance, parking and layout etc. I understand that a second viewing may not have been possible during a busy period, but I found some of the follow-up communication defensive, highly unprofessional and unhelpful.

On the tenancy start date, key collection was delayed because the inventory was incomplete. No estimated time for key release could initially be provided.

After receiving the keys, I identified several issues and reported them with photographs, including mould on the bathroom ceiling, water at the bottom of the dishwasher, dirty walls, stained carpet, and holes apparently left by previous occupants. Furniture and mattresses were also present that I was not aware of.

I am currently waiting for a response about the repairs and my formal complaint.

I hope the issues are resolved quickly. Based on my experience so far, I would choose another estate agent.

My complaint is yet to be formally responded to, progress on the repairs has been very slow, an additional issue has occurred in regards to parking (issued a PCN despite parking in my allocated space), and I did contact Thornley Groves directly prior to writing this review despite their response on Google. Unfortunately I will not be choosing this estate agent in the future due to the poor communication and handover process. I would encourage friends and family to avoid them.

Friendly Customer services

Manage our let property now for a number of years. Always very prompt and professional. Recently Grace Edmundson has taken over our property management and has been very good.

Great service - the viewing was arranged quickly. Elli Milnthorpe showed us around and was really understanding when I arrived late after being stuck in traffic. We had lots of time to look around the property and she was very responsive about get in touch with the vendors with follow-up questions.

She was very nice and understanding also answered all my questions with good replies I appreciate her tour of the properties

Thornley Groves have been looking after my properties for more than 20 years now and in all that time I have been more than happy with the service they provide. Recently I needed new tenants and Amber Gelling and Karen Filson looked after everything from meeting prospective tenants to updating paperwork .

We recently started a tenancy, that managed by Thornley Groves. During the new moved in, the property has some minor defects. But after reported, the staff and property relationship manager was quick response and handling with professional action, the issues were satisfied finished and I am happy with the service provided. I have used Thornley Groves Monton on my last 2 property sales, each time they have been excellent to deal with, honest and deliver on exactly what they say they will. This time round I dealt with Kelly McDermott, Clare carpenter, Daniel coope and Ellie Milnthorp and they were all brilliant, very responsive. I wouldn’t use anybody else locally for property sales and would highly recommend them to others in Monton.

Please find alternative estate agents.
They don’t care about tenants. They take ages to get things fixed during the tenancy and then charge you £380 for an end of tenancy clean when you left it clean. When trying to communicate with them they are slow and don’t listen to you. I dont often leave bad reviews but I wouldn’t wish them as estate agents for you reading this.

To follow up their complaints team never got back to me!
