Very thorough guidebook, written clearly with good visuals. I feel comfortable using this as my sole resource for my upcoming trip to Pokhara this year.

Wonderful, up to the minute guidebook for Nepal with so many useful tips and resources. Very in depth, including your own walking tours with tons of great info on what you're seeing! Author clearly has a passion for Nepal and that approach shows through

Where should I start?
David is awesome, his book is the greatest help, his personal commitment is great. After reading numerous travel guides in German, I came across his book this year, shortly before my third visit to Nepal. And it opened up completely new perspectives for me: The books I had read before were great. But David gets to the point. The structure, the language,... Everything perfect.
His deep affection for the country and its inhabitants is outstanding. His tips and hints are so clear, comprehensible and practice-oriented that it would have been easy to put together a tour on my own with his help. For various reasons, I deviated from this and accepted his offer to find a guide. And here it turned out that he can not only put beautiful words on paper!. He was also in the preparation or mediation of the tour as in the book. :-)
And very quickly in his answers.

Best guidebook I have ever had, and I had a lot! The author sure knows about Nepal! It's interactive, updated and easy to use. And there is tons of useful informations to make sure you make to most of your travel!

I like this guide better than Lonely Planet! It's definitely written by someone who not only understands Nepal and its culture, but also by someone who understands the tourist and what s/he needs to know. Highly recommended.
