We purchased a house recently and want Vinyl Flooring for it. Despite the fact that the property has been beautifully renovated, we would like to make a few alterations to the flooring. My wife is a fantastic interior designer who chose Vinyl Flooring. That was our first time using their services. This is the second time I've used their services for flooring in our new office. Both times they turned out to be spectacular.

Horrific experience
Very bad experience with The Flooring Group, could not have been worse, 100% dissatisfied!
The guy was very friendly when he came to give a quote, made several promises that he later denied, even calling me a liar. I feel it was right to point out that he lied to get the job. Convinced me we wouldn't need something that others said we would need, which made them cheaper. As soon as they arrived, decided we did need this thing after all, thus their price was more expensive. Treated like enemies from then on. Also said it would take 3 days; after more than 3 weeks we were still without our kitchen and dining room with them still trying to make us pay for yet more work to put right their mistakes, at which stage we parted company. They charged us over £700 to take back their materials which were still here because they couldn't do the job. We agreed just to get rid of them. Made us pay for their utter lack of professionalism and ineptitude. Lied, bullied and held us to ransom. Be warned, giving us what we paid for was not their priority and I believe beyond them. Used a minor problem that we encountered and was fixed in a day as an excuse for what they had already done wrong.
The day after they left another company came in, finished the job in a week with an openness which was lacking with The Flooring Group and restored all the guarantees retracted by them (how can they say we can't have the manufacturers guarantee?), for a much more reasonable cost with no issues whatsoever.
Was taken aback at how easily they lied for one another and how vindictive the main guy was. Our experience is that they are completely dishonest. Terrible company, horrific experience.

Trustpilot is a great resource for anyone looking to make informed decisions about who to employ to carry out their installations.
It is never easy to let a customer know that an installation will cost more than initially planned due to unforeseen circumstances upon removal of the old floor coverings. When it does happen on the rare occasion we do try to keep the additional works at cost rates to help as much as we can. The easy way out for a “cowboy” installer would be to ignore all of the issues, lay the floor, and take the payment only for the flooring to fail soon after.
On this occasion we feel that the customer was unusually hostile and unable to communicate with us to find a way to install the flooring to the proper standards, therefore we terminated the transaction, recovered our materials and agreed a settlement price for the works carried out.
The below constitutes a statement of fact:
We were asked to survey a basement floor in the building used as a kitchen.
Upon enquiry, we were told that the basement floor was sound and had not suffered with any damp issues.
We did advise that if the base slab did show signs of moisture, a DPM would be necessary.
We were told that the previous contractor had not mixed the latex correctly which was why there were issues with latex debonding.
Upon removal of the flooring it was apparent that there was a serious damp problem in the subfloor.
We then advised on a DPM which is standard practice. The customer did not want to pay for this and accused us of lying (not the other way around).
Upon application of the DPM we were accused of not mixing the DPM correctly. A pattern was emerging.
There was then a flood in the basement due to rainfall as we were about to lay our latex onto the DPM. The customer admitted that this was a regular occurrence – a detail omitted at survey.
At this point we instructed the customer to have the cause of the flooding remedied, we would return, carry out an invasive hydrometer test to make sure that there was not any other underlying issue with hydrostatic water pressure – according to British standards, Free of charge. We would then re-install the DPM which had been compromised by the flood. The customer had up to this point and for the rest of the works become hostile in the extreme, and instructed us to lay the flooring without warranty which we refused to do without carrying out due diligence for three reasons:
We at The Flooring Group want to lay quality flooring installations which we would be happy to have installed in our own properties. This is the basis of our 100% customer satisfaction guarantee.
We, nor the manufacturers of the products installed, could warranty an installation which had not followed the industry and manufacturers standards.
The customer was hostile and unable to communicate with us without the use of abusive language and frankly we did not trust the customer based on the above experience.
On this basis, we terminated the transaction, recovered our materials and agreed a settlement price for the works carried out as we could not communicate effectively with the customer.

Amazing work by them. They were professional and does extremely high quality work. We just had them install hardwood floors in our living rooms, dining and entry areas, and it looks fantastic! I do not hesitate to recommend them.

The Flooring Group has been super reliable from start to finish , they always communicated with me promptly and was happy to make suggestions and explain details of the work that need doing .
They did a great job laying my flooring, the fitters came on time and completed the job as promised,leaving the place cleaned .
I couldn't be more happy and I would not hesitate to recommend.
Difficult to find such good companies nowadays and The Flooring Group has not disappointed.

Problem sorted
I had my bedroom floor insulated for sound. Rockwool between the joists, boards screwed down and then plywood sheets screwed down over the top. I ordered acoustic underlay and a thick carpet over the top. When the fitters arrived on 24th January they had ordinary underlay so I had to wait almost 2 more weeks, until the 6th February, when they were able to return and fit the acoustic underlay and the carpet. The fitter, Guy, was fantastic and the carpet a better quality than I ordered, I sent an offcut to the manufacturer just to check. The company asked for full payment up front so I was nervous for those two weeks. In fairness, they sorted the problem and I would use them again.

Kitchen and Bathroom re-floored with excellent results!
I have just had my kitchen and bathroom re-floored by the Hampstead Flooring Company, Hampstead branch. I have nothing but praise for Selin Arabacilar who organised this. She was charming, helpful and efficient from beginning to end. Nothing was too much trouble. And Mike whom she hired to lay the flooring was also expert at his job. I had every confidence at all stages in the process that it would turn out well and I'm utterly delighted with the result.
I would 100% recommend Selin.

I am so happy with my new Amtico Flooring. Fulham & Chelsea Flooring Company have been efficient, polite and charming right from the start. Stephen & Lloyd helped me choose my flooring and they were very efficient and quick at getting back to me with all my email questions.They managed to fit the flooring on the day I needed it installed and I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs flooring.
