The CV Guru Omdömen

I have worked with Peter over this last week on my CV and can't say how happy I am with the work he has put in to it, outstanding work and totally worth it to have a professional look into your cv. The wording, to the overall look of my CV looks 10 times better than how I had it.

The reason I sought the help of The CV Guru was that I was struggling to get the tone and detail of my CV right. I'd done so many versions of it that I'd tied myself up in knots. I felt I needed to start afresh, and that having a new set of eyes on it would be of benefit.

Wendy called me at the beginning of the process (my request), and that proved really useful. She asked the right questions to tease out what I really wanted to say about myself. She then worked with what I already had, researching my role to add the detail and structure it was lacking.

I also paid for the LinkedIn profile and cover letter service. Again, Wendy did a great job in putting together my LinkedIn profile. It now looks really professional. There were also several tips on how to enhance my profile, which I appreciated, since I never really paid much attention to it previously! The cover letter was great, too.

The process took about 2 weeks. Wendy would reply and return documents within 2 working days. She was professional and helpful. I would definitely use The CV Guru again. I can't say for certain whether my new CV will create more opportunities/interviews yet, but I feel confident that it will.

Carol from the CV Gurus has tailored a CV based on my skills being transferred to a new role and I couldn’t be happier with the result . The constant flow of communication throughout the process has been excellent and the end result is CV which I know will improve my chances of a career change. Thank you again Carol

I would highly recommend working with Sean. The process was straight forward and output excellent. Provided a very quick turn around and worked flexibly around my availability for review.

Everyone was fully interactive during the creation process and they were extremely helpful with tips.

Decided to give this company a go and I can't praise them enough. I was partnered up with senior writer Sean. Great clear communication and fantastic work provided.
Many thanks.
Mark

Great service and great CV from James

thank you

Sean was absolutely Fantastic, him and the team kept me up to date and their speed of response was brilliant

James was brilliant throughout! He was very attentive at responding to emails and making sure I was 100% satisfied with his work.
I am more than delighted with the work James has produced. He has really took the time to understand my previous roles and what my employment goals are for the future. I would highly recommend him if you are thinking of updating your CV.

Fast service, great communication and excellent writing skills. Thank you to James for writing me a fantastic personal statement.

Really useful experience for helping for the application process of finding a job.

Working with The CV Guru was a game-changer for my job search. Sean Gilroy took the time to understand my career goals and created a document that genuinely highlighted my strengths. The level of detail and professionalism was outstanding. The customer service was equally impressive—responsive, friendly, and genuinely committed to helping me succeed. I also appreciated the additional LinkedIn profile service, which complemented the CV perfectly. I highly recommend The CV Guru to anyone serious about advancing their career.

Had my CV done by the Cv guru. Response was really quick and communication was great. CV was done really quickly as well. Would definitely recommend anyone to use them!

What a great experience updating my CV by James, could not have asked for better.
Thanks James and the CV Guru.

£350 Executive CV service.... No! just don't pay for this service! Having communicated via email after a poor service elsewhere, the process started and within days went wrong. After raising concerns about a very poor CV, another writer enlisted and again, the quality, the substance and the detail, was not worth paying for. Coloured headers, repetitive statements, poorly displayed. After complaining again, it was clear CV Guru were unable to offer a professional service and after much of my time being wasted and refusal to resolve my concerns, they refunded only half my money. So its cost me money, time and i wont get it back.

Its also clear they have the ability to remove reviews!!

NO MATTER ..What their cleverly worded responses is to this review, do not believe them and use another company. They are not capable of executive level CV's. Sorry but very true!!!

Excellent service. My reviewer, Wendy was obviously very experienced in my field. The content and advice was professional and very high standard. Response rate and general contact was quick. Value for money also superb. Highly recommend

A brilliant service. Quick and very helpful in explaining the requirements needed for searching for work. The way James highlighted my work experiences and showed how they can be useful in other work environments, was fantastic. Thanks for all the help

Great friendly and helpful service.
Really pleased with all Vicki’s support, especially as my CV needed quite a bit of work.
Good value for money.

James provided me with a quality up to date CV in a very acceptable timeframe. The work done was of high quality and I would definitely recommend this service to anyone looking to have a CV put together from scratch or looking to update an existing one.

I am quite happy with the outcome! Vicky produced an excellent CV, an updated LinkedIn profile, and a cover letter of very high standards. Thank you!
