The CV Guru Omdömen

As a senior-level executive, I was initially apprehensive about whether a third-party service could truly capture the depth and breadth of my experience on paper. Those concerns disappeared very quickly with The CV Guru team. From start to finish, the process was highly professional, collaborative, and reassuring.

I am admittedly grammar-obsessed. When I asked questions or made suggestions, they quickly responded with their thinking and logic and focused on the finer details. The writing quality was flawless. Special thanks to Sean, who went above and beyond to update my CV following a recent role change. His ability to distil complex responsibilities into sharp, impactful language was outstanding.

The result is a CV that not only reflects my senior-level achievements with clarity and precision but also gives me confidence in how I am positioned for future opportunities. The whole team were brilliant, and I would not hesitate to recommend The CV Guru to any professional looking to elevate their personal brand.

Jen and Lesley were prompt when I sent my initial request. James Lee promptly completed my CV and covering letter. I could not have asked for a better service. I would recommend The CV Guru to friends and family without hesitation.

Returning customer as CV GURU played a massive part in securing my current role - the quality of my CV was singled out for praise!

Really quick service, my CV was updated by Wendy who was already aware of my background and was able to not only give me a current version, but along with Jen compiled a full and comprehensive LinkedIn profile - a platform I had never used before

Work colleagues have viewed and have nothing but praise- what CV GURU did in a matter of two or three working days would have taken me a fortnight - and make the whole process very straightforward in circumstances that could have been very intimidating!

In my opinion well worth the cost to have such a professional product and excellent service - I’ll be back with no hesitation should I move on to the next chapter of my career!

Very professional service, always very prompt replies. I was delighted with my CV from James and I would highly recommend the service.

This company had been recommended by former colleagues and friends. I paid for a package and simultaneously secured a job without ever completing the detail they required. Each month CV Guru sent a gentle nudge to complete the process. When I did require the CV products at short notice James was 1st class in what he turned around, offering to tweak and alter whatever I felt was required. A very personal and professional company.

I would 100% recommend using CV Guru.

Sean was very helpful and produced a high quality CV and cover letter in a timely manner. Highly recommend!

Fast, efficient, they listen and understand your needs. and deliver when they say they will. - overall a great service

After supplying a 14 page CV template to Vicki I was promptly presented with a condensed, very well laid out CV which captures my skills and key achievements perfectly. Along with the detailed covering letter I was very pleased with the end result and definitely something I couldn’t have done myself.

I highly recommend James for his prompt and thorough assistance. James’s professionalism and reliability were evident throughout, and I truly appreciated his ability to deliver high-quality input in a short time frame.

This was my first time hiring someone to build my CV, and I can honestly say I feel relieved and happy with the result. I’d like to thank James Lee for his excellent work on my academic CV and his commitment to responding to my comments promptly. I would have given a full five stars, but I had to go through the CV myself to adjust some terminology to better fit my healthcare background. Much of the original wording felt more suited to a corporate context rather than a health setting. However, I'm still happy with the overall service.

Sean Gilroy wrote my CV, did a covering letter and also helped me with my LinkedIn.
He was really professional, kept in contact on a regular basis with the updates and nothing I asked of Sean was too much trouble.
On review, I now have a really great professional looking CV, Covering Letter and LinkedIn.
Great first experience and excellent customer service.
Thank you Sean I will definitely be returning for a further services

Thank you Sean

Really quick and exceptional quality. Definitely recommend

I would wholeheartedly recommend CV Guru to anyone looking to update CV/LinkedIn etc., the service provided by them was outstanding. Sean was perfectly matched to me in terms of personality and was excellent in providing what I was hoping to achieve. I'm hugely grateful for the progress we made and I would 100% return to Sean for further help/updates/tweaks on CV, cover letter and LinkedIn if required in the future.

Brilliant Service. Carol has done wonders with my CV and turned it into something brilliant. Would recommend to anyone

Sean at CV Guru transformed my LinkedIn profile with clear, concise achievements drawn from a well-established career. He aligned my experience with my future goals and provided easy-to-follow, copy-and-paste updates. Highly recommend for a professional refresh that truly reflects your ambitions.

It was a good experience overall - from the initial call (and subsequent calls) to the final product, I felt Wendy Ritchie listened to my requirements (having taken onboard my unusual career path and future aspirations). She imparted her experience/expertise clearly and constructively. I would recommend the CV Guru and Wendy Ritchie.

Such a simple and efficient process. Documents produced were of excellent quality and the communications with the writer were effective and timely. Thank you Vicki!

Trusted Sean to develop/refine my CV and LinkedIn profile, along with a generic cover letter, and I was very satisfied with the outcome, as the artefacts have better shone the light on my skills and experiences than I would have.

Very Impressed with the speed and quality of the work. Victoria is very meticulous in her work and made sure all the key detailed were covered. Would definitely recommend.

Sean was great throughout the entire process. He took time to understand my previous roles, achievements and experience as well as the type of future roles I was interested in. He created the first draft of my CV within a few days and made changes based on my feedback until I was completely satisfied. Sean then wrote a draft cover letter as well as detailing what I needed to do to update my LinkedIn profile, as well as providing all of the necessary information.
I also sent Sean a copy of my CV and cover letter along with a role I was keen to apply for, which he reviewed and gave me feedback on.

Would definitely recommend the CV Guru and the CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile package....value for money combined with great service.
