Skip Bourbon Central
Placed a few orders that were seamless until:
1. Received a bottle of Doc Holliday Sherry Cask bourbon and when the bottle arrived the plastic and cap slid easily off the top of the bottle. The bourbon tasted like turpentine and was thrown away. I received no response from their customer service regarding the order.
2. Ordered a bottle of Star Hill American Wheat Whiskey on June 18, 226. Confirmation for shipping with tracking on June 20. For some reason these orders do not show anything but the tracking number in my UPS app. On July 3rd it said the bottle had been delivered to a UPS store in Minnesota, I live in Arizona. I immediately requested UPS to look into it, and emailed Bourbon Central. They responded on July 5 (Sunday, right?) via email that I was able to either wait, or cancel. I replied to cancel, and had no response. On July 9 I contacted UPS who told me they never received the package. I called Bourbon Central in the morning of July 10, and spoke to a woman who said she’d call me back. When I called 30 minutes before close same day I spoke to two reps, the second said they could cancel. As of now I have NOT received a cancellation email, or refund, and will file a fraud claim after the weekend. The risk is yours ordering here, it may be great, but when it’s not it feels like a scam. Their customer service is non-existent.
