Wonderful service. Really thorough eye examination.

At a chain opticians, my wife received an incorrect contact lens prescription and was struggling with blurred vision. So 12 months ago she started going to the Eye Place. They offer an outstanding service. Alex really listens to you and is tremendously helpful. Their equipment offers unparalleled testing. I have just been for the first time and can attest to their professionalism, wisdom, advice and help. At no point did I feel rushed or coerced into making decisions. Recommended.

Despite my spectacles taking a wee bit…

Despite my spectacles taking a wee bit longer than expected, not due to The Eye Place, I was delighted with the service provided. My late wife and I had previously always used Bush - now acquired by the current owners. The interior refurbishment, the quality and range of products, the professionalism provided by the staff and just the all round very positive feeling of helpfulness and care was delightful.
I will certainly be back if my spectacle needs change and I have absolutely no hesitation in commending them unhesitatingly to anyone seeking eye products and exceptional care and service in delightful surroundings. The Reverend J.E. Marsburg

I had an eye exam at the Dore branch…

I had an eye exam at the Dore branch and problems with my eyes were made aware to me that Specsavers had missed. Definitely worth spending the money at an independent place like this, as my sight through my new glasses and lenses is fab now.

Could not have had better care

Could not have had better care. I had a problem with my eye and after a very thorough investigation from Anaa was advised I needed to go to an eye hospital. Anaa sent over letter and images to local hospital, contacted them on my behalf and made an urgent appointment for me and kept me updated throughout. Thank you so much.

Consistently Professional and Friendly

The Eye Place - Hessle repaired my glasses that had lost a screw promptly and without charge. This is consistent with high level of service offered over the last five years.

I had an eye test at The Eye Place in Belsize Park. Cost me £80 and a free eye test was just as good.

I had an eye test at The Eye Place and paid £80 for a luxury test (Most tests are £35 or free if you buy with the shop). The prescription turned out to be incorrect, as when I got my lenses back from SpecSavers in Swiss Cottage, everything was blurred. SpecSavers kindly gave me a free test, which discovered The Eye Place prescription was incorrect. The SpecSavers eye test was actually better than The Eye Place eye test, so don't waste your money. I asked for a refund from The Eye Place, or for some compensation for my losses, and they refused and were uncompromising. They didn't care that I lost a £130 by using their services. Terrible customer support, zero customer retention from me. I will never shop there again. I suggest everyone avoids this eye test.
