I filled my tax return in February…
I filled my tax return in February 2024, it is now February 2025 and I still waiting for my tax return. Every time I contact Taxback, I am told that they are trying to call a number in Quebec that doesn't work and they will try again at some point in the future. This has been going on since August 2024. I appreciate that if the number they call is broken, but maybe they should use some common sense and try to contact via email?.....

We're sorry to hear about your experience! Quebec does not accept correspondence via email - they only require phone communication. A letter has also been sent by mail, but they will not process it until we speak with them over the phone.
Unfortunately, their phone line has ongoing technical issues, as they have stated on their website. We understand how frustrating this situation is, but Quebec has not provided any alternative, so we will continue trying to reach them.

They do not do pensioner returns in Canada
After spending a fair amount of time completing all the forms and supplying personal information I get an email to say they no longer do Section 217 returns (pensions) I am a non resident Canadian citizen receiving a pension. The website offers tax filing for non resident pension recipients. Misleading advertising.

Terrible Service
Terrible Service.
Between the security Warnings, password resets, and Letters that I was getting from the Revenue, the complication involved around teams dealing with the process, i can safely say the whole ordeal was an absolute shambles. With each bit of information that I provided, there was "just one more form" that needed some sort of approval or signature to the point I nearly gave up and told them keep the money. The people dealing with the claim were fairly unhelpful too. I usually don't complain about customer service, but for every question I asked, I was told an email would explain everything, to which it didn't. the process is after f u c king up my Tax set up on my Revenue account now and I'm already in underpayment as a result.
The whole idea of this service is for them to do the heavy lifting, yet I filled out every detail for the process myself, which I could have done in the first place myself.
Even after I asked to opt out of the services, the team were still pushing for "just one more form" to be completed for the next Tax year.
I can safely say, I will never use this service again, and I've been telling as many people as I can to stay well away from the service too. I've already heard of multiple other people who ran into the same issue with their revenue accounts skewed as a result too.
Shocking stuff altogether.

Horrible Customer Service
Horrible Customer Service, It’s been over a week that I am trying to get answer related to my Tax, you never know what amount you you get and when asked about information you get ghost. 2 days ago I was told that I was going to receive something I have asked what’s the amount and no answer, since 05/02 I am trying contact about my rent tax and of course no answer. Today I finally got back from the agent who is looking after saying about additional refund to be lodge and I have to pay 142 for it, I have replied 1 hour later and no answer god know when I will get this answer.

I am still waiting on a breakdown of what I will actually get I have emailed and heard nothing back, They have emailed saying I will a get a refund of 13,000 aus!! However will I get that fully? Apparently they take 65 percent off.

The final refund amount depends on how the superannuation fund processes your claim, as there are different tax rates depending on the type of visa you hold. For working holiday visa holders, the government tax rate on the funds is 65%. For other visa types, the tax rate is typically 35%. To provide you with a more accurate breakdown, we’ll need the details of your visa, which we requested in our email on January 28. Could you please check your inbox (and spam folder) for that message and reply with the details?
As for our fees, if the refund is over AUD 1,000, we charge a 20% fee plus a handling fee based on the approved refund amount. This commission is due upfront. However, for larger refunds, we offer more flexible payment options, where part of the fee is paid upfront, and the rest can be paid once you’ve received the refund in your account.

Efficient
First time I've ever used a company in this way and I've never given feedback I'm too lazy to be honest but I have to say I couldn't believe how quickly I got my tax refund from the time I contacted them till the time the money was in my account was only days.
All I did was gave my details and the permission to act on my behalf and they did everything for me.
