Our alarms do not use WiFi. They use a multi-network 4G SIM card system instead.

Phoned Taking Care for information about the alarm and spoke to Sarah who explained everything very clearly. She was very helpful and lovely to speak with. The alarm arrived within a few days, as promised and was easy to set up. The service was excellent.

Call handler ignored fall alarm…
Call handler ignored fall alarm activation as no response from person who had fallen!! Loved one lay lying on floor today for 3 hours till carer arrived. Now in hospital. I thought in this scenario call handler contacted emergency contact numbers. This is not the first time this has happened. On another occasion I was told if alarm fell on carpet or against body alarm may not activate. Not good enough. I await a report on why alarm activation was not followed through please.

The helpline is poor and can't answer…
The helpline is poor and can't answer basic queries such as cost of contacting the tracker via my phone as it's an international call or the battery charging. I was 'recommended' to leave on charge overnight so fully charged for the day and specifically told that it would not damage the battery. Given this product is for someone with dementia this seemed like a really good option as he won't remember to charge it so carers can do it last thing at night. I can also see online these instructions on an AI response attributed to your org. However helpline now saying that charging for more than 90 mins can damage the battery. Given the battery doesn't last for a fraction of the advertised charge time - between 12 and 24 hours in our experience and certainly not 3 days - this is now a real problem. It's so frustrating that organisations selling to vulnerable people don't know their products.

Very easy to set up and best for battery life. We had one false alarm in the first couple of days but the cal handler was really good and rang back to check after it was cancelled.

5 star support. Minus 5 for delivery
The support about purchase was superb. I paid extra for a Saturday delivery, which I know was ordered by the sales staff. It was actually delivered on the Wednesday before when I was away and left on doorstep. By miracle neighbour retrieved. Clearly a minus score for the experience overall.
