I rely on the service provided by Synter - Mercedes-Benz Cheltenham where I have been a customer now for 8 years.
During this time I have never been let down or disappointed by the service I have received - on the contrary it has been exemplary.
From one’s initial contact over the telephone to arrange a booking to the time of collecting one’s vehicle after the service has been completed, the personal involved are all customer focused.
As a Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry, I cannot recommend this Company highly enough.

Horrendous experience following the purchase of a BMW 1 Series from Synter BMW Wolverhampton.
Sold a vehicle with significant safety defects, undisclosed damage and one which was extremely dirty. When I raised the issues they dismissed my concerns and asked me not to reflect my experience in their reviews. They sold the same car without any further checks or improvements and have since dismissed any issues or resolution. Horrendous garage that does not demonstrate the values of BMW Approved Used. Stay clear!

Purchased a Jaguar XF from them. It failed halloween weekend (still under warranty). Dashboard lit up like a christmas tree.
ABS Failure, Gearbox Failure, all lights on the dash lit up and a few more warnings flashing up to boot.
Limp it back to the garage, 15 minutes later, telling me an under inflated tyre had caused the ABS to have a funny 5 minutes.
3 weeks later, gearbox fails. Unable to select any gear, limp home mode engaged. Get it back to them, left it with them for 3 months. Originally told it needed a new gearbox, then told it was an intermittant fault and finally told they didnt know what was wrong with it and gave it back. They never bothered sending it to the Sytner Jaguar Service centre, but a local garage around the corner.

Dilly went out of his way to help us with our search, viewing/test drive etc. Unfortunately the vehicle wasn’t to my partners liking but details left with him to contact us when other possible alternatives come into stock. A pleasant hassle free experience all round.

Passenger airbag recall…
Had a recall for the passenger air bag on my E250 coupe so I booked it in at Northampton Riverside Mercedes. Straight afterwards I noticed wind noise coming from the passenger door, like the window wasn't shut properly, it wasn't until later on when I washed the car I noticed that the chrome trim around the door seal had been crimped. Just above the wing mirror, which had obviously occurred whilst removing the airbag. Upon pointing this out , I was told the damage was due to someone ' trying to break in ' ....
I leave you to draw your own conclusions!

We recently bought a car from Synter Northampton, and what a great experience from start to finish. The staff were very helpful and knew theyre cars inside and out. Big big thank you to Ben and Alex for theyre excellent sevice and to all the other staff who were friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend them. It was actually quite a nice experience.

Synter Bristol. There are lots of good car dealers out there, this ISN'T one of them. Bought an F-type Jaguar, after six weeks no log book. Phoned Synter and was told sorry but they sent the log book to the wrong address and I would have to sort it out myself. Might as well have gone to a dodgy car dealer, both have the same couldn't care less attitude. Now I have to battle with DVLC to get a log book. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I wish I had!

So my car was in for service today . Ones of those whilst you wait. All I can say is terrible service they were to busy to carry out my service so I asked them just to do health check as I needed to collect kids from school. Originally asked them not to wash my car. But then went back to service advisor and said if possible wash my car to which she replied it’s already been washed so I thought ok great as my car was a bit dusty. When I was about to leave notice these people washed my car but it looked worse than when the car come in to the dealership. How does this make sense? I spent £250 on a machine polish a few days before and this is how these people treat your car. So I ask to speak to the service manager to which the service advisor said he will call me. He never bothered so rang back the next day ask to speak to him again but no call back again. These people need to get their heads of the sand. Please do not use this dealership if you value your car.
Appalling customer service !
I purchased a car for £23,000 cash on 30th March 2024 from the Car Shop Wakefield (now Sytner).
I was promised I would be reimbursed the £50 temporary insurance for one day and also the cost of the log book (£25).
In April I emailed the Assistant manager (Tyler Graham) 3 times, asking when I would receive the £75 total reimbursement. He ignored all my emails.
I then raised a complaint on 19th April 2024. Michelle Williams (Head of Business - Designate) replied to me saying she would look at it. I emailed her afterwards and had no reply. Then I tried to ring her twice and she has failed to return my calls.
The £50 was reimbursed to me in May.
Then I had to escalate the complaint and finally in June I received the £25 reimbursement.
It was obvious, that once I paid the £23,000 cash, Sytner were not interested in speaking to me (no reply to emails or phonecalls).
The customer service is appalling and I would suggest you avoid this company, as really they are just after your money and after that, they don’t want to know you.

Hit a pothole traveling to Wales. Have recovery service with BMW (A company I will never be buying a car from again!).
Two days and counting and still don't have my vehicle back, was promised it by 11am today. Even better, price for the replacement tyre £200. This was a tyre I purchased 2 weeks ago for £150.
So ripping me off and not even offering any kind of customer service as I have tried to get hold of them 4 times today alone,

Got a video telling me my ten year old mini had some where are tear (I knew that and didn’t ask for it) tyres brakes etc, I declined the FREE wash and vac but they did it anyway 🤷🏻♂️ paid £120 for diagnostics unable to find fault 🤷🏻♂️ then was told it would cost a further £180 per hour to find the fault, I refused and begrudgingly paid the £120 for nothing other than a wash and a video of the underside of my car,
Took the car to a reputable garage and was fixed for £60 no part’s required 😳 they are called main stealers for a reason
