Do yourself a favour and don’t use this company. There’s no effective follow up nor any real care and attention. My teeth very quickly moved even with their retainer treatment and the only help they gave is to do the impressions again at a high cost when I already paid a hefty amount for the treatment. The response to my complaint was also rude and without careful consideration. Please please don’t waste your time, effort and money with this company.

Keeping it short, they are scammers. Promise you a perfect smile behind a load of small print. The aligners start breaking and they dont care, my teeth are still not straight (at all) and they want more money then proceed to block you from everything and close your account, absolutely shocking

A very disappointed result and very poor customer service, I felt no genuine care is provided to you as the customer, I feel they are only interested in ‘service add ons’ to get more money from you, a really disappointing experience as a returning client from an existing procedure.

I lost a retainer and they were charging an extortionate amount for a replacement, they then quoted to complete another plan to entice you to pay in even more, after paying more than enough for the initial treatment I understand that there would be a small fee for this but £150 for a retainer is very steep.

No call option everything is done via web chat / messages, no formal complaints procedure in place to be able to resolve any issues, the quality of the product is very cheap (the plastic moulds & packaging ).

I found the overall result very poor and the customer service a real disappointment.

I would not recommend to use at all,

I love these guys; my teeth are brilliant as a result of the treatment, and their customer service is fantastic. I've now finished the course of treatment and am using the nighttime retainers, and I had a situation where my dog ate my retainers (yes, genuinely), and I didn't have any other sets left over to keep me going as I assumed i wouldn't need them anymore.

The customer service team expedited my retainer replacement so that I had as little time without them as possible, and basically saved my teeth in the process. If I'd have had to wait the normal 3-4 weeks that was commonly listed as the delivery time (which is absolutely fine normally if you still have another set of retainers to rely on), I'd have really been screwed, so thank you so much, guys, for helping me out in a time of need :)

Bite misaligned by their treatment and now needs £6k to put right with a proper dentist. I knew it was a risk using online care but naively hoped I’d be lucky. Straight teeth direct have offered no support, insist it is a pre-existing issue despite dental records confirming otherwise. Please avoid.

I had aligners with Straight Teeth Direct for two years. When I look back at how my teeth were and how they are now, the difference is very good. That being said, my teeth are still not perfect, even after two sets of refinements. It’s not so much the money that you spend but the time and effort it takes having to constantly brush your teeth after every meal. You need a toothbrush with you at all times. I think if you have minor corrections needed, this company is perfect. However, if you have more substantial crowding, gaps etc- this is not the right option. The service was great, I lived in Vietnam and France during the treatment and they were able to send the aligners to me very conveniently. I had big gaps in my bottom teeth towards the end of my treatment, so ended up spending a lot more money for bonding and a fixed retainer. Overall I would say I’m happy with the treatment, I have saved a good chunk of money, but that being said it would have been easier to invest in Invisalign.

I’d suffered a relapse of the positioning of some bottom teeth about a year after I’d finished the aligner treatment. After contacting straight teeth direct to tell them this, they quickly responded and have sent me the last three aligners I had with them plus a new retainer set at no extra cost as it apart of the guarantee. Teeth move no matter what we do, so it’s good to know they have me covered to rectify it.

Save up and go for Invisalign! Took over a year longer than anticipated (meant to take 11 months but took over two years). I was worried because the first simulation showed a gap between by front two teeth, they assured me this wouldn't happen but it has and they won't offer any more refinements. If there are gaps they'll just blame the shape of your teeth or your biology (even though my teeth have moved so easily and quickly throughout the process). I understand certain shaped teeth will leave triangle gaps but I've just got regular gaps so they're not due to the shape of my teeth just poor treatment. My teeth are overall straighter but now there's gaps so really you're replacing one insecurity with another. If you can afford it definitely go for Invisalign!

So happy with straight teeth direct! They have now made my teeth proper straight! Every staff member has been helpful, all of them have been very patient! In all honesty if u wanna get straight teeth choose these! Perfect! Couldn’t ask for any better!

Awful experience. I started my aligner course in 2022, the aligners never helped me to achieve the predicted result that was given. The retainers at the end of the course have broken and been the wrong shape or size multiple times, and each time i have been asked to give money for them to fix this. Dont waste your time and money. Has been years of back and forth and money wasted, my teeth are no better off than they were 3 years ago. Very upset to have spent so much and have very little to show for it, customer service is abysmal.

I was initially happy with the service from Straight Teeth Direct and thought my teeth were on the way to looking great until I got to 80% on the "status" section of the app and they told me the service was complete and that I would need to pay over £800 if i wanted my teeth completed.

Once i completed all of the braces in the box they sent me further braces to try and get me to 100%. I wore these and a gap between my upper lateral & central incisor appeared which I now hate. It looks worse then before they sent me extra braces which makes me feel like they didn't analyse my teeth properly. There is also a new gap on my bottom front teeth which wasn't there before the extra braces.

I messaged them about my concern asked them if i continued with the service (basically paying another £800 + paying for impression kits) that they would be able to correct the front teeth I previously mentioned however they wouldn't confirm - they just suggested buying more braces.

They no longer provide 3D scanning so I had to use the impressions kits which take 3/4 weeks to arrive in the post. I followed the instructions carefully yet after 2 attempts (3/4 weeks wait each) apparently there was too much "distortion" so they'd need to send another kit. Another 3/4 weeks.

I feel like my course isn't complete and I'm left with having to go elsewhere & to pay more money to have my teeth put into position.

The company are quick to suggest buying more from them but do not address the issues you present to them first.

I told them I wasnt happy with having to wait another 3/4 weeks for another impressions kit as its already been 20 months (8months longer than expected) trying to finish my teeth.

They then refunded me £60 (not sure what for) and deleted my account - which says a lot!

I followed the plan and the instructions for retainers and my teeth are much better.
My teeth did not match the end result but my smile was much better.
I was impressed by how they monitored the progress and gave recommendations.
However I think they should bring 3D scans back or arrange dentist appoinments for impressions as it is nearly impossible for people with big teeth to do the impressions at home.

The actual treatment was not too bad.I had to be on their case to get things right and we always find a way .
However, i signed up for a retainer plan and they were extremely poor and the quality decreased year by year.
I raised it with them and they chose to delete my account as they found me annoying and knew that I would hold them accountable for a poor service.
Due to very poor retainers, my teeth have moved so I am very disappointed and I would not recommend it at all.

Its a amator company trying to make it, disorganized, bad product, that was my experience. People reply fast and nicely, know the startup play book, but at the end of the day, it doesnt deliver. I purchased aligners. Along the way one broke due to usage, asked for replacement, they didn't have the data to produce it! So they sent an impression box, which I used, according to instructions. Waited 3 weeks ONLY to know that the impression box wasn't accepted. After spendimg almost 2 months without replacement, somehow I get a notification that they were sending a replacement ONLY from the top part. It arrived, but was loose. I told them that, asked them if I could instead do an intra mouth 3D scan instead at a local dentist. They Said no and no. Two weeks after they cancelled my plan and shipped retainers. This meant, the warranty expired and my teeth are not what they promissed would BE. In Portugal there is a saying "o barato sai caro"...Google it and thats what you'll get with these guys. Good luck

Easy to do at home with no dental appointments, the company are very quick responding and helping with any questions. Very quick delivery of all retainers. The only down side is that you have to do a maintenance plan to keep up with your smile or purchase a set of retainers if you don’t want to subscribe to a plan. Retainers need to be kept on top of so the teeth stay in the same place. Overall I find the company very friendly and helpful.

Poor experience - bite never lined up and teeth have all gone back to where they were. Overall waste of money and I would not recommend.

Teeth moved back to original position after 1 year as you are only provided with one alligner to maintain your teeth, this obviously gets dirty and snaps after a couple weeks of daily use. You are expected to pay more unfortunately for more maintainer retainers (£99 each per upper and per low retainer) so my teeth have completely went back and the whole treatment was now a waste of time/the initial £1500 I paid

I started with straight teeth direct about 18 months ago

Initially all seemed to be going well, I had aligners 1-16 (although I did note that aligner 16 wasn’t straight) they said I will require more after the first batch.

Having worn them all as required I then came to the end of the 16 they tried to price gouge me for more aligners which I refused to pay. They sent them out with no paperwork or instructions etc, I continued to wear them for 2 weeks at a time and it came towards the end of the treatment and they said as I’d not been completing monthly check ins if I needed more I might need to pay.

I explained why I hadn’t been completing check ins, genuine disability that’s protected, they ignored and and continued to argue with me when I was on 5/6 of the retainers. Then they kept quoting their terms and conditions to me and I explained that nobody had explained to me that I needed to wear them for three weeks at a time instead of two.

They kept repeating themselves and refusing to acknowledge that they hadn’t bothered to take the time to ensure I was wearing them for three weeks, when for the last 15 months or so it’s always been 2 weeks.

They use stuff buried in terms and conditions to absolve themselves of any wrongdoing of it doesn’t go how assured you it will go. They lie through their teeth and when you stand up for yourself they ignore you.

This continued back and forth and I explained I wasn’t happy as I’ve paid for straight teeth not nearly straight teeth. I never said I wouldn’t pay for the extra set of aligners as I’d clearly not completed the check ins, although I will note they are utter nonsense as they don’t check anything other than that aligners fit, which they obviously fit if you’ve got them on.

Instead of offering a solution they’ve just deleted my account - unbelievable really given they’ve taken almost £1600 off of me.

Ironically I’ve got crooked teeth because of these crooks so I’d advise you stay well away!

I wasn’t able to afford Invisilign and was glad I stumbled upon Straight Teeth Direct. They’re more cost-efficient and everything can be done in the comfort of home. They have always been responsive and even when I had issues, they would respond within 1-2 days with a solution. I’m feeling more confident about my smile!
