I dont recommend Storage king

I dont recommend Storage king. Since they have taken over zippys north Geelong this place has taken a nose dive. When it was Zippy storage it was much better and run by friendly people. My late mother used Zippys and had no problems. Then she passed away and myself and partner learned mum was late on a few payments. I kept receiving text messages from this company demanding money, one occasion even made the threat if we dont pay a certain amount by a certain date all belongings would be sold off. Oh and in the mean time Storage king changed the lock so we cant access the unit. After we talked the lady's in the office about my mum and we will fix this they said we can pay off the bill and catch up. But that has now changed thanks to Storage king head office now they expect us to pay $900 in two weeks or we have two weeks to vacate. Like seriously how can we do this as we are a one income couple, we didnt know my late mum was behind in her bill as we have explained . Mum had very little money when she suddenly passed away so we had the stress and expenses of the funeral cost. Now Storage king has added more stress on top of everything. We thought we had a deal that we can pay off the debt with you. But you turn nasty and pushy. This company has shown no compassion towards my late mum and myself and partner. Now thanks to this latest demand we are panicking and stressed. We dont appreciate being treated like this, and i certainly dont appreciate all the text messages head office sent me. We told you my mum died but you dont care. You just want money money money. Its not like we are going to skip town on you, we said we would pay off the debt. This Storage place was definitely run better when it was Zippy and run by Mark I think his name was . Very upset and disappointed. Definitely wont recommend Storage king. In closing the lady's in the office on premise are fantastic and wanted to help us, but head office dont care about their customers and 0 customer service from head office and 0 compassion. Huge thumbs down
