Tried the new bib shorts, from Stolen Goat, unfortunately i found the pad to thick for my taste, but overall they were well made. The returns process was simple and quick.

I bought a Primal s/s jersey in the Autumn sale - checkout was quick and easy, communication back from Stolen Goat was good (timely and not too much), jersey arrived quickly and in excellent knick and included a free waterproof smartphone pouch and flyer for some insurance discount (not sure what, not applicable for me).

All in all, a very good transaction from start to finish - thoroughly like the whole company ethos [well Tims I guess :)] and setup, website is a pleasure to use and the kit looks cracking. I'll be using them again in the future for sure, no hesitation in recommending them whatsoever. Brilliant.

Just had my first outing in my new Stolen Goat Lionheart jersey. I couldn't see it myself, but I reckon it looked pretty cool. Took the Goat and the Lion up onto Old Winchester Hill for a magnificent view of the Hampshire countryside in what will probably be the last of 2014's summer sun. We saw cattle, sheep and, yes, goats. Luckily, no other lions. Felt like one of the herd I did!

There are many places to buy cycling clobber online these days, ranging from the big shops (Evans) to small shops (JE James etc) to online only retailers (Stolen Goat, Wiggle).

Now most of these sell the same kind of kit, and roughly the same prices, though the online places should be a little bit cheaper as they don't have shops to keep running. So what makes you purchase from one place rather than another?

It's often the little things, like customer service. Stolen Goat are a small company, pretty much two guys. I saw a review of a jersey on Road.cc that I liked the design of (Belgian lion inspired) so I went online and tried to order it. Alas, sold out. So I emailed the company and asked if they would be getting more in.

This is where normal customer service was not resumed. Instead of getting a generic response about more being on the way, Tim Bland, the Director emailed himself to appologise and explain that more stock had been ordered and would be with us soon. Not only that, a day or two later he emailed back to say it had arrived, and that I could go online and get it in the size I wanted straight away.

He then emailed again when the bibshorts came in and offered me £10 off as well. I duly ordered them, and as a courtesy emailed him back to say so. He emailed once again in person to say thank you!

Now, he probably won't be able to keep this level of customer interaction up as the company gets bigger and bigger, but it's earned my repsect and much of my future business.

Stolen Goat's Lion Heart cycling jersey has a funky design and is expertly suited to riding the bike ;-) Can't wait for matching Lion Heart shorts to go online...

Fast shipping (even to the USA where I live) and customer service is top notch, just like the merchandise. The Stolen Goat jerseys themselves are a fantastic value and jerseys they carry from other makers are of great quality, all at reasonable prices. Ordered a Primal Fusion jacket. Delivered the next day. The jacket is all I hoped for, soft, breathable and warm, perfect for chilly autumn mornings and I expect it will get a lot of use this winter.
