I've used Starry Mart twice, the first time was fine and everything arrived on time and as advertised (albeit the short date issue others have noted).

Unfortunately, the most recent experience with them hasn't been great - they decided to use Royal Mail as their courier during the strikes .... the first order didn't turn up for a couple of weeks and they eventually (after numerous emails and two week delay) sent a replacement order.

They didn't have some of the items in stock (the refund they've promised for those items still hasn't appeared and it looks like a bank chargeback might be required). A week later the original order appeared ... and trying to get an answer from them about what to do with it has become a bad joke - at first them wanting me to buy it at a 20% discount, and then not bothering to reply for 18 days and needing prompted. And now Starry Mart being too cheap to even pay for a courier collection and wanting me to take it to some random store 5 miles away to save them £1 with Evri!!

I hate to think how many of the products will be out of date now too given the box has been bouncing about since the end of November 2022, and i've still got the box sitting to go back. I've never had these sorts of issues with a company before - emails just being ignored and then effectively having to argue to avoid spending time delivering their box to the courier to save them a pound (all whilst they can't be bothered refunding the missing items either).

I'm not sure if i will use them again as they expect the customer to wait forever on shipping (when they choose to use a courier suffering industrial action) and then expect the customer to resolve what is their logistical issues - and what sort of company wouldn't just pay Evri/Hermes an additional £1 for the collection option in any case

Edit: And i note that they've now queried this (on the 30th of September 2026) - "You’ve written a review for Starrymart, and they’ve asked for more details to better understand your experience." but this occurred in January 2023 ... it looks like they want to try and remove historic bad reviews but didn't bother to actually try and remedied this at the time at all

I placed an order at 2AM for an item which I had mistaken for something else. I followed up with an email apologising for the error and asking to cancel the order. By 7AM it was cancelled no questions asked and the order fully refunded. You can't ask for better service and I'll definitely be coming back to this store in the future.

We used to live in Asia. This is my sons absolute favourite online store for all the Asian goodies when hes homesick. We mever had a problem ordering from them and delivery is fast.

Best and cheapest Asian and Japanese food I can find on the internet not only that they gave me freebies which I love discount code doesn't work though which is a shame not enough to knock a star off anyway because the delivery was fast and i got freebies so can't complain

Very happy with the service I received, shopping was easy and my products were shipped and received promptly.

It’s my first time buying there and it is also my last time.
They sent me 4 items that are going to be expired in less than 3 months time.
Half of the other items around 8-10 expires in 6 months.

This is ridiculous.

Reply to below: I had emailed them and I got no reply at all. How convenient that I only got a reply through a bad public review sooner than my private email to your customer service.

My first time ordering with Starrymart and was not disappointed. Ordered Saturday evening and got my goodies Monday afternoon. Excellent services. All products ordered are high quality and very well packed. A couple of the items had 4 months before expiry but the taste is not affected and they’re almost eaten! Rest of the items are long dated. Will definitely buy again from here. Great customer service.

While i commend the store for processing and delivering my order fairly quickly, everything in my order expires within 3-6 months and this was not declared on their website. When i contacted them about this, i was given a "not our fault this is how it is" explanation and a return option was provided, at my expense. Will no longer be patronising this store. i will be taking my business to Tradewinds Oriental Store, they provided better service and contacted me when any item in my order had a shorter shelf life to ensure i was ok with it before proceeding to dispatch.

My local Starry Mart didn't have any Healthy Boy Brand Mushroom Soy Sauce in stock so I decided to look online for it. I came across the Starry Mart website and was a bit dubious of ordering at first because I've never used it. Nevertheless, I ordered three bottles of the soy sauce (delivery was £3.99) and it arrived within 2 days. Really impressed with the super fast delivery and was pleased that there was no plastic packaging inside the box the bottles came in (lots of paper void fill kept the bottles from getting damaged). Highly recommend and will order again in future.

The delivery is very quick. The range of items on starry mart is great. I ordered the BTS americanos and they made sure, although it's random, that I still got most of the members! I've ordered multiple times now and will again

Awesome Asian supermarket which stocks all of my obscure favourites. Delivery times are phenomenally good and the website offers a good money off points system. 5 stars. Highly recommended to all.

Starry Mart is an amazing Asian store! Has many variety of Asian goods. It was my first time ordering online and it’s fantastic! My order was progressed quickly and it arrived the next day. The delivery man was very nice and friendly. I will definitely comeback and would really recommend this store to those who are interested !

Have ordered twice from Starry Mart. Once via Amazon, and once directly from their site. Extremely happy with both experiences. Orders are processed quickly. Arrive quickly. An order that had glass in them were safely packed. Will definitely be ordering regularly from here from now on. Have items you cant find in super markets. And better quality items than what you actually can find in super markets.

Just ordered dumplings and they had thawed . There was no ice bags so I'm assuming this is why this happened not happy wont order frozen from them again
