after day 1 i had trouble with the clutch , i got the car delivered in January i'm waiting for the ombudsman to try and resolve the situation 10 months on.

I’m one of those people who don’t normally leave reviews but have been so appalled with my experience that I felt the need to.
Avoid this garage at all costs. I initially booked a test drive, drove an hour to the site only to find the vehicle stuck behind 5 other cars with a flat tyre. I stupidly gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back a week later. Having reserved the car with the ‘fully refundable reservation fee’ and deciding the car isn’t for us (too many question marks) they are now refusing to return the reservation fee claiming it’s actually a deposit which would only have been refunded had we decided BEFORE WE LEFT THE SITE. This this theft and if it’s not resolved we will be contacting the police.

Avoid at all costs
Upon collecting the vehicle we notice a ticking sound and the boot cover was missing a guy called Josh was the sale guy, the boot cover was a minor as we could get one cheap off eBay. Josh not even sure if that’s even his name at this point, reassured us that not the worry about it I could get it checked by a garage and they would handle the bill sound fare enough, only to get a diagnostic report and fobbed off by Josh the coconut and Naz with her make up melting off her face. The Drivers Shaft were gone, they said it passed their mot completely false.fake mot. Please be careful and Avoid to save yourself to stress and the hassle. Totally Fraudulent

Honestly, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had buying a car. The whole thing felt dodgy from start to finish.

The car looked like it had just come straight from an auction, not what you’d expect from a dealer.
No spare key, no spare tyre – both missing.
Later found out the car had been used by a disabled person and looked like it had been adapted, which was never mentioned.
To make things worse, the road tax was set as “DISABLED” and they didn’t tell us. We couldn’t tax the car on collection day and had to waste time going to a Post Office to sort it.
They promised the V5C would be updated to our address – it wasn’t. When we asked, they lied about it.
The car had loads of faults that seem like they were cleared just before the sale.
It was pulling badly to the left and wasn’t tracked as promised. They said they’d book it in, but that never happened.
Customer service? Basically non-existent.
Took them over two weeks to return our deposit, and only did it after we threatened legal action.

Overall, completely unprofessional. I wouldn’t buy a car from them again and strongly recommend you avoid them at all costs.

Would not recommend these to future customers purchased a vehicle recently after having the car a few days I needed 2 repairs luckily it was covered by warranty but then I had to purchase 2 new tyres due to them been cracked and nearly at legal tread limit which I was not happy about. Customer service is shocking sent numerous emails which was ignored this should not be happening when you’ve paid a lot of money for a used vehicle .

We purchased a car last year and within 9 days the car was diagnosed by a main dealer as unfit for purpose. It seems a current theme after reading Trust Pilot reviews but our car had a faulty engine. Complete cowboys who were rude, dismissive and unprofessional. We may have lost money as we paid cash for our car but karma will come around to them. Simon, Niaz and Ben are complete fraudsters. What goes around, comes around. We have reported to Trading Standards, Watchdog and Rip Off Britain. It's a shame the people who have been ripped off can't connect and take these fraudsters to court.

Purchased a car with MOT and new service. Within a week it had broken down on the side of the motorway.
Engine fault, ABS fault and oil well below minimum.

Trying to get hold of a manager is beyond difficult, they are not allowed to call them.

Never again....now to get my money back....

Literally amazes me that this company is allowed to trade.

Engine light came on 2 weeks after purchasing our vehicle. I called 3 times a day every day with nobody taking my calls and luckily purchased on finance where the finance company took it on for me and managed to get my money back after 2 months.

1 previous owner was how they sold it but the V5C said 2.

After reading the other similar bad reviews I feel so dumb to not read reviews before purchasing.

Should have done more research into this company before buying a car from them. We had two problems with our car very shortly after taking delivery & they were not interested in the slightest. Had to call several times to speak to anyone & then was told to put it all in an email. Got a reply to the email but was offered no help with either issue. Basically they just washed their hands of it completely. If you want any form of customer service don't use SR Motors!!

Niaz, was very helpful and turned the the sale of my van around very quick for me.

Hi if this is same company based in Ilford be mindful- bought vehicle and whilst they were polite one of the sales man was very shady, knew nothing about the specifications, said there was a ghost immobilser fitted which turned out to be a ‘can- phantom’! Still waiting on paperwork for warranty and salesman does not respond! AVOID as cannot trust them.

Sold car with massive oil leak. I only found out about it because AA recovery man informed me about the issue. Two days I after I bought the car plastic under tray fall down. SR motors used cable ties, there are so cheap.
I went back but with a lot of difficulties. They kept the car for one week and they told me that damaged part has been replaced. 23rd December my car was going through the service and leaked so bad that now I have to go to small claims court to get my money back.
Avoid at all cost, watch out of the guy who is doing MOT. I have already informed DVLA about this MOT station.

✔ Timing system failure – A critical failure that doesn’t happen suddenly. This was clearly pre-existing.
✔ Faulty catalytic converter & sensors – Another sign of long-term neglect.
✔ Immobiliser wiring defects – A serious safety issue missed in their so-called "rigorous checks."

💸 SR Motor Group’s Shady Tactics:
1. Sold Me a Lemon & Denied Responsibility – Despite (their own warranty garage) confirming these faults, Niaz & management still claim the car was "perfect" at sale. Lies!
2. Pushed an Extended Warranty to Shift Blame – At point of sale, they pressured me to buy extra coverage. When I declined, they now use it as an excuse to avoid liability. This is predatory behavior!
3. Ignored My Complaints & Passed the Buck to Warranty Co. – Instead of honoring Consumer Rights Act 2015*

⚠️ Warning to Buyers:
- Their “MOT & safety checks” are worthless – My car was dangerously faulty from day one.
- They will try to upsell you warranties to avoid future responsibility.
- Niaz & team refuse to take accountability – Even with proof, they gaslight customers.

I’m now taking legal action and reporting them to Trading Standards & The Motor Ombudsman. Save yourself the hassle—go elsewhere!

I had an awful experience with this garage. They claimed the car was in great condition and insisted I pay before delivery. When the vehicle arrived, it had multiple issues and visible damage that were not mentioned in the advert. After the fact, they edited the advert to say “sold as seen,” even though it originally highlighted “LOW mileage!” — a clear bait-and-switch.

Their customer service is appalling. Once they have your money, they stop responding and show no interest in resolving issues. In my experience, they are dishonest, misleading, and only interested in taking your money — not in providing a fair or honest service. Do not trust them and don’t make the same mistake I did.

Horrible garage/Dealer. Please don't go near them unless you want to waste your money. I bought a vehicle from them, but it broke down the very week I had it and continues to break down now and then. The vehicle came with all sorts of pre-existing issues. They refused to acknowledge my complaints. I called and called; they kept pushing from one person to another. When they picked up their phone, they redirected me to send an email, and they have never responded to the email. The issue is still ongoing, and they never responded to my email. They are a horrible business/car dealer. Please don't buy from them unless you want to buy a headache.

Terrible. Unbelievably bad on every single possible level. Niaz, Simon both are horrible human beings who will rip you off and not care about it afterwards. Bought a Discovery 4, engine management light came on after a few days. Needed £2000 repairs, they weren't even slightly interested. Called about 20 times over 3 weeks, ignored, promised call backs then they never called back once. Consumer rights act means nothing to them, they will ignore you as soon as they have your money. Don't buy from here. I've had to get my solicitor involved to take them to court. Also, it'd had a "service" by them... all the parts they changed are date stamped and had never been changed. Worst company I've ever had the displeasure to deal with. Avoid avoid avoid
