Purchased Adidas trainers for twice weekly gym use from Elgin branch in Scotland. Within 4 weeks, plastic lace eyelets had begun to split. Store manager refused to replace or refund stating that I must have been tying them wrong. I don’t think so, been tying shoelaces for 60 years! His suggestion to contact Adidas directly was a complete waste of time; they cannot replace/refund if not purchased online. 2nd visit to Elgin store was met with the same rude, arrogant and unhelpful store manager who refused to give his name. Reluctantly he provided email for Sports Direct Head Office. Awful experience. I cannot recommend this shower of cowboys who have zero skills in customer service

Sports direct customer service issue
I did an online order for a few items. When the order arrived i picked it up from the local store, one of the tshirts i order should have been in xl size and they had sent me a tshirt in size xlt3 size. This was far too long. I contacted the online customer service who just dismissed the issue,
Told me i had received the item size correctly even though i provided pictures to them and disconnected the chat. This company makes it very difficult to deal with returns. They said i could pay postage to return at £4.99 when the item only cost £6. I certainly wont be buying anything from them again. How they can get away with this is dont know.

I could have bought instore and save delivery charges or extra delivery footprint. As goodwill theh should refund me the delivery charge.

I returned two items to Sports Direct — a Mens Virda Lightweight T (Brick/Black, Large) and a Hummel Tr Poly T-shirt (Marine, Large) — that I had tried on briefly and which did not fit. My refund was refused on the grounds that the items were "used." When I requested photographic evidence, a description of the alleged defects, and managerial review, none was provided.
In a later email, the reason for refusal shifted: now Sports Direct also claimed the tags had been removed. The items arrived back to me from the warehouse with no tags — because there were no tags on them when they were dispatched to me in the first place. I did not remove any tags.
This raises the obvious question of whether the items had been previously returned by another customer and re-dispatched to me without inspection, then refused on the basis of a condition Sports Direct themselves caused.
Across five emails, customer service has provided no evidence, no managerial review, and shifting reasons for refusal. A formal chargeback has now been raised through my bank.
Disappointing handling of a straightforward return.
One bad experience after another
Bought my second pair of trainers and like the first pair they developed problems very soon after I bought them but they won't take them back. I also recently bought a pack of resistance bands and went back to return them (unused, pack unopened) but was given a credit note instead of a refund. Would have given zero stars if I could as one star isn't deserved in my experience

The last 2 online orders I purchased they haven't fulfilled fully. Brought to their staff,as I collected the parcel in-store,who confirmed that the parcel was not complete, missing 3/5 items. But because it was purchased online they couldn't rectify it. I was to go online. "Dave" in customer service told me they had sent it and they were doing nothing more about it. If they're stealing £20 off each customer they're making a nice profit on their discounted items. Awful company. Stay clear.

Once again we have been let down by Sports Direct.
THey charged me £10 for next day delivery, but the item didnt arrive for a few days afterwards.Customer service were useless and said i have to call them back after its been delivered to get the money back.I emailed the CEO he has not even bothered to respond. He should be terminated, as the service delivery stems from the top and if the top guy is shocking then the staff will just reflect that culture, wont ever shop there again.
