Sporting Cutlery is part of the family run STS (North Wales) Ltd umbrella company. Our company was founded in 1964 and is based on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.
We pride ourselves on keeping the strong family values that established the company all those years ago. We understand that our customers deserve fairness and honesty along with standard core values that we all expect in our daily lives.
At Sporting Cutlery, we work to ensure that all products are covered by a guarantee. The majority of the products we stock are covered by a manufacturers guarantee, however, even where warranties are not immediately evident, Sporting Cutlery will warranty product faults on the majority of items.
We use a number of trusted carriers such as Royal Mail, UPS, APC Overnight and TNT to ensure that your order is delivered in good time and order. Shop soiled goods sold as new.
Two knives were purchased from a sale offer in a magazine. The knives were not described as damaged or shop soiled etc, so were assumed to be new. One of the knives had scratches on the blade and looked like it had been handled. The other came in a torn and very used looking box and there were parts missing from the sheath assembly, and the parts looked like they had been re-bagged.
Packaging was poor, the product boxes were just wrapped in paper and put in a plastic courier bag with no cushioning or other protective material. Conseqently, both boxes had suffered in transit.
The only good thing about the experience was free, next day shipping.

I placed an order only to be told later…
I placed an order only to be told later via email that there was no stock but they’d order some soon, but no indication of when.
Since the I haven’t heard anything. But they still took my money.
Items shouldn’t be advertised on the site that are out or stock and you shouldn’t settle funds until product is dispatched!

Your order has been cancelled and the money you have paid has been refunded to your PayPal account. The delay with this product is due to the Sheffield manufacturer being committed to Military of Defence contracts. In light of current world affairs our military forces take priority. As this product is a hand made knife and not Chinese pressed steel, sometimes this can cause delays in supply. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this matter.
