Good service

Easy to get hold via phone text and email. My car was fixed locally and it was quickly resolved. A fair reimbursement was completed quickly to my bank.

Piece of mind, but not entirely straight forward.

I’ve made 2 claims over the life of the policy, to date.

My most recent claim ran through relatively straight forward. My tyre was damaged and the dealership spoke with Spectrum and after about 2 weeks I was paid out.

On my first claim a few years ago, I had a puncture and the tyre required replacement.
I waited over 30 days in that instance.

On both occasions Spectrum refer to the prices stipulated on Halfords - but I usually take the car to the dealership or was recovered to the dealership.
No where in the terms and conditions of the policy does it mention a price cap denoted by Halfords which is unfair.

The first time Halfords didn’t even have the correct tyre.

I don’t want some apprentice working in my car at Halfords, I’d rather have the work done correctly by my dealership (no offence). The dealership warranties the work and make sure torque settings, balancing and so on are as per the original spec.

I had a bad experiance with with…

I had a bad experiance with with company and with the service (ACE Motorwork)with they are working. We claimed 2 month ago, and still waiting the divice to be changed. The insurance blames the garage and the garage blames the insurance. With every call we hear excuses and lies that everything will be resolved soon. I still waiting. I hope that one day my car will be fixed.

Be careful of this company

Spectrum agreed to cover a warranty claim made on a vehicle purchased from Motorpoint. The full cost of repairing the vehicle was £825 and I had a letter of proof of this.
With a backlog and waiting times for manufacturer parts (out of the customer's control), I kept in touch with them, hoping they might chase up the delay, but instead they cancelled the claim citing the delay, which now means I have to cough up the cost of repairing a part that broken under their warranty.

Be very careful of this company. A simple warranty repair job has ended up having to be settled by the customer's wallet. They will look for ANY way they can to avoid covering costs that they have agreed to.

Absolutely terrible experience with Spectrum Cover Insurance. Their approach is completely irresponsible. I had to go through the painful process of chasing them multiple times for my claim, yet I’m still waiting. They change the claim amount in between without ever informing the customer – completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

They constantly argue to take the car to their chosen garage for diagnostics, even for premium cars, just to reduce costs as much as possible. Instead of helping, they look for ways to cut corners. When I spoke to their team leader, Luke, there was no real response or resolution – just more delays.

This company will waste your time, give you the runaround, and quietly change things without transparency. Stay away if you value your money, your time, and your peace of mind.

I am unsure why you have left a negative review, we authorised your claim on one call from your repairing garage for the coil spring. The reason the claim amount was changed is due to the fact that the invoice once received, was lower than the original agreed figure on the call due to the fact your garage had discounted the parts. As with any business ,we can’t pay more than is stated on the invoice.

I’m satisfied we acted swiftly and promptly authorising your claim, the claim was authorised with the garage in 14 minutes 35 seconds.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service in renewing our warranty today. Can't fault it.
We've claimed on our warranty this year and the service was very good then too. Good company this.

Quick claims process

Spectrum sorted out my claim very quickly. Be aware that its sometimes difficult to get through on phone. Actual settlement took quite a long time.

Update

Following a phone call to Spectrum management explaining the situation, the company graciously agreed to offer some compensation for the repairs carried out. Money was in my account within 4 days. Many thanks to Pete for a amicable conversation, a great example of customer service.
