I've used Spectacles Direct twice for both everyday prescription glasses and recently a pair of prescription sunglasses.

The staff in showroom are extremely knowledgeable and go to great lengths to make sure you are 100% happy. I would never buy glasses from a high street opticians again.

I had read great reviews of this service on this site and was not disappointed. The process was easy (once I'd managed the slightly krpyton-factor style box assembly) and the service was extremely quick. Within a week I have received back my reglazed glasses with the unexpected extra of a new hard case to put them in - most welcome as I'd broken my old one.

I was also impressed with how much contact I received to assist me in tracking my order - I received e mails on receipt of my glasses and order and on despatch.

If there were a couple of improvements I could suggest, I think, jokes aside, slightly clearer instructions on how to put the box together and also a bit more clarity on the website about pricing. I was offered the recommended scratch resistant coating and also insured postal delivery. There was no "hard sell" but it would have been better to know about these options in advance so that I wasn't "on the spot" needing to decide.

Overall though an excellent service and one I'd recommend to others.

Great price fast delivery excellent service

I wanted some specs for a long drive I was undertaking on a weekend, and called up to make my order on the Thursday before so very little time available. My prescription is very low and I will only be wearing them occasionally so wasn't spending much - around £30 tops.

The specs I chose were actually unavailable but an alternative was sent and delivered next-day, and at a superbly low price that nowhere else online or in the shops could match.

Kirsty there was lovely and helpful and despite me buying one of the cheapest pairs on the site felt as if I was a valued customer.

Very highly recommended.

Have used Spectacles direct for years. My only criticism is that the prices seem to have gone up a lot recently.

Replaced standard lenses in a pair of Oakley frames with tinted lenses, dispatched packaging to send my glasses to the within 24hrs , called me in a couple of days do dscuss and agree the prescription , glasses recievedv3 days later , look great and were very reasonably priced

This firm as got that personal touch, not a salesperson who's just looking for a sale/ commission.

i found spectacles direct were excellent, i made a mistake on the form and it was picked up by them and they phoned me straightaway to query it. Then the delivery was fast and efficient, so well done to them, and i will definately use them again.Oh and i was very pleased with the spectacles.

I had fallen in love with a set of frames in a high street store and was gutted that I couldn't afford them. I checked out Spectacles Direct and saw they had the exact model for less than half of the high street price. I had never bought glasses online before so was a bit sceptical, but a quick call to them reassured me. The gentleman I spoke to was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and spoke to me about my prescription in language I could understand. This was Tuesday afternoon. I placed my order online and my glasses were delivered to my before 9am on Thursday. When I tried them on they were perfect. I was so delighted I told everyone at work and will definitely order a second pair from them.

Their service is so great, it's hassle free and the staff are very friendly. No damage to my frames I sent in either. I am very pleased with this company and would recommend to anyone!

I was looking for a particular model of Ray-bans which were difficult to find in the shops. I found them on Spectacles Direct at a competitive price. I ordered them and they arrived the next morning. Excellent Service.
