Best customer service. Has a great variety of produce Some prices can be a little to much for some items. But that is the same anywhere ypu go now days But the customer services beats the coop by far! Love they got subway at back of store.

Not very often I use Spar, but just as well, as the rare occasions I have had the horror to enter this diabolical store, I have been left with a sense of anxiety and anger! My experience relates specifically to Spar in Blandford.
I have seen other Reviews refer to staff as being unprofessional, rude, ignorant, spaced-out or whatever. I suppose, my grievance also relates to that aspect of non-existent customer service! In particular in relation to Spar's contract with Yodel Parcel Delivery Service. The question that keeps pop up in my mind is this: if Spar Blandford, or and other branch of Spar, or Spar as a business, is not happy with its contractual obligation to Yodel by accepting the parcels from customers, I presume, in exchange for a remuneration of whatever agreed amount, why is it then that Spar continues with their contract with Yodel? And, most crucially, why is it that Spar, have accepted the financial remuneration given by Yodel, then behave in such unprofessional and crude manner towards Yodel customers. Is the intention then to destroy the customer- base for Yodel and create a reputational shame on Yodel, speeding up their demise from the market? Does this then nominally indicate a commercial sabotage aimed at Yodel, in a joint conspiracy with Yodel's competitors? All these are food for thoughts- Questions need to be asked and answered.
I have had 2 bad experience so far- Once my parcel was refused for no obvious reason. I then travelled some 20 miles to another Yodel agent in Bournemouth. It was accepted with no issues. On second occasion, the obnoxious woman (possibly a high ranking shop- older- woman- assistant) claimed that no parcels would be taken until later in the day!
No reason as to why and when? The biased assertion was clearly based on her limited and distorted view of the world that we, the people customers, live on Spar's door step and can pop-in and out at anytime just to catch her in a compromised mood when she would be ready to accept our parcels! As there is a 10mile return journey for some of us, decision was made to take business elsewhere, clearly.
So, Yodel's fault for allowing such diabolical people destroy their reputation. And shame on this joke of a business, pretend supermarket thingy called Spar, staffed by outerspace spaced-out creatures with huge antennas on their empty heads with no smile, compassion, mannerism or professionalism.

Absolute rip off. Visiting family in the area and couldn't believe how expensive it is. Employees seemed nice enough, but the manager (I think her name was Gwen) was so rude to a number of customers. Couldn't believe her disgusting attitude. Never, ever will I step inside that establishment again. And my family members that are local won't be either. Shameful

I went into Blandford market place spar. Asked the guy at the counter if I could please have someone else serve me. He said sure. Went towards the back and said to a colleague in front of a customer and said here’s the nutter from last time. That broke my shell and then became a nut. Especially when the old gentleman looked over towards me when Alex said the nutter from last time is here. I wasn’t a nut then. But I became a nut when you called me a nutter. You’re a disgusting disgrace. Even your own colleague Samuel said that didn’t need to be said. If it wasn’t for Samuel and the old gentleman it would’ve went down much worse this time. Sack that Alex before I activate my social medias and completely ruin your shop. You lot should be ashamed for keeping that scum in the position of power. Let Samuel tisbury or Samuel tilbury be the store leader. He was a gem 💎 that day. Thank you Samuel for all your kind service and decent hospitality. I appreciated that and appreciate you. Thank you ❤️🤍💙 but Alex you are a dirty filthy human. And what goes around comes around. Trust.

I bought Spar own brand baked beans - yuck - hardly any sauce at all and tge beans were so dry. Was really looking forward to my beans on toast - really disappointed. The Spar own brand "butter spread" isn't very nice either - tastes like plastic.

Just opened a Spar "meat feast" pizza. It looked pathetic, barely any topping or tomato sauce, a smear of disgusting looking brown paste for "meat" and five very thin pieces of pepperoni. It smelled awful out of the pack of goodness knows what. I didn't think supermarket pizzas could get any worse but this is rock bottom. A joke. Just awful.

Also, the prices of alcohol! Ludicrous! £7.25 for a pack of John Smiths smooth bitter which I bought in the Coop recently for £4.25. RIP OFF!

And just to confirm it tasted like it smelled: weird.

I use this place for convenience but the other nearest shop is just 1 minute which I will be using from now on.
Everytime myself & others use the services there is always some sort of problem, the till staff are nice but quite obviously undertrained in various aspects of the job. Quite often you can be stood for 5 mins plus waiting for them to stop stacking shelves & chatting on the headsets, the customers come first in this scenario they are the one with the money.
The Manager is not a manager more like a glorified key holder unable or more likely incapable of making a management decision.
I was a regional manager for a similar business for a long time & I would identify on site management or lack of as the problem here, they instantly come across with an aggressive, argumentative not my job attitude but that's not my problem anymore I know a few people & myself that will give it a miss

Like to promote competitions but won't include Scotland so if you live in Scotland you can win stuff but then can't claim them! Disgusting company and will be boycotted from now on. Shame on you SPAR!

I just went into my local SPAR SHOP in Thornton to pick up a couple of items to make a sauce for tonight's steak and a couple of snacks for tonight's movie...

all I needed was a snack, extra virgin olive oil, butter, and some mushrooms...

£7.50 for a tiny bottle of extra virgin olive oil, not even a premium brand of olive oil. It is £1.00 anywhere else

I got a couple of snacks and one or two items I went in for and spent over £30.

I am a firm believer in supporting your local shops and businesses. But, I will never be supporting any Spar shop again.

Spar deserves to go bankrupt for that kind of pricing.

The Spar in Murton has gone downhill very fast.
One staff member who is a long term staff member is constantly miserable and barely acknowledges customers, and all the newer staff members should not even be working for them. They're rude and talk trash about other co-workers constantly (Co-Workers who have shown better customer service than themselves) They come across as judgemental to the point one of the young female staff members audible groans and rolls her eyes when service customers. Another staff member constantly belittles others and stares daggers into her colleagues who are talking to customers friendly. Another staff member Ive seen numerous times speak to other staff members and customers aggressively. The majority of staff save a few lack basic customer service skills and shouldnt be working in that environment. Several people I know already refuse to shop their anymore and prefer to pop into the co-op along the road.

I have been buying my samosas and cat milk from my local Spar store but they have discontinued both items leaving me high and dry. When I wrote to them they did not reply but added me to their mailing list.

Very rude female till staff Thursday 7th March Spar Stakesby, Whitby. At least wait until the customer is out the building before you start verbally abusing them.
Brought in some parcels, unfortunately the one Yodel machine available is frequently down or the Internet isn't working, so I had a backlog of parcels which I brought at 1.30pm; the only time I had use of the car (not that I should have to justify myself). Only to overhear staff talking about me with other customers after they thought I'd left. How embarrassing! 'Would you dare bring like 11 parcels in at lunch time when half the staff are on their lunch break' 'Wouldn't dream of doing it this time of day' 'Holding the staff up, why would you come now at our busiest time, what are people thinking' 'we get more parcels than actual customers.' Maybe I should start scheduling my day around the times Spar staff want to eat. No matter what time of day I come there is always a queue anyway, half of the time due to issues with the machine, and you know, people buying items.

Maybe talk with your employers if you're unhappy with the facilities your workplace offers or find a job in a shop that doesn't offer this facility so you don't have to deal with customers.

I'm sorry that your shop is the only place in a 30 mile radius where I can leave Yodel parcels, I wouldn't be going there unless I absolutely had to, especially now. 9 times out of 10 I buy grocery items when I come to drop parcels anyway, which is probably why the company offers it. Should be a machine like Evri where you can print labels yourself so it would speed up the process so staff can enjoy lunch without having pesky customers to deal with.

Great shop and such a good range of items . The staff are so good and helpful . Small shop but basically everything you need . What do they say use it or loose it .

Had a disgusting member of staff twice have a go at me cause I got muddled up at the self service checkout treated me like I was mud on his shoe if this is the service I'm going to get I'll be shopping elsewhere. On a side note some of the prices here at at spar are extortionate.

Well done Spar and its Managing Director
Well done Spar, and its Managing Director, Mr Jerry Marwood. I had a problem with one of those pesky Corned beef key tin openers, and had a bit of trouble getting photos of the offending tin, and its contents, to the Customer Services Dept. Long story short, wrote to Mr. Marwood expressing my unhappiness with both the tin and the lack of response. In the post today a HAND WRITTEN letter from Mr Marwood, and another from a Marketing /Customer Service Controller, expressing their regret at what had happened and giving a very satisfactory apology and offer, which I accepted. Now that is what I call GREAT customer service. Other companies, please note!!!

The worst supermarket in uae any other bakala would be more serviable than theim i am talking about spar abu dhabi the one near chamber of commerce

I was shocked because on the app it said it opens at 7 well at half past 7 closed at 7 45 closed never ever trust spar

They literally put a price of something and said it is on sale and when we came to buy it they give us another price
