Fitters were great
Fitters were great, but scaffolders broke 4-5 tiles on taking down scaffold and I only discovered by chance on entering the attic and seeing light through the roof. Tiles replaced but no apology given. In fact the after-sales agent was a poor communicator and neither he nor SESE were able to give much info on operating the software, which is surprising and disappointing. You'll probably get a good install but keep a close eye on the rest.

An enjoyable experience
An enjoyable experience, they listened to my requirements and tweaked the specifications, a compedative quote, along with helpful staff in all departments. Installation went without any hitches with well trained and helpful installers who left the site cleaner than it was before they turned up.
Backup (mainly due to my lack of knowledge) was always friendly and helpful.
Will recommend the company to family and friends if asked

Really friendly, considerate, professional. Both the electrician, Ross, and the roofers, Andy and Tommy, were absolutely brilliant. They did the work to a high standard, explained options, and did all they could to explain exactly what they were doing. Highly recommended.

Excellent Sales Service
I recently worked with Billie-Jane France from South East Solar, and I was thoroughly impressed by her professionalism. She put together a highly detailed solar PV design for my home, and the sheer effort and expertise she invested in the proposal were greatly appreciated. While I ultimately chose another provider due to a few minor, project-specific reasons, I would highly recommend Billie-Jane to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated sales executive.

Excellent service all round from SESE
Excellent service all round from SESE. Installation was fast, efficient and mess free. Jade was particularly patient with me as I made various tweaks to the number of panels and batteries. I have become somewhat obsessed with watching how much my electric costs me now (usually about 4p per day, except for that cursed standing charge). Handover documents and all necessary documentation to enable setting up exporting to the grid were promptly provided and made that process easy. Aftercare was also excellent as I got my head around how it all worked. All in all I had a positive and stress free experience. Also, they were considerably better value than other installers I looked at. Highly recommend them.

SESE were recommended by a family…
SESE were recommended by a family member as their installation of solar panels and complete system went so well. Ross the electrician came once the panels were fitted and spent most of the day setting the system up very efficiently.
He was very polite, knowledgeable and there was no mess to clear up afterwards.

Professional and proficient solar energy company
The planning process took a while, with several iterations required, but my property's roof is a bit more complex than most. The final plan met my needs and price-point perfectly. The installation went smoothly. The installation team members were professional, knowledgable, swift but accurate in their work, and courteous at all times. The same applies to the office staff, also the scaffolding teams. Our solar electric system works very well, delivering 95% of my property's electricity consumption in its first week (early September). I strongly recommend South East Solar & Electrical.

Excellent, Professional Service
The level of service for the design and installation of my solar panels provided by SESE was excellent from start to finish. The staff were helpful and professional throughout from the first point of contact with Billy-Jane to the final installation involving Joe, Chris and Dustin. Chris and Dustin were meticulous in their completion of the task to the highest of standards despite the length of the job and the adverse weather conditions, remaining remarkably cheerful throughout the whole process!

From the get go the team have been great. We thought we could only do our main roof but options for extra capacity were discussed for the flat roof. All fitted without fuss. Scaffolding team arrived on time no mess all cleared up and the system is working well. Would recommend without any hesitation in avoiding industry where you hear so many horror stories a pleasure to work with this organisation.

Got to South East Solar via Switch…
Got to South East Solar via Switch Together Essex. Whole process from start to finish was very smooth. From the initial enquiry a detailed plan and costing were provided, a site survey was next and the guy who did it was very helpful with answering my questions. Scaffolding was erected a couple of days before installation, installation was completed in a day, the installers were very pleasant and worked tidily, they involved us in deciding where to run internal and external cabling. At end they ran through everything and helped set up the app and explained how it worked. Communication was good throughout the process and it was easy to speak to someone at SES on phone. So far we are only paying standing charge for electricity but its still summer, as soon as documentation is complete we can start selling back to grid

Overall
Overall, we had a good experience with South East Solar & Electrical and would be happy to recommend them.
The pre-sales team were very helpful, responsive and easy to deal with. Everything was organised smoothly, and they promptly arranged an installation date. The installation itself was also excellent – the installers clearly knew what they were doing, were professional, and we were very happy with the finished installation. There was a small issue with the scaffolding being taken down, but that wasn't South East Solar's fault.
The reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 is mainly down to the aftercare. It took over two weeks for us to receive all of the paperwork, which was a little frustrating. We also unfortunately had a fault with the solar system, which meant we had no solar generation for around a month. Once someone responded and the issue was looked into, it was fixed quickly, but it was disappointing to miss out on essentially the whole of a very sunny July.
Overall though, our experience was positive. The sales process and installation were both very good, and the main issues were the paperwork and the time it took to respond to the fault, rather than the quality of the installation itself.

We’re sorry to hear that you found the aftercare frustrating, particularly with the issue you experienced with the system. We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to miss out on solar generation during such a sunny period. We’re pleased that once the issue was identified, it was resolved quickly, although we appreciate that the initial response time was longer than you would have liked.
In relation to the paperwork, we do advise customers that the full handover pack is provided approximately two weeks after final payment. There is a fair amount of information that needs to be collated following installation, along with the application and processing of the necessary certificates, warranties and other documentation, we do aim to get this done as quickly as possible.
That said, we appreciate your feedback regarding communication and response times, and we’re continually looking at ways to improve our aftercare process and ensure customers receive the support they need as quickly as possible.
