South East Solar & Electrical Omdömen 

I have had solar panels, battery, car charger and emersion heater controller fitted. I asked to have my south facing roof fully covered in panels. South East Solar efficiently redesigned the system and requoted. Permission to export the higher power was required before installation so my original date was put back. I then required a new smart meter that put back reliable readings from Octopus. I am now getting some reliable readings and it looks like I can run my house and charge my PHEV at little or zero cost In October. I won't know the overall performance until I run the system for a year but it looks very encouraging. It has been an interesting project and South East Solar have been a pleasure to work with.

The installation team were excellent, very polite, and tidy work, they even popped back quickly when I needed them!

Had Cam and Cerys install a new Inverter, batteries and EV charger to upgrade my existing Solar system and increase capacity. They were both friendly and completed a very tidy install, and went through the setting up of the App for the inverter and the charger.

I booked a Solar Installation via Switch Together. From the beginning the whole process was seamless and efficient. The staff at the call centre were friendly and professional. The installation team were great. They explained every step and asked for my approval for the sighting of the equipment and cable runs. The system is running really well and we are very pleased with it.
We were also introduced to a very favourable finance deal!

Excellent service all round from start to finish. I had 10 panels and 3 batteries installed. I would highly recommend SESE.

We had SESE install our roof top solar system in September 2026. There three sort of elements, scaffolding, Solar installation and Electrical installation. The scaffold contractor (used by SESE Ltd) were you're typical scaffold type, they need better H&S and are inconsiderate to householders property why do I say this? Because they throw scaffold clips & other to the ground from above and by doing so, they snapped off a decent of our Plum tree that we have been cultivating for the past few years so that is not so good. On arrival on site the scaffolders started to go up on to the rear of our property and I had to advise them that the panels were being installed to the front of the property per the plan I had? Where the scaffold company did well was to allow the scaffold to remain on site for longer when it became clear that I would need SESE Ltd to return to install additional anti-bird mesh (See below) The team from SESE Ltd who installed the roof top solar panels themselves were good, quick and tidy however they did not spend time explaining what they were doing and immediately they finished they left site without speaking to us and explaining what they had done fully which would have saved us money in the end if they had! The electrical part of the SESE Ltd team were brilliant and did an overall great job with the exception that 1) they were unable to install the 'Emergency' socket because they couldn't get a separate 'earth-Rod' in to the ground for the circuit (I have subsequently done so) and 2) They were unable to complete the hot water solar connection that used the immersion to heat the water, the reason for that was that the existing immersion circuit in the house had been tapped in to by a previous owner to feed a power shower which meant that under the rules they were unable to install the solar water heater element. How could SESE Ltd have improved the outcomes? In advance of the installation they could as part of the pre survey they undertake check the basics like is the immersion system on its own circuit? Does installing a separate Earth rod look to be easy, hard, very hard, impossible and depending upon the answers and outcomes of those simple checks perhaps provide the householder some solutions up front at extra cost of course. The other area that SESE Ltd DID fail us was to deduct anti-bird nesting mesh from a flat room area of the solar panel installation - They removed this element from the works because they say "That the flat panels have an aluminium skirt around that prevents bird access" however, I sent them photos showing how I could get my hand spread open underneath the gap left by the installation which was plenty of room for pigeons and other birds to get underneath and nest! It cost me an extra £315 (less than 30 mins work) to have them return to install the mesh as they refused to accept that it was their failure of judgement to not include it so beware of this if you are having any solar panels fitted to flat roof areas! It is not something that I as a householder could have foreseen as its outside of most peoples experience and technical knowledge of such things until one has it done at least once. All in all I am very happy with the operation of the new solar panel system, I have now to ask SESE to return to retro fit the immersion heater unit and Emergency socket now I have resolved the issues and hopefully will benefit even more from the installation. I would use SESE again as their technicians are excellent, it is their systems implementation and planning that are wanting and the scaffold contractors they use should be monitored far more closely for performance.

Once the works were finished Ross clearly explained how the panels work and also guided me through works that had been completed. He then showed me an application that I can use on my phone that tells me how much energy the panels are collecting and other essential information about the solar panels.
