Soundproof Cow really impressed us
Soundproof Cow really impressed us. We were trying to reduce noise that was traveling right through the walls of a house built in 1835. There was so much conflicting advice on the internet about what to do, but we found Soundproof Cow's information to be the most helpful and specific. We followed it and used Quiet Barrier MD and tape and that worked very well. Now much more conversation and activity can go on privately in the different parts of the house than we thought could be possible in such an old place. One other thing-- when the delivery service initially took our materials to the wrong house, Soundproof Cow sprang into action and helped to fix the problem immediately.

Company very helpful. Info provided was accurate. Product was not conducive to construction adhesive. Used staples to attach to walls. But once the panels were up...WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Highly recommend this product...but don't try to glue to wall.

Justin was extremely helpful despite my having a thousand questions! I spoke with another rep initially who was also great. The automatic door sweep was easy to install. Only slight issue is the rubber gasket is falling out on one side but I believe that's because I might not have hung it completely straight so I think it should be easily fixable. Will adjust when I buy your perimeter.

turned out it was unorderable in California and a nice person sent me a email and so advised me. You also promptly credited my account. None of that would have been necessary if the First Gentleman had asked me where I lived and advised me that certain products could not be sold in California

Your review has brought a few things to light that we need to address internally.
The first being empathy and explanation. Our sales team talks to a lot of people every day, and many of the issues discussed are very similar, if not the same. Our team has seen the successes and failures for these common issues. We do our very best to give our customers the best possible solution for the best possible price. It is never our intention to make our customers feel anything except for heard and happy with their experience / the resolution (when applicable). Anything other than that is not acceptable. I do truly apologize that this is not how you left feeling after working with our company. Our management team will be reeducating our sales team on the use of empathy and explanations / education.
Lastly, we have requested that our development team work on making the Prop 65 warnings for CA more prevalent on the product pages that are affected by the ban, to improve our customers online experience moving forward.

This is an updated review
This is an updated review: About two weeks delay before shipping, but everything arrived. I had missed the email with the shipping info at first.
The self-adhesive soundproofing sheets seem solid and well-built. Pretty heavy (I got the thickest size), but the adhesive is strong and seems to hold well even when I made a small mistake and had to pull out and adjust a sheet twice. Still in the process of installing them. A bit difficult to cut and install by a single person on an already finished wall behind a wall-mounted TV (which I took off, of course) around an existing shelf and outlets, but I am making it work by cutting it into a few smaller sheets. It's just two 8x4 sheets behind the TV. They would be ideal for inside an unfinished wall, but my wall is already done, and I don't want to re-do it, nor can I cover the entire wall or room. I will be covering the rubber with some other decorative acoustic material for a finished look. So, this may be a bit atypical usage of the product.

You’re damaging your business by shipping via UPS into the Seattle area. In my case I’m paying more for shipping than I’ve paid for the product, but I’ve now spent big portions of two full days to coordinate shipping to my suburban home. I’m still not certain UPS can organize themselves well enough to actually complete the delivery.

We also understand your frustrations regarding the cost of shipping, since 2019 the price of shipping items has gone through the roof. We do our very best to try to give our customers options, that is why we added Fed Ex as a shipping option for all purchases, however, the negotiated rate that is populated is often lower with UPS due to the volume that we ship with them.
We will reach out via the email on file to see if there is anything we can do on our end or through our UPS rep to help alleviate some of your frustrations. We would be more than happy to try!
