Muhammed has been excellent from start to finish with my remortgage. Everything has been handled so professionally and efficiently that I’ve actually enjoyed the whole remortgage process (when I’d actually been dreading it for quite some time prior).

Had some dealings with Sort Legal earlier in the year. All good, no issues. Main reason for 5* review is the efficient way they have dealt with a query I had earlier today (Xmas eve) when I mistakenly transferred some £ to them in error. One quick call later and money back in my account. Fair play. Thanks to James for sorting. Customer for life now 👍

Elliot from Sort Legal has been fantastic. At the beginning of our house sale and purchase, we didn’t speak too much and the communication was slow, but I imagine that’s quite normal whilst all the plans are being put in place(?).

When things started to pick up and we had extreme issues with our buyer, Elliot was there every step of the way, with professional advice, but also a shoulder to cry on. He was very punctual with his responses and helped push things along. We could feel that he cared and really wanted to help us through our problems.

With everyone involved, including Sort Legal and the estate agents for our sellers, he helped us move into our home before Christmas which we were worried couldn’t happen.

We would highly recommend Sort Legal for the professionalism but also the personal relationship building we had with Elliot. Thank you so much to all involved, including Lava.

I just bought my first home, and Adriana Holmes made the entire process seamless. She always kept me up to date on the progress of the purchase and helped keep me at ease throughout. Honestly, I can’t recommend her enough!

I would strongly advise anyone considering Sort Legal to look elsewhere. My experience with them was genuinely one of the worst I have ever had with any professional service. From the very beginning, the process was unbearably slow, disorganised, and full of unnecessary obstacles created entirely by their own internal systems.

They repeatedly missed multiple deadlines — not just by a few hours, but by days — and never once communicated proactively. I was constantly the one chasing updates, only to receive vague responses or be told that my file had been sent “to the compliance team.” This compliance team might as well not exist. You cannot contact them, you cannot get updates, and every time something was sent to them it took nearly a week for even the smallest response. This alone caused huge delays and left me completely in the dark.

What made the situation even worse was the inconsistency in their communication. I posted my documents first class and also scanned everything over the same day. When I called to confirm, I was told that everything had been received and was “all good.” Then, days later, I was suddenly told that I was missing a document. Their internal communication is clearly chaotic and completely unreliable.

I was also told that paperwork would be posted to me — yet nothing ever arrived. Given everything else, it was sadly no surprise, but it added even more unnecessary delay and frustration. It’s hard to trust a legal service that cannot manage something as basic as posting documents on time.

Amjad in particular was incredibly unhelpful throughout. There was no sense of urgency, no clear guidance, and no accountability. Every query felt like it was being brushed aside or pushed off onto someone else, only for it to vanish into their week-long compliance backlog.

Overall, Sort Legal made what should have been a straightforward process far more stressful and time-consuming than it needed to be. Their poor communication, repeated missed deadlines, lack of transparency, failure to send promised paperwork, and general unprofessionalism left me extremely disappointed. I would never use them again and would strongly warn others to avoid them.
