Beware to use a DEBIT card with low balance to establish your account. At the least excuse you will be charged $100 (plus "fee" of $2.04) and this cannot be charged to a debit card with low balance. Alternatively after establishing your account delete the card detail from your profile. Three weeks after being charged wrongly when my professional apparently used a wrong code to delete an appointment we made together ( a week in advance), I gave up trying to get a full refund after 6 emails and broken promises of "accounts team will look into it". The psychologist however was brilliant!
Charged for being stood up

...except they didn't turn up, and then had the insolence to reschedule without my consent and charge me a cancellation fee.
Way to support those in need.
Do not recommend
Do not recommend. Had 1 appt and she said straight up that it costs alot to see her as her patients are long term.
She did not care to hear my issues and give me any support. Appt suppose to be 50mins. Done in 35mins. Do not use this service.
Do not use this service
Do not use this service. Booked an appointment after selecting my time zone. They then booked in a different time zone and I didn't notice. Left work early to attend appointment losing half a days pay. No attempt to contact me once the appointment was due to start and then just billed me as a no show. They did not try to call or make any attempt whatsoever to contact me, else I could have joined on the spot on my phone. Even after I explained the situation there was no recognition of blame on their behalf and they will not return the steep $100 fee.
Mercenary and lack compassion. Beware!
Found the service lacked depth, insight and any real psychological support. Focused on financial solutions of which they had no concept (and that I had a lawyer to advise me about) but ignored my concerns regarding anxiety and anger which was why I was there in the first place. I experienced a personal emergency that clashed wuth my appointment. When I finally figured out how to cancel an appointment (buried in their website with no option on their text reminder service), giving them a days notice, the decided to charge me a $103 cancellation fee anyway. No enquiry why. No compassion in spite of the significant notice. No appreciation of the pressure that such an act would place on an already desperate situation. Unfortunately this is not somewhere you will found understanding and support - just another mercenary psychological service pretending to help to take advantage of vulnerable people and the government's mental health plan.

I had an appointment booked and last minute the childcare i had organised to watch my newborn baby so i could attend appointment cancelled.
They charged me over $100 for a free bulk billed appointment. They took my only money as a new mother on maternity leave. We now cannot do our weekly food shop.
When I reached out to them they cancelled my account and just do not care.
Saying I should of provided 24 hours notice… how would i do that when my childcare cancelled five minutes before.
They will just cancel your appointment…
They will just cancel your appointment without calling you. You have to chase them up for private health receipts and tell them how to write the receipt so you can claim it back from your health fund, they lie when you do get in contact with them. This doesn't represent their psychologist that work under their banner, they are fantastic. But the people who run the platform are incredible hard to deal with. They don't comprehend English, they don't acknowledge how they run their business is even more harm on someone's mental health. They are not easy to contact. They forget people actually don't need a referral and do pay for these services privately. I have had a great psychologist, and will continue with her privately if I can. The middle man is hurting my mental health more!
Sitting here waiting for my clinician…
Sitting here waiting for my clinician and there’s no one here. First apt. I check time again and see it’s Sydney time and an hour earlier than my original booking. Confused I review original email and there’s my original time. So I’m not paying for something that isn’t my fault.
That and they tried to get me to sign an unfilled ndis form. Support agreement. Um no. I need to do that with the clinician and it needs to have costs and names ect on it. What a load of poo!!
I now completely understand why mental…
I now completely understand why mental health is is a huge problem. Referrals to places who are not taking new patients, appointments that are cancelled by the doctor, telephone health appointments and no one calls....
Being told to just call someone else.
THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN AND HAS BEEN FOR YEATS. So sick of hearing about all the help out there and it's just lies.
If you’re struggling and seeking meaningful, reliable psychological care, PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE
Someone.health is not a real mental health clinic, but rather a platform that connects users with freelance psychologists. There is zero quality control, no duty of care, and a complete absence of clinical oversight.
I tried to engage in therapy here during an incredibly vulnerable period of my life. I gave it multiple chances (five sessions) but walked away more distressed and depressed than when I started.
Requests to collaboratively create a care plan were repeatedly ignored. Sessions lacked structure, professionalism, and clinical insight. I was greeted with “What’s up?”, dismissed with lines like “You do too much” or “Everyone goes through this,” and told that “maybe you just need a holiday” after explicitly explaining how my depression had severely impacted my employment. These responses were not only unhelpful, they were re-traumatising.
There was a serious communication gap that left me feeling unheard and misunderstood. After jumping through hoops to switch practitioners (the platform makes it incredibly difficult to change from the first person you see), my new psychologist failed to show up and cancelled all future bookings without explanation. They then disengaged from the platform entirely. There was no explanation, no handover, no follow-up.
Someone.health allows psychologists to disappear at a click. While they are highly strict about charging patients for late/cancellation fees, there’s no protection for clients nor guarantee their psychologists stay, no minimum notice required, and no communication from the admin team, who don’t seem to have any more access to their schedules than clients do. You could show up for your next session only to find the psychologist vanished and nobody will be able to explain why.
If you’re navigating mental health challenges and looking for consistency, clinical professionalism, or even just basic reliability, this is not the place. I wish I hadn’t wasted my limited time, energy, and rebated sessions here. It has genuinely left me more traumatised than helped.
Please don’t go through what I did. You deserve better.

Had, Appointments with Adam jeffrey and Found him to be Great with Dealing with my Anxiety and Depression and Stress at Work. Very thoroughly with me on Dealing with the Stress at Work and in my Personal life and by doing So my Sleep pattern has returned and i have used the Relaxation techniques to great effect.
Unethical, money-grabbing practices from a mental health provider.
I had an appointment booked and needed to reschedule. I first tried the night before through Someone.Health’s website — but it blocked me, saying I couldn’t reschedule online within 48 hours of the session, and I had to call instead.
Their own cancellation policy says 24 hours’ notice is required — but the site cuts off online changes at 48 hours. So I was forced to wait until the next day to call, and due to circumstances outside my control, I didn’t get through until about 1.5 hours inside that 24-hour window.
I still gave nearly 23 hours’ notice, explained the situation, and asked to reschedule. But the staff were completely unhelpful and cold. No empathy, no understanding, and no flexibility — just an automatic $102.09 fee charged straight to my bank account.
For a service claiming to support mental health, this is unethical and predatory. They have policies designed to trap people into fees — then hide behind fine print and robotic admin staff. This is not about care — it's a money grab.
The psychologist was fine, but the system and admin team behind it are the reason I’ll never return. If you’re struggling financially or mentally, stay far away.
Expect to be treated badly
Had an appointment. Clicked the link then waited. It would seem that I also needed to click into a waiting room. This was nowhere in the booking or in the emails that were sent. I sat and waited 20 mins thinking the doctor hadn’t shown up. To then be charged $102 for a no show. They have no interest in admitting their fault with the lack of instructions. I wouldn’t bother with them if you are going for stress or anxiety. It will be escalated.
If I could give this 0 stars I would
If I could give this 0 stars I would. My experience was bad from start to finish. They seem to have updated their website with a rebrand, but their service and psychologists are very poor. My psychologist showed up 20 minutes late and then seemed to be doing the dishes while having our session. Avoid this service at all costs.
Fake Reviews. Dodgy. Open Your Eyes
Horrible experience by the support team. Came on to check reviews - seems there are hundred of fake TrustPilot accounts leaving reviews on here (most accounts only have 1-2 reviews max...). Buyer be warned....
Never got the chance to talk to someone
The idea is very good however it never worked for me. The 2 first psychologists canceled at te last minute and the last one never turned up I was connected for 25 minutes inside the waiting room no one came. When I tried to contact the online desk, they were not helpful at all. Don't wste your time with those people.
Impersonal and Detached
Automated. Impersonal. Contact via email only. We were lied to at first about fees.
Worse than useless, detrimental!
Horrible company with horrible staff. It's nothing but a scam. They took my mental health level back years in a matter of weeks. Please beware. Would be more helpful banging your head against a wall.

Good and accessible mental health space
Friendly staff and very responsive. The psychologist I'm seeing seems very knowledgeable.
I was recommended to find this website and I'm glad I did. Is accessible and easy to find information. A great option for people to have mental health professionals available.

I found a great psychologist first up by looking at the profiles and selecting the right person for me. Thank you, Julia and Someone.health
