SOBYES ON CLARK AVENUE. I thought it was very important to WARM CUSTOMERS OF SOBEYS PRICE GOUGING. I have been overcharged three separate times $33 on a $7 item, $34 on a $8 item and $60 on a $25 item. Thank goodness that I caught each of these charges. I went back to the store, my time, my gas to get a full refund as I should. The way I was handled was that is was a common occurrence and oh well. Well it is a BIGGGGGGG CONCERN and that is why I am writing this review PLEASE PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECIEPTS THERE IS A PATTERN HERE AND YOU DON'T WANT TO BE A SOBEYS VICTIM.

Sobeys, Calgary Millrise. March 17 2026. I was in Sobeys and picked a bag of reduced price bananas. I weighed them and found the price per kg to be more than the regular quality bananas. after speaking with 2 employees and 2 managers, nobody was able to give an answer or any discount. Are they taking advantage of people that don't weigh and verify prices?

Received some real help tonight from cashier Tripp. He was the embodiment of helpful service. Tripp rocks

Bought a large Greek salad yesterday for 16.49 at the sobeys on East mountain Hamilton. Took it home and opened it to serve for supper and the lettuce under all the toppings were rotten. Threw it out this morning as it's garbage day. Disgusting for the prices they are asking for in store. Won't be back!!!

Went to SOBEYS TO SHOP TODAY BUT WILL NOT BE GOING BACK, EVERY WEEK THEIR PRICES ARE UP.
MOST EXPENSIVE GROCERY STORE IN SIMCOE.
OIKOS YOGURT $5.49 ,the same yogurt in any other place in SIMCOE $3.97.
Heinz chili sauce
$7.99 most other places five dollars and change.
2 tomatoes $4.50.
This is only a few examples but most other things are priced higher than Any other grocery store in SIMCOE.
CAMPBELLS TOMATO SOUP I USUALLY BUY AT WALMART ON SALE FOR 77 cents was priced at between 2 and three dollars.
Is this CORPORATE GREED?

So sick of pricing errors!!!! Every time I shop I find errors in pricing... have to not only bring back the receipt, but the product as well, and argue with the customer service people. I go to the shelf and take a picture of the price or special offer tags and show them. They are not apologetic and make me feel like I'm begging for the return of such a piddly amount that I am wasting their time. Meanwhile, how many people never even check their receipts???? Does not feel like a mistake - feels like stealing. Hey Sobey's, how 'bout you stop with points and bonuses and stupid games - JUST GIVE US FAIR PRICING!!!!!!!

I bought a rotisserie chicken from the Sobeys store in Parry Sound.
When I got it home I noticed that the chicken was deformed. I would not eat it so the next time I was in town which was five days after date of purchase, I was shopping at Sobeys and spoke to the butcher and he referred me to a check out clerk.
The clerk literally told me that there was nothing she could for me even when I told her that I could bring the deformed bird for her to see. That is after I had already showed her the receipt.
So needless to say I will not be shopping at Sobeys in future.

Today I bought apple cheese danish. One bite and I said never again. They looked ok but I really am disappointed . They are tough and dry and tasteless.

Posted sale prices for produce are in price per pound. At the cash register you see price per Kg and have to do mental arithmatic to see if the price is as advertised. Today green rapes were posted as 3.99 /lb but at self checkout the price was 11.99 /kg. Sure mistakes can happen but it seems there is a deliberate attempt to mask discrepancies by using both metric and imperial measure

Sobeys was always my number one choice as of 2025. It is not even on my list. I keep getting text messages and emails because I’m not using my card for rewards as much. I give them feedback, but they seem not to notice. Staff will argue when you can prove them wrong. They will still argue more. I take photographs and point out that this is the procedure in the past they are priced I do not have to write it down and everything else in the department is as I show them. They still will disagree. It’s like talking to a wall corporate as well as the store.

The quality, especially fresh produce and meats, is just outrageously bad!!!!!

Sobeys at east prince street Truro Nova Scotia can not be trusted at the checkout as almost every time I buy groceries I get double charged for random items I have brought this to there attention and there response is just stop back and we will refund you, no apology it’s as though it’s the customers fault, so if this is happening to me how many others is this happening to and how many people don’t pick up on the mistakes, just another way to legally steal from customers.

They had the best broccoli cheddar soup. Bought some today, it was totally different. Will not be buying again

Sobeys compliments breaded mild wings went from being the best to the worst. Had a beautiful dark coating. Now are pale white and very doughy . I really can not take them any more. Maybe some time you feel fit to return to the better finished product.

I went to Sobeys today for leeks that I needed for a recipe. When I got home and looked at them, the ends were brown and slimy and they were way past their prime. My local Sobeys in Waterloo has gone steadily downhill for the past couple of years. Very disappointed😕

I will not be ever going back to Sobeys Adelaide Street London. Everything keeps moving around. Many product names have changed including different sizes? You have no signage when you change. I don’t appreciate your security following me all over. Is it because they don’t trust an old lady who has been shopping since they opened. Felt I was being sexed after my old body ! Your prices have gone high and the SCENE doesn’t help out those who need it.. Very hard to donate my points!

I found the Sobey's in Parry Sound was not a good experience. Hard to get around with everyone restocking and not helping you by moving over. No one to help, except the nice man in dairy. The cashier was helpless. I am a senior on oxygen. I carry a portable, so very obvious. I put my bags up first because every single cashier I have been through, help me with the packing of groceries. This on did nothing to help. She had to get a price check and the person had no idea where to get a price. It was very visible. While he was looking, the cashier folded her arms and chatted with another lady, all while I was obviously having trouble breathing trying to pack my groceries. Then she guessed at the price of my item. It took me longer to finish packing as I was gasping for air at this point. This is not an exaggeration. She then stood there and waited until I finished before she could go on with the next customer. Not once trying to help. I have never run into this before, and I do all the shopping for my household and have for 53 years. The prices were much more than other stores also. When I got to my car, an employee was looking for carts, talking to another employee. They walked right by me, watching me struggle and never offered any help. I will never shop at a Sobey's again.

I am thoroughly annoyed at one, just one item in this weeks flyer. You've got a 272 gram container of Folger's coffee for 10 bucks! Honestly, how far are you going to go to with this downsizing, small sizes and pricing B**L*H**. You are greedy opportunists. Also, how is it that you hire people that can barely speak English, but they sure know how to take your money.

At the checkout I wasn’t greeted by Ashley. There was nothing friendly or unfriendly about the situation. She didn’t offer to bag or even help bag my groceries. I’ll look for a different cashier if I go back.
