They were always professional and fully cooperative in communication. The design teams always reflected my opinions in an active manner, and their skills and insights were excellent.
The design and quality of the books actually produced were the best. The collaboration with Snap Collective was flawless.

I love the quality of the books, the feel of the paper, the colors, and most of all the experience with the team at Snap Collective as an author, customer and eventually a team member.

My experience with this publishing house has unfortunately been negative. Initially I was entrusted with a somewhat slow collaborator and although I asked to change her, it took a long time to carry out the editorial process because of the slowness of her answers. In addition I had no support from the publishing house (no press release, no post on instagram or other social media) despite my commitment to social art. I had published a post with the promotion of my book with the brand of the publishing house and was taken away. Perhaps my editorial project was not to their liking because of the many social implications. So I wonder if you do not support an artist during the promotion how you plan to stimulate sales? Anyway the general approach to some of the technical editorial aspects, which I think are fundamental for a good book, it seemed to me very superficial. Too bad because the quality of the print was good, but it lacks of a strategy for promotion and dissemination.

I was approached by a representative at snap collective with an offer to ‘collab’ on a photography book. Their website reads like a vanity publisher however they proclaim it is at no financial cost to the photographer. As dubious as I was - I agreed to speak to a rep.

The representative was disorganised and unprofessional from the outset- acting as if they were doing me a huge favour despite it being very apparent they operate in shady ways.

I backed out once they refused to give me further information on production costs and profit margins.

Given the high price point of the books (it’s also print on demand and takes weeks to produce from point of order) , something is a miss unless they can provide clear data to justify their costs.

On top of that they expect the photographer to market and crowdsource 25 supporters to preorder the books in to make it into production (established publishers will do the marketing for you).

Although technically you’re not losing money - you’re losing time, energy and effort and a niggling sense that they are profiting off your work.

I didn’t appreciate the tone of the representative too- she tried to use classic creative gaslighting tactics- acting shocked that I expected to receive some profits when I asked about this and that I should do it for the ‘passion’ and love of photography. It’s 2025 please. Young and inexperienced creatives please don’t fall for this. They are numbers driven and don’t care about creatives.

There’s a Reddit thread with a photographer who had exactly the same experience as me so I clearly wasn’t the only one- avoid at all costs.

If you’re an artist considering working with Snap Collective—DON’T. This company is completely unprofessional, exploitative, and lacks any real support for the creatives they claim to represent. They overpromise, underdeliver, and once they have your work, good luck getting paid fairly or even getting a response from them.

The lack of transparency, delays, and overall shady business practices make it clear that they don’t respect artists or their work. This is NOT a company that values creativity—it’s just another cash grab at the expense of hardworking talent.

Avoid at all costs. Artists, protect your work and take your talent elsewhere.

Great service and assistance when my delivery went missing in Australia (due to FedEx incompetence). I didn't realise when I ordered my book that it would take four months to be printed and delivered, so I missed the birthday present surprise. But when the book did eventually arrive, it was worth the wait 😁👍🏼

The editorial process is a bit slow and also the organization behind the projects should mprove,anyway the result is very good and the book Is in high print quality .
