I advise anyone that’s utilizing smile set, to urgently reconsider. This is the company that was once SmileDirectClub they just reopened under another name. They were investigated years ago due to their scamming tactics, which is why their previous business SDC ultimately failed and they had to foul chapter 11 bankruptcy with smile. I wouldn’t be surprised if this business failed again as they are still the same business they just opened up under a new name. Save your money people and go see a real orthodontist.

You really get what you pay for
I wanted to get some braces but it seemed like the fees were out of my reach. In addition to that we live in a rural area and trying to drive into an orthodontist to have my teeth checked on a regular basis, with gas prices as high as they are would also create difficulties. So I decided to reach out and try Smileset. I paid for the entire kit, over $1,000. And then I waited for my kit to arrive. When it finally got here I found that the impression trays were far too large for my mouth. I got a hold of someone and waited 45 minutes for them to solve the problem. They said they would send out smaller trays. They arrived after 2 weeks, and I found that they were too big for me also. I didn't want to wait for them to get here so I forced them into my mouth. This caused me to actually pull a muscle in my jaw. It was extremely painful. But I did get the impressions completed and I sent them back in. A week after I had sent them in I hadn't heard anything so I contacted the company. They couldn't find them. I tried to figure out what to do next and nobody responded to me. So I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to do after spending about $1,200 on a kit. No response. Haven't heard anything. No one will tell me anything. So far they suck. I'm going to have to get my money back and I'm not sure quite how to do it because no one will get back to me. Their services terrible and if this is how it's going to be before I even get the braces what's it going to be like once I get them. This company is terrible so far
Update - as you can see the company responded to my review. They said they were sorry but really just dumped it all back on me. My biggest concern is that it's appears the impression trays being too big is a known problem. It is the case why; why not figure a way to measure the customers mouth so the correct size can be sent? This aliminates the need to send them back and force, thus saving time and money. Not mention pain and frustration.

Saw minor improvement
Saw minor improvement. Each check in (I had two) I made my concerns known that I was not seeing the movement I expected. Each time the CSR tried to gaslight me into believing my teeth were correcting.
I finished my plan this week, and I am wholly unsatisfied with the progress.
Before SmileSet I was a guy with crooked teeth. After SmileSet, I am a guy with crooked teeth and less money.

My mint green ultrasonic cleaner and sanitizer brightens up my sink counter. It has 3 different settings, allowing me to clean my retainers by UV light or ultrasonic or both at the same time!

Current retainer quality is aweful
I corrected my teeth with Smile Set retainers 4 years ago. They had good quality retainers and it worked. The last set of retainers I ordered are not even close to the quality they were. They are very thin and will NOT stay in place. Also the delivery takes weeks. I will switch to Invisalign.
