Please do your research into this company before I do not recommend
I chose them as they were local to me .
But how wrong was I they came from Birmingham and complained about the distance they had to travel to come to me.

I don't even want to leave 1 star as they don't deserve any
Rude untidy caused damage to several items in and around my property and won't return to rectify
Say they didn't do it

Loft insulation was installed. Nothing was a problem. All work was done tidy and no mess left.

I have to say I was very skeptical about having a new boiler and insulation via the government scheme. But as our back boiler was over 30 years old and we were eligible we decided to bite the bullet and go for it. Our only small criticism is that we personally would have liked more information before it all started. Customer service was good and they helped as much as they could. But we have been so pleased with everything that has been done for us. The insulation guys(who were friendly and hard workers) turned up and explained everything that they were going to do, extractor fans in the kitchen and bathroom/loft insulation/air vents in windows, they just got on with the job which took all day. Before they left they showed us all that they had done, and cleared everything up after themselves.
Having the boiler fitted was obviously slightly more complicated as we had to decide where it needed to go and of course not everything went completely smoothly, but in the end it all worked out well. We are very happy with the new boiler which seems to be working well so far! The gas engineer and his team were great and worked so hard for us. Again they cleaned and tidied up after themselves only leaving us with some cardboard to dispose of. All in all we definitely made the right decision for us.

Before the installation, your team removed the loft boards in order to carry out insulation work. I explicitly requested that the boards be reinstalled once the work was completed. Despite several assurances from the team that the boards would be refitted, this has yet to happen. As a result, all items previously stored in the loft are now being kept in the shed, where they are exposed to the elements and at risk of damage—particularly with the colder months approaching. I have asked that new boards be installed properly, ensuring the correct spacing between the insulation and the boards. I am also willing to cover the cost of the new boards, if necessary

The guys that came for the installation were fantastic!
All three of them super polite and tidy. They left no mess whatsoever.

Only issue is with the main office communication. I had no idea what they were actually installing on the day, no email or text to confirm.
Apparently someone is coming tomorrow for the boiler but I only know about this from one of the guys who was here today.
Cannot fault the installers.

I would just like to make my review clear. The heating engineers who installed did a great job
The installation of the new loft insulation, not so good, looks like it’s just been chucked up there. I had some boarding and the insulation has been laid on top! I wanted to board the loft fully, but I will have to dig around in the new insulation to find the boards they covered, relay the insulation and then board. I don’t have PPE for all of that and it’s not my job.

I have a broken strip of spot lights in the bathroom and my carpets are a mess! I’ve called and complained, sending videos as evidence. I was told someone would come and sign off the installation and also look at these issues. All I get are excuses ie someone will call (they don’t). Customer service following install is disgusting! I will be filing a complaint to the energy ombudsman.

Update:- standard reply below and I have contacted Smartway energy and still have not had anyone round to sort these problems

excellent sevice by lovely guys , so helpfull , tidy and treated my house with respect ...highly recommend them , even though the travelled for eight and a half hours to get here and will have to travel back the same! and have done an exceptional job

I’ve just had my boiler / radiator jobs completed. (04/09/25). My engineer was absolutely amazing and a pleasure to have here. He was punctual, polite and very efficient; he explained things clearly and tidied up extremely well after he’d completed the work.
He left his work hoodie here , and I’ve even posted it back to the company for him today ; that’s how pleased I was.

Had a good experience with the company. I was booked in by a lovely lady called Sophie who was very informative and helpful. On the day of the survey and installation, I called her to confirm everything for the day. My installation was done by a lovely man who kept me updated throughout. Very good experience

Very quick & efficient, loft insulation, vents, fans etc

I wrote a review on the day they came to do the work and gave them 5 stars, they worked very hard and we were very happy with the new boiler. The loft insolation team put a foot through my bedroom ceiling and broke the light fitting in my sons bedroom, I was however reassured that they would be back to fix the things that they had damaged, and I believed they would as they seemed genuine hard working people hence the 5 star review. But now 2 months down the line they don't answer the phone, messages or email. I feel completely ignored and their lack of customer service is overwhelming. I was eventually told someone would come and fix the light, so I'd taken the day off work as it was important to get it done, only to receive a phone call to say no one was coming but they'd be in touch next week, unfortunately I haven't been able to get hold of anyone since. The man who fitted the boiler was brilliant but their customer service is shockingly awful. I could not recommend this company.

Edit after reply. You arranged one appointment only in which I took the day off work for. You then rung me the day before this appointment to say you were coming then instead, giving me only 2 hours notice and most definitely enough time to rearrange work. I was told you could not attend the appointment booked as the person was in Coventry and then had to go to Bristol and so couldn't possibly get to essex in the same day! You have not returned my calls or emails since!

Loft insulation fitted, new fans and window tickle vents. Very good job, house left tidy.

The guys all did a fantastic job at my property. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite and great with my little boy.

If having fans installed I would have covered a lot of my furniture it does make a mess but that’s not there fault I have a very open plan house !
