Excellent clever survey system with servers in the EU. Building my survey, making it look professional and collating the responses has been SO SO easy. Fantastic quick support team too. They have a customer for life.

A great survey platform. Very user-friendly, yet very professional looking end results. Have now upgraded to take advantage of further features, such as exporting to excel.

This product is acceptable if all you want to do is run a survey and use the output provided by Smart Survey. But if you want to analyse the data yourself there are numerous problems. For example, a) the downloaded data is all categorised as string variables, b) coding that should be 'zero' becomes 'one' . c) if you have used an 'other' response option, ticks in the box disappear on download and optional text response is inserted ( appears that there is missing data when that is not the case). Therefore pages of syntax have to be written before surveys can be analysed in statistical software packages

We have been using Smart Survey for a couple of years now and have found it very easy to use from an admin and end user perspective. It has just the right balance for us of features and ease of use - recommended !

I have found Smart Survey a great tool, i use it on a regular basis and find it really easy to use, yet it provides all the information i need which includes
- results presented in a simple format
-data easy to extract and use
-emails which are professional
- the help team are incredible and come back to you quickly with answers that actually worked which can be a challenge with other companies!!
Would recommend this over Survey Monkey any day!

Simple to use, even for a novice. Easy intuitive interface let me create professional looking surveys quickly even though I had never used survey software before, even in the free version. Nice graphical summary display of results.

Need to upgrade to a paid tier to get the full analysis and filtering tools, but that's fair enough really.

I had excellent support during the procurement phase - responses were timely and helpful. The product itself is very intuitive- building and creating surveys is very easy even when you need to make alterations to the contents or sequence of questions.
Responses can be analysed by a number of different factors. Graphs are easy to understand and interpret.
Senior Managers are really keen to make the most of SmartSurvey - using it has helped to increase employee engagement. Responses to surveys has helped to support continuous improvement.

I've been using SmartSurvey for just over a year now. I have found the system very easy to learn and use. It has all the functions and facilities that we have needed. Creating the surveys and downloading the results has been straightforward. The level of support and technical support from the SmartSurvey team has been excellent. I would definitely recommend them.

After researching several survey services for our education-based not for profit organisation SmartSurvey identified itself as the strongest contender both through their easy to use but professional product and also their superior customer service. Despite speaking to several different contacts due to our own administrative needs everyone we dealt with was fully aware of our account and the service level was excellent. The product itself has been very simple to use and has already provided us with better insight than we have ever had into how our clients perceive our service, what they would like to see be developed and how they rank us against our competitors etc. We have found the pre-populated questionnaire options extremely useful and have many plans for using the system in other ways to support our organisation - maximum impact for much less time and financial expense. Highly recommend.

I wanted anonymous feedback which could be quickly collated and distributed by email in advance of a meeting. Smart Survey really delivered. I was able to jump right in, it was easy to use and the report was impressive (even for my basic survey). I've only done one survey so far but from a quick look at the functionality, I can see there is potential for doing different types of surveys with different users in mind. Can't wait to experiment further.

Despite being a technophobe, I find SmartSurvey very easy to use. Building surveys is quick and easy and it looks really professional. The price is very reasonable for what you get. The support team are very helpful and always respond to my questions quickly. I've no intention of using any other online survey provider and would recommend it to anyone who needs to gather data.

Despite never having used software like this before, we found it straightforward. We particularly liked the ability to use smiley faces as a feedback mechanism.

The user experience is excellent - it was very straightforward to create a form, preview it, test it and then extract the results. Every type of form field I wanted was available and the interface made it easy to create the forms I wanted. Support was excellent too - there's a good FAQ available but if not, support replied usually on the same day and often within a couple of hours.

Easy and simple to use, loved the analytics that helped to understand and share the results.

We have used to conduct both parent/carer and pupil surveys at our school. Template are a great start point and allows easy customisation. Definitely worth giving a shot if you are looking for a simple way to run surveys

Neighbourhood Forums, established under the Localism Act 2011, are voluntary bodies that can prepare statutory neighbourhood plans. These plans are the final level in the planning hierarchy after national, regional and council planning policy. Over 1,000 communities in England are beginning to create neighbourhood plans. The plans need to be evidenced based in order to be accepted. Therefore, many forms of local community consultation are required.

As a member of a neighbourhood forum I was looking for on-line survey software that goes beyond the capabilities of free software, to support our evidence gathering. We have over 9,000 residents in our area, and might wish to survey them in six major theme areas, with multiple minor surveys. As a voluntary body we needed something affordable, with suitable capacity, and the capability to work with both mobile as well as desktop devices. Young people are a hard-to-reach community and surveys on mobiles/pads are much more likely to be accessed than on PCs.

I came across the UK based SmartSurvey software, found they offered discounted software for non-profit groups, and after a short evaluation purchased the Pro version of their product. Overall, I have been extremely impressed.

It is very easy to set up a questionnaire, and there is a very good range of question types and answers. Images and video can be embedded in a question, broadening the design. The design-test-redesign cycle is well implemented. The whole questionnaire can be easily branded to give a unique look. Deployment is simple, and with multiple versions easily set up. Usefully for a forum, it is possible to produce a print copy of on-line survey with ease, so that the same questionnaire can be used on street stalls or visiting where online use is not possible or low. There is also support for publishing links to the survey via social media such as Twitter or Facebook.

Analysis facilities are good, with basic summaries and a frequency count of answers immediately available. This aids continuous tracking of the survey. There are good export features, so data can be moved to Excel or R for more detailed review.

Given the cost of £15/month, I found this a very useful software suite and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The speed at which a survey can be prepared and sent out, and distributed via a variety of means such as email lists, social media or web sites makes it a very effective tool for carrying out a wide variety of consultations, such as in planning and community surveys. Local authorities would benefit from a slightly more expensive version that could allow them to get to know their community views in greater depth.

As an undergraduate student, constructing and conducting questionnaires can be a daunting process. However, discovering the services offered by SmartSurvey has made it intrinsically easier!
Not only does it provide plenty of format, design and lay out choices, but it also simplifies building and sharing a questionnaire. One of the most amazing features is the way it analyses and interprets the results, again offering the choice of different graph formats In which you'd like to see them displayed.
SmartSurvey was a great help in my Bachelor Dissertation and it has made collecting and presenting data very much less complicated.
Besides, it is the only survey service that I have come around that offers not only a free trial, but also a great student discount!
All in all, I would say that if you plan to use questionnaires and surveys, this would be the software I'd come to!

Good value for money. Unlike other services, monthly based contract meant I only paid for the duration I needed to collect my survey. There are many templates available to choose from which would be useful for professional usage. There are also customisation options for individual needs.
