This completely non-toxic sofa arrived today. It’s everything I’d hoped for — fits the space perfectly and is incredibly comfy. Simon and his team delivered it personally. They were really friendly and showed me how the inner wool cushions are made to avoid toxic flame retardant chemicals. This is a sofa that will last and Slow are clearly a company committed to sustainable hand crafted living. I can’t recommend these guys enough.

Absolutely amazing product AND service - truly professional. We purchased a sofabed from Slow last year - not only healthy and well made - but stunningly gorgeous and truly comfortable as both a sofa and a bed. Recently we needed to move the sofa to another room recently - it didn’t fit! Simon responded to my pleas immediately and dropped by after another London delivery to help us figure out what could be done. He calculated the most minimal intervention (removing one bit of trim around a door) and patiently waited until our builder popped by to do the removal, and then expertly manoeuvred the sofa to its new home. Now that’s what I call truly 5 stars.

We had the most excellent sofa reupholstery experience with Slow from start to finish.

We had a bespoke three-seater sofa originally made for our family, but it had been lying unused for over a decade and was in very poor condition when we rediscovered it. After researching different companies, we came across Slow and were immediately drawn to their use of natural materials and their beautiful design approach.

Simon from Slow was incredibly helpful from the very first point of contact. He was always responsive, engaged, and immediately understood our ideas and aesthetic. He sent us several fabric samples, carefully considered all our requirements, and guided us through the whole process with great care and attention.

We were also delighted that Slow organised both collection and delivery all the way from Devon to Yorkshire and back, which made the entire experience feel effortless.

Simon helped us decide on the best design direction and offered several thoughtful options for the sofa arms, cushions, legs, and other details. We really appreciated this collaborative co-design approach.

The final result was beyond anything we expected. We genuinely could not believe that our totally worn-out, 30+ year old sofa could be transformed into something that looks so elegant, modern, and beautifully made.

Having this sofa in our home now brings us so much aesthetic joy and comfort. It was worth every pound we spent.

Wow - talk about excellent quality, professionalism and customer service. From the start, I was taken care of by Simon and the Slow team as I navigated the uncharted waters of custom sofas. I was impressed by the value for money - comparable UK-made bespoke sofas are much more inflated (and snobby from my experience). From measurements to materials to color to delivery, I was given white glove service and it was also really enjoyable learning about the care attention Slow gives to their trade. The end product was gorgeous and comfortable and environmentally friendly.

We are delighted with our sofa from Slow Sofas and have no hesitation in recommending them. They offered us an enormous range of fabrics and created a bespoke sofa for us so we got exactly what we wanted. They were very patient in talking through the options and checked back when there was the odd query in the production stage. The appearance of the sofa is flawless and it is very comfortable. We’re now asking them to upholster for of our chairs etc to match!

Was looking for fire retardant chemical free sofas. Slow delivered a comfortable product to spec, great and personal customer service, and reasonable price for foam free materials. Slow but delivered on time and worth the wait. Feels like a small company that cares.

From every angle of this purchase, the team at Slow Sofa have proven that they care about the quality of their work. They quickly and thoughtfully answered over 30 of my emails, including discussing my sitting room layout through the diagram I sent, and cautioning me about my fabric choice (Linen / Cotton) just to make sure I was aware of the slight downside to it. Throughout the process, I felt truly taken care of from start to finish. The delivery was also seemless; showing up on time, and getting it into my flat without any bother. Simon took time to explain all the components of my new sofa.
Most importantly, they look out for Mother Earth.

The seat collapsed within six months and replacement cushions failed too—very poor quality.
