Would be an awesome concept if it worked

I really want to love this concept, unfortunately it just didn’t work.

I ordered a pair of jeans back in November. Production time was stated on the website to be about a month, but was delayed (they sent out an email stating it was because of high demand around Christmas). Fair game. I received a pair of jeans in late January.
So, after a two month wait I had my hopes up. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite live up to the hype. The colour (I ordered them in indigo) was lovely, but there was a slight flaw in some of the stitches; not too bad though. The fabric was disappointing. Surprisingly thin and did not really feel like proper denim. It does have a high content of elastane which makes sense in terms of fit but really does make the fabric a lot less sturdy. And you would think when they’re made to measure the elastane would not be necessary. I fear they would wear out quickly.
The real problem, however, was the fit. It was not just slightly off, they were actually unwearable, just way too big. Seemed several sizes off.

This kicked off the saga of the (attempted) return process. I requested a return which was granted after a few weeks on the basis that they made my jeans in the wrong size (size E instead of C I believe it was). I was told to wait for further updates on a new pair, and information on sending back the too-large pair.
After a month of waiting I got impatient and wrote to request an update. I was assured that they had been put into "express production" and would be finished in late March or early April (I think our definitions of "express" might be different) and I would receive further updates. I didn’t hear from them again.
In mid-April I had run out of patience entirely and wrote to ask for an update on my jeans (and if they were even making them) or if I would get a refund instead or what was happening. After YET ANOTHER two weeks and one more email from my side they finally responded that I would receive a refund and not to worry about returning the old too-large pair of jeans.

So after four months and A LOT of emails I have a pair of jeans that don’t fit and a headache. The customer service agent was nice enough though. They were just apparently incapable of writing emails without prompting.

A quick update as per the 15th of February 2025. I’d honestly forgotten all about this whole thing for a while. The company promised a pair of jeans that fit from their new release this last summer as well as a life time discount after seeing my review. However, they fell completely out of contact again. I have had no new jeans, I heard about their rollout in the summer only through their newsletter, and I have heard nothing about any discount.
As said, I had about forgotten the whole thing and I don’t really care much at this point about the promised attempt to make up for previous mistakes. I got my money back for the order that went wrong, so I consider all accounts settled despite what difficulties there may have been achieving this. But since trustpilot reminded me of this review I figured I’d still write a last update to the story.

I really do hope that this company has pulled it together in their weak areas because the concept really is awesome.

This journey has been filled with blood, sweat, and tears as we navigate uncharted territory.

Every step, from fabric selection to measurement systems to final delivery, has been a learning experience, often with unforeseen complications. We're striving to transform the fashion industry from a resource-intensive nightmare into a sustainable, personalized alternative. When we get it right - and we will - it has the potential to change the entire industry.

However, these challenges do not excuse the poor service you've received. The lack of proactive communication, the long waits between responses, and the failure to deliver on promises are unacceptable. It's precisely why I'm here.

Here's what we're doing to address these issues:

1. I'm currently living at our factory in Istanbul along with Kristian, overseeing a complete overhaul of our production process. We're sleeping here and working here, addressing fabric quality, fit accuracy, production, and fulfillment speed.
2. We're revamping our measurement system to ensure precise fits, reducing our reliance on elastane and focusing on true customization.
3. We're implementing a new customer service system with mandatory regular updates and a 24-hour response time.
4. We're overhauling our return and remake process to be swift and hassle-free.

Not worth the money honestly

I’ve had my jeans for probably a year now and they have torn at the thighs. So much for re-enforced thigh sections I guess. Pockets are pretty nice. It seems that they changed the design from what they were advertising in the makings of this company. For example, the adjustable straps on the waistband to account for bloating is no longer a thing. Also the sizes aren’t actually based on your true measurements like how they said it was going to be. I’ve done the measurements and used their AI measuring tool and both times I’ve gotten a jean that was too big for me but I wasn’t going to return it AGAIN just because their sizes are weird. All in all, not worth the money honestly.

Slow really means slow

Slow really means slow. It took exactly 4 months from the day I paid for my jeans to the day I recieved them. During that time there were extended periods of no communication from the agency, mixed with slow communication and miscommunication.

All that would be fine if the ultimate product was good. Unfortunately, the jeans have the look and feel of bargain basement knockoffs.

The denim is thin. The cut is basic. The overall look is generic. I can’t tell you if the jeans reflect the ‘custom tailoring’ I’ve been waiting for because I’m sure my measurements have changed in the 4 months since I took them. The jeans fit but not flatteringly.

I could have bought name brand jeans in a similar fit 4 months ago and gotten some good wear out of them. Instead I’ve been putting off jeans that fit better under the premise of being about the recieve my cusyom tailored order.

They’re just not with it which is so disappointing to say because I loved the idea and ethos they pitched.

Slowest Fulfillment Ever

TLDR: I still haven't received my pants. Don't buy these jeans if you want them this year.

I wanted to believe in Slo. I found them through TikTok and was so excited to hear about pants that seemed to be made by people who were finally listening to their customers. So in December of 2023 when they announced that they would be opening their own factory and would be selling the jeans at price, I put in my order for some jeans! I had hoped to receive them in time for the end of winter/beginning of spring and seeing the "21-30 day production" statement on their website just increased my hopes. Well those hopes are now dashed and I will be requesting a refund today.

Here's my timeline:

12/1/23 - Ordered pants and submitted size measurements
1/2/24 - Received a "Production Update" on order that pants were on a prompt schedule but did not pass Quality Control. The email read "The jeans weren't quite perfect." But promised "Your order is at the top of our priority list".
1/9/24 - Jeans are getting cut update
1/19/24 - Jeans are taking shape update (Stitching phase)
1/31/24 - Jeans are being washed update
1/31/24 - Offer to order another pair. I accepted. (no updates on this order since.)
2/12/24 - Ironing update
2/22/24 - Finishing update aka Quality Control
2/28/24 - Packing update; With promise of a tracking number soon.
3/5/24 - Quick update about order fulfillment email. Email says "that orders from your production batch are being packed as you read this email." Also "please note that your jeans are part of one of our larger production batches. So, please do not worry if it takes some time for you to receive your tracking number."
3/20/24 - Sent an email to customer service stating that I haven't received my tracking number yet and asking to receive it.
3/21/24 - Received a response. Was promised that the jeans are "finished with production" and "being packed as we speak". Also that I "should be receiving [my] tracking number before the end of March".
4/1/24 - Received Shipment email with tracking number. Shipment lists just pants as "shipped" while free shirt is "awaiting shipment".

PTS tracking just shows package is "Preparing" and has been since. Status history shows shipment data was received March 29th and has not updated since.

Honestly I forgot about my jeans. It's almost summer and I haven't received any updates since. It truly feels like that's what they wanted me to do. They wanted me to forget about my order so they could never send them. Today I will be requesting a refund and will update if needed.

Update: I received my refund. No further updates needed

Regarding the tracking number issue, I want to clarify that I personally packed up and shipped from the factory all packages that had a tracking number for a long time. The hold-up was part of a major communication breakdown between our business, our factory, and our shipping partner. I'm pleased to say this issue has now been permanently resolved.

2. We've completely overhauled our communication system with our shipping partners to prevent future delays and miscommunications.

I had one decent experience and now am still waiting on my 2nd order

I ordered from their soft launch and got my first pairs of jeans after multiple delays. I then ordered again in November 2023 and haven't received any updates since February 27, 2024. I just want the jeans I ordered. Their customer service is backed up and the last few emails I got were excuses as to why I hadn't received my items yet.

Regarding your November 2023 order, if you have a tracking number that hasn't shown any progress for a long time, I have some good news. We've finally resolved a fundamental communication issue with our shipping partner, and those packages have now been shipped. You should receive your jeans within 7-10 days, at last.

Never received my order, did receive a refund

I placed an order on 12/02/2023 and as of 3-19-24 had it cancelled and refunded.

At first everything went fine, I received production updates well within their estimated timelines.

1-19-24 is when I got my "tracking coming" email. I received the tracking information on 1-23-2024 which stated it was pending shipping with a tracking number created 1-13-24

By 2-14-24 it had not made any progress past pending shipping and I emailed customer service. They gave a same day response, vaguely pushing the fault to the shipping company.

On 2-27-24 a mass update email went out assuring customers that shipping would be resuming back to normal within the next week. They also acknowledged that some tracking numbers were no longer working, mine included now came up with an error message instead of any information.

On 3-12-24 I emailed again requesting an update. On 3-17-24 I received another extremely vague response that they would do a "deep investigation" into it and would be back to me. I responded that I was extremely unsatisfied at this point and either would like a concrete update by the end of the business week or my order to be refunded.

On 3-19-24 they replied apologizing for the issues, but did process my order to be cancelled and refunded which was received by my account prior to writing this review.

Comfy but didn't last long

These jeans are sooo comfy! However, I wore them from around December to March and they already ripped on the butt seam. They were not too tight and in fact sort of baggy. I expected much longer wear time on these than that for the price. I was part of the lighthouse group and wanted to love this brand so bad but idk if I'll be ordering again or not after this :/

Cautiously Optomistic

Update 8/21/2024:

I was offered a refund for the pants, which they didn't need to do, but I appreciate it a lot. Their newest employee, Ralph, has been doing a lot of work to get through the open tickets and address customer concerns. They have taken many steps in the right direction over the past few weeks!

I will continue to watch this company, but I am unsure if I will purchase from them again. Ultimately, I thought the pants would be much more customizable than they ended up being, and with my body shape I just haven't been very satisfied with their options.

I hope as they continue to rebuild and grow they'll be able to offer more flexible options, because that's what got me excited about Slo in the first place.

That was our first time manufacturing made-to-order jeans, and although we experienced some issues with production and fulfillment, we reached out to all our customers affected by this and provided additional compensation. It appears, however, that we may have failed to communicate our updates to you, and I am sorry that you've had such a poor experience and feel scammed as a result.

The fit is incredible

The fit is incredible! I was genuinely surprised by how well they fit given I have an odd body type that usually requires lots of adjusting (going up in waist to accommodate my big thighs, finding extra long lengths given my height). Slo nailed it! And they're comfy and stretchy and durable, too! They feel sturdy, but not heavy. They have a good stretch to them, which I need and appreciate. Overall, very impressed. It lived up to the hype! I shared pictures and videos with my friends encouraging them to get their own given my great experience :)

They've Ironed Things Out

Loved the TikToc story, decided to try them for myself. Don't think I'll go back to traditional jean shopping - why not just order some custom made to fit and have them delivered to your door?

Great jeans!

Ordered the jeans in November and they came.in early January - perfectly fine timeframe for made to order jeans.

They are very lightweight and they look great, so far they haven't faded and are very comfortable. The fact that they fit perfectly.is a huge plus! I would buy these again in a heartbeat if I needed another pair of jeans, and I would recommend these to friends and family looking for jeans as well.

The jeans didn’t fit and the service was bad

The jeans didn’t fit and even had a small hook but the company didn’t take them back, so now an unused pair of jeans just lays around in my wardrobe. Also they answer their mail after a month or even two

I've been following this company since day one

I've been following this company since day one and am very impressed at what they've achieved thus far! I've bought a pair of jeans from the very first launch and now from the first launch in the new factory. The rise in quality is amazing!
Jeans a very soft and stretchy, really comfortable! Measuring and finding the right fit took a while but was very worth it!
Shipping was also very quick (for the circumstances) and without any problems!
Hope the jeans last as long as promised :)

Impossible to get a refund

As stated in my previous review received jeans that were too tight, too short and didn't have really deep pockets. After months of waiting. Returning and getting a refund seems to be impossible if you don't upload PICTURES OF YOURSELF WEARING THE FAULTY SIZED PRODUCT. They think their policy overrides law. Also not only the production is slø, getting an answer also takes ages. Please beware

Hi Flora, I am sorry that we weren't able to help you with the sizing issues with your pair of jeans. I understand that our policies are different compared to other online clothing brands, and this is primarily because we are a made-to-order company and only commence production once an order is received. That being said, we certainly don't believe our policies override the law and I am sincerely sorry that this was the impression left. The pictures we request from our customers during the size-related exchange process are to help us understand where we have gone wrong with sizing, and to determine a new size so we can put a pair of replacement jeans into production.

As mentioned before, our sizing system is a work in progress, and we are working hard on simplifying the sizing procedure so we can provide the perfect fit. I am sorry that we weren't able to come to a resolution for your case and for that reason, I have gone ahead and refunded you completely.

Amazing jeans, amazing company!

I've followed this company since early on and have been constantly impressed by their growth and willingness to adapt to meet the needs of their customers. This company cares more about the quality of their product than about profit and it shows! The most recent jeans coming out of their factory are amazing and built to last. Over the top pocket space, soft and stretchy material, great fit, all around the best jeans I've ever owned!

I love them

I love them! They are so comfy, resistant, and cute!I was a little nervous about the sizing (if I would’ve made a error) but they are perfect, I don’t even need a belt! I recommended them to all my friends and family :) I am already looking at which model will be my next purchase.

My boyfriend stole my jeans

It's like they were made just for me (they were). The cotton feels really sturdy when compared to previous pairs of
jeans I got elsewhere. My glowing endorsement always comes back to this one fact: my boyfriend stole my jeans.

You need these jeans in your life

First, the fit. These are roomy and so comfy! I usually hate the waistline of jeans (doesn't matter where it lies, it usually makes me feel claustrophobic...) But these are so lovely I even ventured for a more fitted size (and can't wait for them to arrive!) These jeans feel like leggings. Or jeggings? But they're structured so still look nice. The material is so soft it's wild!
Second - Shorts.... I'm gonna need some jean shorts this summer.
And third, the shipping. This was made manageable for my nearly non-existent patience by the regular and cute updates on the process for my order.
Overall I've had a lovely experience with this company and their jeans, I will be a regular customer without a doubt, and I cannot recommend them enough!
