For the second year in a row Sling has deleted my DVR football games... I only use Sling for College football.. My subscription is restarted August of the pass two years and ends right after the Championship game.. Also each of those years I pay extra for Unlimited DVR space because I record the football games I'm not able to watch at the time its broadcast, so I Watch them later in the off season when football is over... Today My 60 recording are gone.. One of the projected benefits of Sling is.. You can pay for "JUST" the DVR and have access to your recording up until 9 months of the recording.. So after the last game I downgrade my subscription to just to Unlimited DVR subscription which was suggested to me by them to not lose my as a customer every year until football restarts.. Both years all my recording are gone in one day... My first recorded football game is the first week of the season every year August 31st... So 9 months expiration isn't up January 23rd.. They did the same thing last year too..

Tried Sling for a week free at an advertised rate of $24.99 a month then decided to cancel for not using it much. Upon trying to cancel, was offered a discount rate of $18.40 in the Sling App each month to keep my business. Selected this discounted plan in Sling android app and experienced the only technical error when using the app with "experiencing technical issues" upon trying to change to discounted plan. Chat with agent and immediately they want credit card and address info upfront without answering questions why they need this info upfront and they tell me that they can't give me that plan with an excuse that they didn't have the ability to change my plan themselves because of "partner billing issues". Really? This must happen every time when someone wants to cancel.
So, I created a new account and contacted Sling as a new customer to set up the $18.40 plan that I agreed too but could not get the offer to "update" and customer service said cannot do it either. Really?
Then, agent sends a pasted message saying the "everyday select plan is $19.85" fragment is pasted into the middle of service agreement but also lists the regular plan price of $24.95 in the same message without clearly explaining why there are two prices listed in the canned service agreement pasted message. I asked which price am I going to pay and agent refuses to address this question why this snippet of $19.95 is doing in the message without explaining what it is. Every question i ask afterwards is responded with the pasted service agreement with two prices with a pushy "do you agree?"after the legalize. And now there is no delay by Agent to consider what I just asked and now the Agent is pasting "Do you agree?" over and over about three times.
I finally say I think you are pulling a bait and switch scam and I get the same paragraph with two prices listed in the text with the forceful placed "Do you agree?" The agent responses are now conspicously delayed suddenly I guess to see if I'll just go along with ambigous pricing and forceful "Do you agree?" After stating the very obvious discrepancy the agent immediately disconnects and I get the canned thanks for checking out Sling. They wasted my time having to report them and going through the process of signing up again.
That discounted plan was never presented without conflicting statements what price you are agreeing to so it is my opinion that they very conspicuously peppered "The everyday Select plan is $19.95" fragment without explanation or logical flow in the paragraph and lists that you will be paying $24.95 starting on this day every month etc. but you cannot select it yourself because of the only glitch on the android Sling App is when trying to select the discounted plan although the Sling app presented the discounted price when I initially cancelled my $24.95 subscription. The customer service agent simply ignored any question to resolve the double meaning and kept pasting the aggressive question "Do you agree?" without clarifying the conflicting terms.
When I stated that the agent was refusing to answer this question, the agent pasted the "Thanks for contacting Sling" etc and the chat was terminated by the agent.
I guess they do not handle customer service by phone because a new customer can easily record the agent giving unscripted evasive answers. But text chat is better suited for a scam because they can paste carefully worded, ambigous, attorney approved pasted messages when a person askes about which price you will pay in the "Agreement"

Buffering and disconnection issues interrupt viewing
I have tried to deal with Sling directly to no avail. They tell me it's my internet connection (which has been thoroughly tested and reset prior to contacting Sling each time I've reached out) When they hear that, they move on to its your bandwidth and capability/capacity of my internet provider, also FALSE. Per Spectrum directly. I've spoken with supervisors who say they will followup with tech support and NEVER do. I'm ignored. I pay $50.99 per month and have hourly disruptions in service due to buffering, frozen screen and actually being kicked off the service back to my smart TV homepage. I have researched reviews and Sling seems to be at the top at 9.8! What now, this is ridiculous.

We’ve had Sling for years. They were basically a 5 star App. for us at the beginning..
The past year & a half we’ve been watching a lot of The FOX News channel.
We will be watching it and all of the sudden the screen would freeze or the program would black out.
My husband & I thought it was just the Sling App.
It stopped for awhile. But then about 2 months ago, we started noticing that our opening page just automatically stopped displaying our frequently watched programs & they put CBS News & ABC News on the opening page instead, This made it difficult for us to find the FOX News Channel. (We NEVER watch CBS or ABC News.) I/we are not the suspicious type of people.
We had started noticing some very strange station changes pop up a lot on our Screen when we are watching the FOX News Channel. I first noticed this when I was watching Martha Mcallum & I was feet away from any channel changer. When I looked up, I saw a large CBS emblem on the screen & 2 women discussing the president.
These types of things have been happening at least once a day for the past month.
Then today, I go onto the Sling opening channel page, press “Faulkner Focus” show. The Faikner Focus App disappears,
I then see the white bordered box that was around “The Faulkner Focus” App., now was around the CBS News App.
I try to go back to find The Faulkner App & then it starts tunning into the CBS News program…WOW!!! It is actually happening again as I write…...I am a bit freaked out about all of this.
It really feels like a hacking type of program violation.
We are going to report this & find another App. That offers the The Fox News Channel on it. We have Fox Nation, but we also want to find something with shows like, the History Channel, Discovery & others stations that Sling offers. I don’t want to worry about these weird hacks that continue to happen….

I signed up so I could watch the College Football Championship and then the Super Bowl. I tried to log on for the CFB but it just buffered indefinitely. I never got connect and ended up having to sign up for YouTube TV to watch the game.

DO NOT GET SLING TV! Basically, this company stole my money and locked me out of my account with no way back in. Luckily, it was a one-day pass, so I only lost $5. NO SUPPORT AT ALL! Chatbot is unusable and only gives prompts. Do yourself a favor and never give them a second of your time. Hands down worst experience with a streaming service.

Horrible, disappointed and pissed off at poor streaming service.....Third incident that sling kicked me out of my account while watching a major bowl game. It says I have other account users streaming but there is only 1 TV on in the house. Reset password and it still does it. I don't think sli g can handle the amount of viewers for these events.

Make no mistake about it. Sling TV is the slowest streaming service in the history of the world. If you're planning on watching a sporting event, start signing in an hour early at least. Also, try to get on two devices since one will almost definitely freeze up while the other keeps going. Both may freeze up, and you may miss the biggest play of the game. They couldn't care less.
Day pass scam
My husband got the day pass for $4.99. He was clearly told that the pass would expire in 24 hours. He watched the game and noticed a few days later he was charged about $50 instead. He contacted Sling and they said that he selected the monthly subscription when he absolutely didn’t. They wouldn’t refund. They are misleading and simply dishonest. Apparently this is a common issue. Sling is just straight up scamming people. They suck. The website, the employees who know about the scam, and the company in general. Just sucks.

I have sling blue and orange, I can hardly get any football games. Even when the Seahawks are playing a home game. Quit saying you have games on channels you don't have. This is the playoffs. I'm not the only one missing games because of your faulty information. I can watch korean baseball channels but not football being played in my own state on a local ;or non-local news channel. That I do get, when it's not a game. Or even east coast games.
