Flug GQ890 ATHEN - Düsseldorf, am 11.04.2026 um 08:15 Uhr. Habe den Sitzplatz 12C gegen Zahlung des Aufpreises gebucht. Es wurde keinerlei Nachweis gefordert. Durfte dort nicht Sitzenbleiben. Eine Stewardess forderte mich unwiderruflich auf, den Sitzplatz zu verlassen sogar nach Rücksprache mit dem Kapitän und zum Sitzplatz 3C zu wechseln. Seit 2004 lebe ich mit einem Auge dem rechten und habe keinerlei Einschränkungen. Ich wurde das erste Mal in meinen Leben so diskriminiert. Weder ein Angebot mir die bezahlten Kosten zu ersetzen, einem menschlichen Verhalten. Ich werde rechtliche Schritte gegen diese Fluggesellschaft einreichen. Ich fliege immer mit den Plätzen an den Notausgängen, beruflich so wie privat. Keine Fluggesellschaft hat das jemals angesprochen Ein unmenschliches Verhalten gegenüber einem schwerbehinderten Menschen. Ich fahre Auto ohne Einschränkung. Nie wieder SKY Express. Dazu kommt noch das sehr unfreundliche Personal.

I had a very good experience flying with Sky Express. All four flights were on time, the staff were friendly, and my luggage was handled very well. I especially appreciated how kind the crew were in offering water and coffee, something I’m not used to with other European airlines. Overall, excellent service and a pleasant journey

Beim Checkin in Frankfurt hatte ich zwei Damen mit 2 Kindern vor mir. Das hat mindestens 20 min. gedauert.
Im Flugzeug durfte ich nicht meinen kleinennRuvksavk in das Overhead Ablagefach legen, sondern musste es zwischen meine Bein quetschen. Warum kontrolliert man beim Check in nicht die Anzahl und Größe der Handgepäckstücke?

Sky Express — flying Athens to Zakynthos, we were told at the Brussels check-in counter that the connection with Olympic Air was fully coordinated and our luggage would be tagged for transit. It wasn’t. We arrived in Zakynthos with zero luggage. Two small children, including a 2-year-old. I’ve been on the phone non-stop since 9pm last night. This morning at 8:30, I was physically at the Sky Express desk at Zakynthos Airport. They asked me to fill out paperwork again — even though everything had supposedly been completed the night before. Nobody knows anything, nobody takes responsibility, and the two airlines just blame each other. My bags were supposed to arrive at 10am — still nothing. 15+ hours in and we’re still waiting. I really hope Sky Express steps up and makes this right.

Don’t fly
I would not recommend anyone to buy a ticket with SkyExpress, because as a passenger, you can anytime be set off a flight because of overbooking. With the usual rights to have a hotel room and to be able to go with the next flight. Whenever that might be. But they don't even ask passengers if they want voluntarily not to go. With SkyExpress, it's like a lottery. You don't know if you can go.
I was put on standby on a flight from Greece to UK
I was put on standby without any choice on a Sky Express flight from Greece to UK and told by staff they had a right to overbook by 10%. I was also told I was on standby because I booked a cheaper ticket and booked late (ie. it was my fault). I finally managed to fly but the same thing happened again this Easter with my husband and two daughters flying from UK to Greece for Easter holidays. My husband and our one daughter checked in but my other 12 year old daughter is on standby (meaning potentially none of them can fly).
It's extremely stressful and no compensation can make up for this. We plan our holidays months in advance and it's awful when at the last minute you're told you can't fly for no good reason, other than the airline think they have the right to overbook to maintain their profits.
I have also seen staff speaking unprofessionally to customers.
I have been flying UK to Greece for over 20 years and never had an experience of being on mandatory standby and lack of basic customer care.

flight from Thessaloniki to Athens on 27th March. They are calling for volunteers to give up their seat due to overbooking AGAIN. And in return they will receive a 250€ compensation. I am travelling on 28th to Milan. If anything like this happens i sweae yo GOD my only purpose in life from now on will be to make them go bankrupt.
Extremely poor service
Very poor service rating. Low quality customer services. Indadequately trained employees or chartered in people at check in. Slow to process and not customer friendly depsite being late in opening the check in desks leading to a 200 people long queue. When boarded, the airplane was extremely and visibly dirty. When we made reference to it to the cabin staff, they said they could do nothing about it. "The cleaning crew has already gone through it and they cleaned the plane" was their answer. If there was zero rating for this airline, they would be a prime candidate.
To avoid ! The customer seems to be only a disturbance
My first experience with Sky Express has been extremely disappointing.
My suitcase was severely damaged on flight GQ 890 (Athens – Düsseldorf). A damage report was issued immediately at the airport confirming that the suitcase was irreparable.
After several follow-ups, Sky Express acknowledged the damage and offered compensation of EUR 400, which I accepted.
However, during the process I was told that I could either accept a travel voucher immediately or wait at least nine weeks for a bank transfer. This made me feel pressured into accepting their proposal.
What I find most frustrating is that despite this clear agreement, the payment has still not been made, and my messages are no longer answered.
Problems can happen when travelling, but ignoring customers after offering compensation is extremely disappointing and leaves a very poor impression.
I have now forwarded the case to the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, as I unfortunately saw no other way to get a response.
Based on how this situation has been handled, I would think very carefully before choosing Sky Express again.
I would also like to add that after I filed a complaint with Hellenic Aviation, someone finally got in touch with me and offered to issue the voucher immediately. I agreed to this — but once again, there was no follow-up.
What really topped it off was receiving a message saying that my case had been resolved satisfactorily and was now being closed. It honestly leaves you speechless.

Absolutely terrible experience with Sky Express.
My luggage arrived 10 days late, and when it finally showed up, the suitcase was completely destroyed and unusable. For ten days I had no luggage and had to buy essential clothing and personal items myself, which cost me around €300.
What made the situation even worse was the extremely poor customer service. I had to send multiple emails and wait a long time before receiving any reply. The communication was slow, unhelpful, and very frustrating.
In the end, Sky Express offered only €60 compensation or an €80 voucher, which is completely unacceptable considering the delay, the damage to my suitcase, and the expenses I had to cover myself. This does not reflect responsible customer service at all. Also I must waiting 9 weeks for the amount
Overall, this was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. An airline should take responsibility when they lose and damage passengers’ luggage, but Sky Express clearly does not.
I would strongly advise others to think twice before flying with this airline.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE on wedding trip: lost bag, flight delay, and they refused to pay legally entitled reimbursement and they ignore emails!!!
Three major issues made my trip to my wedding location with SKY express very stressful:
1. They lost my luggage with all my wedding belongings – and didn’t even bother to search.
This was the most stressful part. SKY Express lost my luggage on Flight GQ 784 (Athens → Tbilisi), it was missing for 5 days and arrived one day before the wedding. It contained my wedding clothes, essential items for me and my groom, and decorations for the wedding.
I had to write repeatedly to every email address I could find, practically begging someone to look for my bag. For days, I genuinely thought I would need to rebuy everything for my wedding. They eventually returned the bag, but they did not want to reimburse for anything.
2. Wrong “residency” excuse + refusal to reimburse legally owed expenses
Sky Express policy states €30/day for delayed baggage. My suitcase was missing for four days, so I requested €120, without adding anything for emotional damage.
Instead of handling it properly, Customer Care (Ms. Antoniou Christiana) dismissed my claim with the excuse that I was “returning to my permanent address,” which is simply NOT true.
I do not live in Georgia. I was there only for my wedding. I even provided proof: my residence card and my ID with address.
After this, they started to simply ignore all 5-6 emails I wrote. They refused compensation that I am fully entitled to. No resolution, no communication, no customer service.
3. Extreme flight delay + 6 months of ignored reimbursement.
My flight was severely delayed. I was traveling for my wedding and had a lot to organize upon arrival.
Under EU law, I was entitled to compensation. I submitted a reimbursement request through a professional claims company, and Aegean even agreed to pay - yet over eight months later, they still have not processed the payment. Emails are ignored, no updates. Just a complete lack of respect for passengers’ rights.
I am very disappointed and upset with all the stress I had to live through . And the company did not even do what it is supposed to do ACCORDING TO THE LAW!
